3 Reasons Why Game Developers Should Steal XCOM 2‘s DLC Model.
Oh, don’t mind us, aliens!
In the wake of the various debacles surrounding Star Wars: Battlefront and its maligned sequel, I felt the need to examine the trouble of finding a balance between profit and pleasing the fans in the realm of gaming. Luckily, my gaming library and memory provided plenty of material for the topic at hand. The best example came in the form of XCOM 2, which I initially covered on this blog back when it first came out last year.
Without further ado, let’s examine the ga...

Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle Is A Wild Ride.
I absolutely adore this movie.
Ah, winter. It’s a time for family, food, and crowd-pleasing entertainment. And surprisingly enough, Sony and Columbia Pictures have a potential hit on their hands called Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. While some out there may be nervous about how it steps on the toes of Robin Williams’ 1995 original, but I’m here to tell you that such fears are unfounded.
This is the first video game movie that succeeds on every level.
The Cast Works Incredibly Well. One of th...

5 Great X-Files Stories That You Should Watch Right Now.
This series inspired legions of people, including me!
We are on the eve of a new season of The X-Files. If you’re new to this conspiracy epic or a returning fan, it’s important to get a clear picture of how this series mixes horror, romance, comedy, and Alex Jones-esque conspiracy theories into a package unlike anything that has been seen on TV. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of my favorite episodes of all time!
And yes, these will be presented in no particular order.

S.W.A.T. May Be A Reboot, But It’s Fun To Watch.
Here we go!
There can be no doubt that cop shows are like bread and butter over at CBS. Many of them have different gimmicks and methods of presentation, but it’s next to impossible to dismiss their enduring popularity. After all, NCIS and Criminal Minds have been on the air for well over ten seasons due to a good mix of humor, action, and investigative drama.
With all of those elements in mind, how does Shawn Ryan’s reboot of S.W.A.T. stack up to its competition? To put it simply, it’s the b...

Let’s Rewrite Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge Of The Sith.
Let’s get the scalpel out one more time!
This rewrite is a direct continuation of our rewrites of The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones. If you haven’t read those yet, be sure to check them out because several of the changes have an effect on our look at this movie.
So, it’s time to finish our scenario.
What if I was a story executive who was charged with perfecting the script of Revenge of the Sith? How would it be the same? How would it be different?
Let’s find out, shall we?

Let’s Rewrite Star Wars: Episode II – Attack Of The Clones.
This one needs a lot of work!
Before we begin, it’s important to note that this particular piece is a followup to our rewrite of The Phantom Menace. If you have not read it, it is a good idea to do so because some of the story points continue on in this one.
So, let’s get back to the scenario.
What if I was a story executive at Lucasfilm who was charged with editing the script of Attack of the Clones before it went into production?
Well, wonder no more! This is my take on Star Wars: Episode I...

Let’s Rewrite Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
There is a good movie here. It’s all in the execution!
It’s a well-known fact that almost every writer needs an editor to focus the story, tweak the characters, and bring out the best aspects of the conflict. With that in mind, let’s explore an interesting scenario that has been done a few times before. For lack of a better word, the Star Wars prequels are not very good. Most people know the main reasons why these movies don’t work, but few understand that there is a decent story underneath a...

Valor Is A Miserable Nightmare.
HELP!
The CW could be described as a network with a fairly lousy standard of quality that still managed to summon an army of teenage girls… for some reason. Naturally, I was a little bit nervous about the premiere of Valor. While I was aware of its development, I managed to go into the first two episodes completely blind.
And oh boy, I shouldn’t have done that.
Valor is the stupidest new show of the year.
Who? What? Huh?
Wanna make out later?
To put it simply, the performances in Valor were s...

The Brave Hits All The Right Notes.
It’s good!
NBC’s The Brave is the second of the three military/intelligence shows that are out this year on network television. Like SEAL Team, it features a hardened black ops team, missions in exotic locations, and lots of action. With that said, it has none of the nightmarish distractions that keep it from taking flight.
In short, it is the best of the three shows by a country mile. Yadda yadda yadda. Let’s get to it!
There Are Actual Characters Here!
In this scene, Dalton and the team hea...
