Take Jesus at His Word
Taking Jesus at His word. Do you trust Jesus? Could you trust Jesus to the point where you can walk away knowing he did what he said? This man walked away to his home trusting that his son was healed. Do you trust Jesus in your workplace? Do you worry what others think of you? Do you experience anxiety about your circumstances? Trust makes us graceful. We can share God's grace with others when we trust Jesus. How can you trust Jesus better today?

Intentional Good Works
What are you careful about? Are you careful to do good works? Mike thinks the word translated "careful" means to be intentional, purposeful and thoughtful about good works. Intentionally spend time putting yourself in a position to do good works. The good works are ideas from God. He will give you opportunities to serve others. Almost every opportunity to serve others may be an opportunity to experience God's joy. Listen to him and make some time in your schedule so you can serve and bless others.

How to Follow Jesus
Following Jesus requires that we deny ourselves. We only have 2 choices. We choose something other than Christ, and that is our choice. We follow our own choice. We believe successes come from making the right choices and taking the right actions. Tell yourself no. Deny yourself. Then take up your cross. Sacrifice your control over your life and join Jesus. Why did you make the choices you've made? When you do things you think Jesus wants you to, you deny yourself and follow Jesus.

Delivering excellent work lets our bosses and our co-workers know that they matter to us. It also shows Jesus that we recognize that it is He who we are serving by doing this. "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." - Colossians 3:23-24 Take the time to show others that you care by delivering excellence in everything that you do.

Getting Even
Do you keep score? Do you keep a record and try to get even? The Bible challenges us to bless others. We don't do something nice to someone to get even. We do something nice because we trust God. We are each accountable for our actions. If someone does wrong with us, God will make that right. Can you maintain good motives and good actions toward others, even when they don't do good toward you?

Peace with Everyone
Ask God to show you where you stress relationships. How can we live in peace with everyone? Is there anyone who has anything against you? Generosity, honesty, transparency, and forgiveness are generally accepted behaviors. Do you practice these generally-accepted behaviors? We can't make everyone be at peace with us. But we can do the things that bring peace. Ask and God will show you where you need to make amends. And do it!

Humility
Is humility a strength of yours? Do you think of yourself as different from the people you're with? In many of my jobs, I felt like I didn't fit. I believed I was in a place where I was called to serve, but not in a place I would have chosen to be. I almost felt like I was in exile. I was only there to make a living. If I had a choice, I'd rush back to the suburb and hang out with my Christian friends. But God challenges us to be one of them. I need to identify with them, more. Ask God to show you how to do this without separating yourself from Christ's body, too.

Use Gifts Anywhere
Our gifts are designed to be shared anywhere. God has given us each strengths or gifts. The gifts given to us by the Holy Spirit living in us are to be used wherever we are, not just inside the church. Our job isn't some lesser place to use our gifts, it may be the primary place our gifts bring glory to God. Your gifts are designed to make Jesus visible. Use your gifts wherever you can. Your spiritual gifts come from God but please, use them everywhere!

Have Sound Judgment
Do you have a sound judgment? Do you compare yourself to others? God gives each person a measure of faith. God gives us each the faith we need. He uses us each differently to accomplish his goals. The temptation to compare ourselves to others comes from our enemy. Focus on God. Work on your relationship with Jesus and focus on him, He will use you and he will use those who are not like you. Remember He uses each of us, those we agree with and those we don't.
