50-Word Sentences – Rose Thoughts

Beyond the hours, stretching impossibility into prose, the rose of my thoughts lingered like a tapestry hanging from a languid cord upon the pallid wall; minuscule in comparison to the immensity of what it lay against, a rock and stone impenetrable barricade through which only the seeking cold could seep.

.

50-Word Sentences begins its life today, after a conversation with your friend and mine, Richard M. Ankers, whose marvelous 50-Word Stories always intrigue and inspire me!  I said to him that I wished I could write them as amazingly as he, but being Superfluously Verbose, it was practically impossible for me.  Without missing a bit, he countered by suggesting I write 50-Word sentences, and I’ve taken him up on it!  I hope you will enjoy them as much as I enjoy creating them.

You Stand Waiting,

Lines Perfected, Curves Defined,

Like Silhouette on Shimmering Water,

A Play of Shadow and Light.

Bright and Night

You Lay Open, Expansive,

Key to my Heart, Heart of my Soul,

Silent before your lovers Touch,

Synesthesia Sweetly Implied.

Rich and Bold

You Sing in Majestic Eloquence,

Opening to my Fleeting Fancy

Every Imagination Illusion Yields,

Magic Playing from Magic Bending.

Table of Grace

Banquet for my Listening ear,

Luscious Feast to my Unencumbered Heart,

Where offerings Filled with Grace and Grandeur

Cascade in ribbons of Tireless Sound.

Loving Piano

Alter to my Weary mind,

Share with me one Precious Hour

The Mystery of your Recompense

While I, in Rapturous Delight,

Do Close the Window to my Soul

Speak from the place where Love Resounds

Without a whisper or single sound;

Heartbeat Ringing

as the Universe is Singing,

Bleak in the Midnight’s Subtle river,

Indigo Shadows and moonlight slivers;

Ah the Sweetest sound of your Love!

And Everything it Blithely consists of!

Talk to me without words or phrases

As the Candlelight, Your body praises;

In the maelstrom of Desire’s syncope ,

Me Whispering You,

You Whispering Me;

Delight passing through Velvet Hours

This Sweetest Love Blossoming as Blushing Flowers.

The law of retalitation.

Thank you to Bnv for allowing me to guest blog.

“You have heard it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’  But I say to you, do not resist an evildoer.  If anyone strikes you on the right cheek, turn the other also; and if anyone want to sue you and take your coat, give your cloak as well; and if anyone forces you to go one mile, go also the second mile.”

This is so hard.  Everything in me screams out to invoke every right and privilege that I think I’m entitled to and many more that I am not.  Whether it is a physical or verbal assault the instinct is to hit back.  If I get hit, my first reaction is to get mad, then cuss a little and then get even.  How am I supposed to minister to others if I struggle mightily with this?  I think it is better to be real about my own struggles.

This scripture is not about being a doormat or punching bag.  It is about overcoming the urge of the flesh to retaliate for any wrong inflicted on it, whether it be verbal or physical.  No one said it would be easy, but it is what we are called to do.

naked,

muscles torn apart;

a stranger lives in my skin,

and, look, how you thrive –

– thrive on my anger,

tippytoeing on my skin;

you’ll be the death of me,

and I know this to be true,

because Death carries no name

but the sweet-scented name of you.
