The Difference Between Showing and Telling
We’ve all heard it. You know it’s true.
“You’ve got to show them your story, not tell them!”
“Show how angry they were, don’t just say they were angry.”
“Slowly? Can’t you use a more descriptive word? Show me how slow they moved.”

Seirra (Writing Prompt Result)
So here’s my first short story that I wrote from using a writing prompt. It was fun, and I have done a few others since…not all of them are great, but I plan to share all of my completed writing prompt results with you guys.

Here's my result:
Everyone knew there was something strange about the Drifting Islands, how they moved like whales in the sea. How they disappear and reappear at will.
Some say the islands don't exist...others go into a deep study, searching for signs of their existence. All of them have failed.
Not me though, I don't belong to either group. I know they exist, and why they move. Because I've been on them...and I know the truth.
