Seirra (Writing Prompt Result)

So here’s my first short story that I wrote from using a writing prompt. It was fun, and I have done a few others since…not all of them are great, but I plan to share all of my completed writing prompt results with you guys.
The writing prompt said:

“Write a story that involves a countdown starting at 10 and ending with 0.”

Here is my resulting piece, “Count Down.” (such a creative title…I know…)

Count Down

“Ten.”

Sierra closed her eyes, her breath coming in short, raspin...

Short writing prompt result

If you want to see the writing prompt photo, check here:
https://www.facebook.com/writerscircl...

Here's my result:

Everyone knew there was something strange about the Drifting Islands, how they moved like whales in the sea. How they disappear and reappear at will.

Some say the islands don't exist...others go into a deep study, searching for signs of their existence. All of them have failed.

Not me though, I don't belong to either group. I know they exist, and why they move. Because I've been on them...and I know the truth.
