I wasn't really thinking about a sequel for this story, but I am working on another family story, and hopefully there will be characters in that novel that you will enjoy. :)
All the best,

I suppose this is because I feel like I need to walk with my characters throughout their journey. If I'm not with them every step of the way, I feel like I can't present their choices in a realistic manner. So for me, writer's block comes when I don't know what is going to happen next with my plot or character development. If I have a clear idea of what my goals are for the next twenty pages or so, I can keep writing. If I am blocked, I usually have to sit for a while and think about what is going to happen next. NEW SEASON, NEW BOOK

Hi everyone! It's the Tuesday after the long Labor Day weekend, which means autumn is in the air and new books are on the shelves. My third novel, The Matchmaker's Gift, comes out in just two weeks, and I'm absolutely BESIDE MYSELF with excitement! I've never had an autumn book before -- The Two-Family House was published in March, and The Wartime Sisters was out in January. There's something so s Read more of this blog post »

“We always think our own grief is the worst—worse than everybody else’s. But the truth is, we never know for sure what the people around us are feeling.”
Lynda Cohen Loigman, The Two-Family House

“Words can do anything,” she said. “A kind word can fix a person’s spirit. A cruel one can break a person’s heart. Wicked words have caused wars, and honest words have made peace. Why shouldn’t they be able to heal?”
Lynda Cohen Loigman, The Love Elixir of Augusta Stern

“The daily dread of being judged, of being measured and found lacking in some way, no matter how small, was a burden she carried, compact and profound. It was a too-heavy purse, worn and comfortable on her shoulder, which she did not know the weight of until she set it down.”
Lynda Cohen Loigman, The Two-Family House
