Angel numbers

I've been noticing lately that I see the same numbers or a sequence of numbers over and over again. One of my dearest friends mentioned it was a sign, guidance from spirt world. There's all kinds of resources and information out there regarding these "angel numbers." A quick google search will turn up all sorts of explanations for hundreds of number sequences. Like finding a random heart in the world, I consider these number sitings to be a sweet kiss/message from the universe. Once I started noticing, they just kept appearing.

The above numbers appeared over a span of about nice days. 222 is the sequence that showed up the most. According to this site, "222" means the following:

"When Angel Number 222 repeats in your life you are asked to take a balanced, harmonious and peaceful stance in all areas of your life. The message is to keep the faith and stand strong in your personal truths.
The message of repeating Angel Number 222 is that everything will turn out for the best in the long-term. Do not put your energies into negativity – be aware that all is being working out by spirit for the highest good of all involved. Angel Number 222 is also reminding you to keep up the good work you are doing, as the evidence of your manifestations are coming to fruition."

I love this! I'll take all the love, confirmation, and guidance I can get. Whether it's from the repeating appearance of number sequences, found hearts, coincidences, a telling dream, an aha-moment, or a good, validating conversation about faith, and trust. I believe it all matters, and it all comes from where we came from: our ultimate home.

Jim Collins said, "The most important lessons lay not in what I needed to learn, but in what I first needed to unlearn." This may be the most important permission I gave myself when I started painting a few short years ago. Come UNLEARN with us and watch your whole creative spirit and world open up. Your fears around creativity will be Unlearned. Your insistence that you can't find your voice will be Unlearned. Your community will bloom. And your spirit will RISE while you let are out, and let love it.

Now is the time, friends! Class starts in 7 days. This is the only time I'm launching this class this year with a tribe of students starting all on the same day. I'd so love it if you joined us.
All the details are right here.
Big love,
Kelly Rae

My Instagram Weekly Round Up – True Art, Dressing Up in Joy, and Spring in Full BLOOM

I'm obsessed with Instagram – it's my favorite online home! Here's a recap from the last two weeks, and for those of you who aren't on Instagram, come and join me! And you can click here to see all the Instagram updates right here on my blog!

Friday March 27

Back to it, the Wear Your Joy Project!

Saturday March 28

We cannot become what we need to be by remaining what we are, said Max DePree. Been thinking about the change of seasons and how their births of renewal, especially Spring, sparks my own renewal of routines. I am feeling particularly ready to gently make some changes, to bloom and grow wild and true in new ways.

House painting verdict? Love love love. All day long, love.

This morning I accidentally pinched his little neck with his helmet buckle. Poor guy, he cried and cried big heavy 4 year old tears. After ice and hugs and "I'm so sorry's", I nonchalantly asked "you forgive me?" He looked at me and gently said, "You don't need to ask that, mama." "I don't?," I asked. "No, because I had already forgave you in my heart.", he said. It was one of those small tender moments I will remember forever. Later over donuts, I asked him what "forgiveness" meant to him. He thought about it for a long pause, and then very surely said, "It means I still love you." Motherhood is not easy. But self love and compassion help, along with all the bliss that arrive in those tiny moments of purity. But still. It's hard. Knowing that this sweet soul still loves me despite the accidental pinches, the likely over protectiveness, the sure to be annoying someday public kisses, the steady stream of honest mistakes, well, it means the world. While I am raising him, I am also raising myself. We are each other's teachers and traveling companions in this lifetime. I am lucky, honored, blessed, loved, and ...... forgiven. emojiemojiemoji

Sunday March 29

Up later than usual. Just finished watching the last available episode of House Of Cards (what did you guys think?) and now I'm reflecting on what has been a super full day. Lots and lots of gardening (succulents!). Lots and lots of cooking healthy foods for the week ahead (I'm learning that old adage about planning to fail if you fail to plan - so true!). And lots of visiting with family and friends at our home. I love it when weekends feel like weekends. Thanks for all the house color love, by the way! The painters are coming back tomorrow to finish the porches and garage and I'm geeking out over how we are going to paint the porch steps and stair risers. I'm also geeking out over the sweet potato brownies I made earlier today and all the flowers and bulbs we planted. My inner domestic goddess is feeling nurtured and happy.emojiemojiemojiemojiemojiemojiemojiemoji

Monday March 30

I spotted these gorgeous wishes (written by others) a couple of weeks ago at the wishing tree. I just found them in my camera roll and had to share. My wish for the week? That it be filled with small blessings and simple abundance, and that I notice and see. What is yours?
http://shop.kellyraeroberts.com/products/hello-love Hello Love print available here!
“Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.” ― William Shakespeare, All's Well That Ends Well Happy Monday, all! My wish for you this week is to say hello to love in all areas of your life. Love is all around, when we seek it. This print available from my shop!

You guys. I think I *need* these for my upcoming 40th. Found in Sundance catalog, and I'm swooning hard. What do you think? I love those little flowers!

This day has been mega full. A typical Monday I suppose. I'm counting these blooms as a gratitude!
Tuesday, March 31

Rough morning. But these are definitely helping bring in some inner sunshine. I heart flowers, all day long.
http://shop.kellyraeroberts.com/products/grow-true-bloom-wild-print Grow True, Bloom Wild available from my shop!
“Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth.” ― Henry David Thoreau, Walden Here is to discovering your truth. Let it bloom, let it grow, let it thrive. This print available from my shop!

Admin day is in full swing over here. Grateful for this beautiful corner in which to get stuff DONE.

Whoa. This is a first for me. I am honored and floored by the sweetness of Kim's story: "I got a memorial tattoo based on one of your beautiful paintings. My mother loved your art so much and I gave her this particular painting several months before she passed away. Thank you for inspiring her and me and so many people."

Hard to go to bed when it's still light outside, but this little guy does it. He's been growing like a weed lately. Wears a solid size 5. There is something about the everydayness about this photo that I adore.
Wednesday April 1

http://shop.kellyraeroberts.com/collections/prints/products/warrior-optimist-print Warrior Optimist available in the shop!
I'm a newish Taylor Swift fan! “To me, Fearless is not the absence of fear. It's not being completely unafraid. To me, Fearless is having fears. Fearless is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, Fearless is living in spite of those things that scare you to death.” ― Taylor Swift YES YES YES. Living in spite of the things that scare you. Yes. This painting available from my shop

One of the last things we did to bring this guest/office/sitting/family craft room together was to put up an industrial paper roller on the wall. I originally saw the idea on Pinterest and fell in love. A quick search on Amazon for a roller and voila, it's up and making a statement. True especially loves it (hard to see in this photo but he drew a pretty rad huge self portrait on it). I think this will be perfect for leaving love notes for our guests. A photo tour of this room and all the others coming up on the blog soon!

I was in one of those bathrooms today where all the walls are graffiti'd up with a maze of hardcore images and words. I took a minute to take it all in and search for something, I dunno, softer. And wouldn't you know this is what I found staring back at me. Gosh. I love how the universe works. And it's true, it's never to late. Take it from a possibilitarian who knows.

Thursday April 2

This might be my new favorite painting of True's. Gah.

Today was a weird day. Actually, this has been a weird week. Someone said it has to do with the blood moon coming this week? It hasn't been bad weird, just odd weird, a little tilted. Or something. Regardless, today I fought my reluctance to put on sweats and instead I got dressed up in joy!

 Friday April 3

This self portrait True made is killing me with giggles. All I see is happy. And crazy. And silly. And omg, I love him so much.

That's it for this week! Check back here next week for another update, or join us over on Instagram for daily photos and thoughts!

Kelly Rae

We're on the LESS than two week countdown to my painting ecourse! My heart is about ready to burst!

You can learn all the details on exactly what the course is about, how long it is, etc. right here, but the most important thing I can say about this course is this: this is not just a painting/how-to e-course. Yes, we'll learn a million how-to's when it comes to painting. Yes, the student work (actual paintings) coming out of this course are stunning. But there is as much a personal growth/soul work component to this class as there is a painting component. And this alignment of the two, well, it's been total magic for all involved. And don't get me started about the community and the connections that form between students ---> Life. Changing.

Because it's true: when we let art out, we let love in.
Class starts Monday, April 13th! Come join us for the adventure!

Two week countdown. Pinch me!

Friends, we're on the two week countdown to my e-course starting, and my heart is just about ready to explode! It feels amazing to be on the verge of doing it all over again, and I'm thrilled at the level of anticipation and excitement that is building from students all over the world. My heart is excited, too.

I thought I'd share the blooper reel from when we filmed the e-course. Honestly, it just might be the funniest thing I've seen of myself, ever. If you're in need of a giggle yourself, watch and giggle. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

image
Speaking of filming, this was our "set" - super fun.  It was so fun seeing my old studio transform into a little production studio. So much heart and love and good ol' fashion hard work went into the entire thing. A total team effort. And totally worth it.

Let art out. Let love in!
Wanna unleash your joy and learn how to make super fun, gorgeously layered backgrounds - gobs of them?
Yes, yes? Love, love?

Wanna turn those gorgeous backgrounds into gorgeous mantra paintings that speak directly to the call of your heart?
Wanna be a part of an amazing community of seekers, explorers, open hearted souls?
Come join us, friends.  All levels welcomes (I encourage you guys to do this course with your kids!)

Class starts April 13th.
Early bird registration discount ends April 3rd. Use code EARLYBIRD20 at checkout!

Taking Flight

http://shop.kellyraeroberts.com/collections/prints/products/taking-flight-2
New art – available here!
She took flight into a life filled with peace, grace, joy, and light. This is a newish piece for me and also my wish for all of us, wherever we may be. There is always room for expansion, for light, and for wings. Always, wings.

"The real voyage of discovery is not in seeking new places, but in seeing with new eyes." - Marcel Proust
I've been thinking about my own various flights lately. I think of them as seasons, really.  A few years ago (has it already been 8 years?), I took flight into a season of possibility, learning to paint and become a full time artist. This particular flight has been long, high, weathered with so many learning curves, but also exhilarating, like any first flight.  Since then, and since all the other flights - becoming a mom, growing in my marriage, growing as a woman - I've discovered how some seasons and flights are not about flying at all, but rather about growing our wings on the ground while being still, discovering within ourselves that we are already capable, graceful, joyful, light, and free.

This has been a great lesson for me. That flying is not necessarily about where I'm heading, or if I'm heading anywhere, but how I see where I am now. How I see myself. How I see the importance of being grounded by grace. How I'm cultivating and nurturing my wings, my freedom of spirit. I am more at peace than I have ever been. I am so thankful for it, so grateful for the teachings and the lessons - both in the air and on the ground.

XO

My Instagram Weekly Round-Up – Studio Time, Quick Trip to Cali, and Nesting Nesting Nesting

Tuesday March 17

You are only confined by the walls you build yourself. I've been thinking so much lately about all the ways we don't allow ourselves to simply take up more space. To speak and share our own wisdom. To ask for what we need. To say no. To say yes! Because we don't want to take up too much space. To share our story. To set firm boundaries. To take our time. To change our mind! Because we don't want to take up too much space. To lean and depend on people. To get angry. To be joyful. To unleash the depths and rivers of who we are. Because we don't want to take up too much space. I am finding lately that these walls of confinement want to come down. I want more space. I deserve more space. And my spirit requires it if it's gonna expand. And expansion is most definitely the spiritual goal. Here's to taking all the space we need.

Wednesday March 18

Spending the day today with Tiffany Kirchner photographing new products, my studio and more. Love her. Love my job.

Sneek peak of our new mini journals. Love these.

It's been a super full couple of days. I'm currently taking a quick rest before heading out again. Life is good and full.

Thursday March 19

One our trees is in full bloom right now. Makes me so happy. I didn't realize how much joy I would get from watching the trees and landscaping bloom at this new house as the months roll on. Love it.

http://shop.kellyraeroberts.com/products/dear-world Dear World print available here
Dear world, thank you for your smallest of moments that bring the greatest of beauty. Thank you for the stars, the light, and your soulful hearts that make living worth all the love you hold.

Totally love our new mailbox. I've been keeping an eye out for one as our old one looked exactly like a feminine product trashcan that you would find in a public bathroom stall (the worst!). This one came from @GrandinRoad and we adore the personality it adds to the porch. Who knew? Hoping it will manifest some good mail days. ps: our home is being painted next week! Bah bye cream. Hello blue/green!

Friday March 20

The new mailbox totally manifested an awesome mail day. Ha! Excited to dive into these beauties....

These two. I continue to be so grateful that we are able to have John be a stay at home papa. It suits our little family perfectly. They are quite a pair these two. Both tender, athletic, creative, calm, loving, and musically inclined. John has taught me so much about the value of play, spontaneity, soulful living, and not sweating the small stuff. And I can see how these core traits are becoming a part of True, too. As a mother and partner, it's so cool to watch the unfolding and just how much this little boy admires, looks up to, and loves his papa.
Working on pulling this guest room together. This was my old office at home. The green velvet couch turns into a bed! (From urban outfitters). The desk is True's and he'll use this room as a craft room as well (coffee table = project space). Loving how this is coming together. I still have several finishing touches but it coming together!Saturday March 21

I've been doing some serious nesting on the weekends, pulling together the rooms that have been calling to me since we moved in. This is the other side of the new guest room that has the green velvet couch. I added more xo's to the wall, more plants, a corner wall nook and I think this room is *almost* done. I totally love the love wall. I've been wanting to do this forever and I think it's perfect for a guest room.
Sunday March 22

Another weekend home nesting project! This nook at the top of our stairs has been vacant since we moved in a year ago. It has a lovely built-in bench but we never use it. I've been planning on removing the built-in bench and replacing it with a huge hutch, but haven't been able to find a good large hutch this last year. But then yesterday my mom and older sister were over and they put this little area together using stuff we already had. The result? LOVE! It's like a DIY linen closet that holds our favorite textiles and quilts. I cannot tell you guys the joy I'm getting out of pulling the last of our home spaces together! Next up: our large hallway upstairs and our family Spirit room that we will use for quiet time, contemplation, meditation, yoga, and reading.

Closer look. Sort of love the whimsy of the cabinet and floor lamp on top of the bench.

I am so delighted by how often this is happening.

Monday March 23

Hello Monday. On the list today: quick spontaneous trip to CA, family fun with my boys, a most certain trip to a pool, a skatepark, and anything else they want to do. I'm all theirs and they're all mine for a couple of days.

PDX Airport carpet!

Love. Found. Seen. Discovered.
Gorgeous, relaxing day here in CA with my little family. With every single beat, I am grateful.Wednesday March 25

Nurture Your Heart wings available from the online retailer Garden Gallery here!
Just got this gorgeous photo of our new metal wings. Love these! I have many new products to share with you guys. Stay tuned. In the meantime, a full day here in CA is waiting! Xxo emoji by @tiffanykirchner

Gorgeous here. A really sweet family adventure.

I'm a HUGE fan of pink cotton candy. Anyone else?

Thursday March 26

My college dorm. 1993. Barely 18 yrs old, huge glasses, and dyed dark hair. Had an odd obsession with The Little Mermaid, Winnie, sunflowers, and matching curtains with bedspreads. These were the days. Loved every second.

Eeeek! Arrived home to the house painters getting started. The bottom cream color is the old color. The blue is the new body color (Benjamin moore Azores) and the tippy tip top is a green (hard to tell in this sunny photo) called Urban Nature, also by benji moore. So far, I'm loving the decision we made to have two coordinating colors for the main body. You can't see it in this photo but the main trim is a white/creamy color with the window inset colors being a rich, dark brown.

Friday March 27

Working on a little something that I'm so excited to announce soon. Also, it's good to be home ;).

Excited to dive back into work after a little time off. I missed this space! emoji by @tiffanykirchner

It's here! And it's only happening ONCE this year!

You guys! Registration is currently open for my upcoming painting e-course, Hello Soul, Hello Mixed Media Mantras, and class starts Monday, April 13th. This will be the only time this year the doors will open to a group of students on the same day. I’d love to have you join us (hello, tribe)! Keep reading for all the details, including how to register.

I adore this course. I launched it for the first time last year and my heart nearly exploded by the response, the community that formed, the artwork that my students produced, and all the joyful soul work that we did together.
“The moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.” – Goethe
I believe in possibility, in serendipity, in providence. If your heart is whispering that now might be the time, I'd love if you joined me for what has been a beautiful, meaningful experience for so many (including me). If you haven’t already, you gotta check out what previous students have said about our experience together.

About 8 years ago, I was tired. Unfulfilled. Feeling stuck in a life that no longer fit.
For reasons I still can’t explain, I felt called to put paint on a canvas.
I’d never painted before, and had no training or experience.
But I followed the call.
And followed.
And followed.
And followed.
That one paint-splattered night sent my life spinning in a new & beautiful direction.
My joy was awakened, and a universe of love and lessons and light rushed into my life. The same is possible for anyone wanting to awaken their creativity with this ecourse.
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned on this creative path these last many years is this: When we let art out, we let love in.

My vision and mission for this course was in direct service to that truth: when we let art out, we let love in.
And so. If I'm being really honest, I am not just excited for the painting fun that we'll have in class, but more importantly about how lives will be transformed when we dive deeper into all the ways painting is so much more than splattering paint on a canvas – that it’s a much deeper journey, an excavation of who we are and who we want to become. If you join us,  I can’t wait to see what personal truths unfold for you along the way.

That's why I'm calling it Hello SOUL, Hello Mantras :)

Come join us, friends. We'll not only make gorgeous paintings that speak to the call of YOUR heart, but we'll create a tribe and community that will surely change everything. It's gonna be amazing.

Class starts April 13th.

Tuesday March 10

Keeps happening.

Wednesday March 11

Today. Slept in (ahhhh). Later, a biz meeting, a little work, then picking up @andreascher from the airport (we're having a little writing retreat for just the two of us these next couple of days). Excited to see what unfolds and for the girl time.

Thursday March 12

Okay friends, I need your help! We are going to paint our cream house a color! I'm looking for a green or teal. Not super bright. But not totally standard either. Do you have a favorite house color name recommendation? If so, speak up! I have one week to find the one! In the meantime, I will continue to stalk #pdx houses.

@andreascher captured me amongst the camellias. So far today we've been to Fresh Pot and R+R for a little cafe working, and then to Blossoming Lotus for lunch. Yesterday we went shopping on Alberta. Loving feeling like a tourist in my city.

@andreascher and I took True to the wishing tree! What a lovely, lovely thing to exist. We loved it. Portlanders, it's on NE 7th and Morris.

You MUST be getting annoyed with these number posts, but YOU GUYS. I am loving how much this is happening, and three times in three hours today? I'm gonna call it the long straight of short straits. So good. Also, for those of you who are seeing numbers too, Google "angel numbers" for lots of interesting meanings and musings.Saturday March 14

Love love and all things love. Happy weekend, friends.

@andreascher and I fully geeked out at all the beauty at one of my favorite portland gift shops @inkandpeat. I could live in these flowers. Sunday March 15

Today John and I finished hanging art in the studio. Really truly loving how these finishing touches complete the space.
Monday March 16

My mantra today on this Monday where all sorts of little plans and details (that feel big) are unraveling and falling apart. Days like these are potent teachers.

That's it for this week! Check back here next week for another update, or join us over on Instagram for daily photos and thoughts!

XO,
Kelly Rae

My Weekly Instagram Round-Up – Sunny Skies, No Worries, and Heart-Centered Art

I'm obsessed with Instagram – it's my favorite online home! Here's a recap from the last two weeks, and for those of you who aren't on Instagram, come and join me! And you can click here to see all the Instagram updates right here on my blog!

Friday February 27

Every morning, my ritual of black loose tea with sugar, and milk. It's hard to start my day without. Been in this pattern since 15 years old. Do you have any long held morning rituals? I love how tea and coffee can become ceremonious in their prep.

http://shop.kellyraeroberts.com/products/dear-soul This print available here!
Had a bit of a rough morning over here. A tad overwhelm, a pinch of self-pity, a sprinkle of frustration at myself. Ahhh, the ebbs and flows of being human. I believe we are are far too hard on ourselves. Last year I learned how awakening begins with self-love. It's a daily (hard) practice to replace the gremlins with self compassion, gentle acceptance, and nurturing patience with our own hearts. But the truth is this: we are each dear, dear, beloved souls here on this remarkable journey. And we are doing a good job. Of being kind. Of seeking our highest selves. Of learning. Healing. And being free. Let's remember to be kind with ourselves. It's a huge part of healing, evolving, and awakening. This piece is from 2013 and it reached out to me this morning with its reminder.

Current scene in my studio. My girl @lynzeelynx came for an art date. And if you look closely, there's some hula hooping happening in the background (hi @freewitchnoguilt). This is day got better.

Wore my tunic that was handmade in Bali from my trip in 2013 today. Good memories, worn with joy today. For those of you who have been following along in my getting dressed up in joy and The Wear Your Joy Project this last year or so, I'm so excited to announce the ecourse/30 day practice coming soon. Sign ups will start next week and I'm thrilled to help bring this community together for this practice. It's so much deeper, bigger, more than about our clothes. It's about reclaiming our joy, who we are, and making our hearts visible. I hope you'll join me in the 30 day practice. Details next week!!!

A good, beautiful, messy day.

Saturday February 28

I now have a full-in addiction to these little guys. And it doesn't help having them a short walk from my house. Portlanders, if you haven't been to @pipsoriginal, you gotta try it out. Amazing bite sized donuts, local vibes, and a business built on SOUL.

 Sunday March 1

You guys. I put my DIY lamp in a pot and I sort of love it just like this. Today, I'm working on our guest room and bath that has either been a storage room or a makeshift KRR office for about a year since we moved in. Super excited to have it come together. Who wants to come visit?

Really good day. Weekend are feeling really weekendy lately: easy and fun house projects, lots of chill family time, and now that House Of Cards has started, binging on Kevin Spacey (are you guys watching?). Tomorrow I've got a big, fun announcement. Stay tuned!!! Xxo and gooooood night.

Monday March 2

The beginnings of a emojiemoji️wall I started this weekend in our guest room. I am loving how this is unfolding. Here's to lots of emoji️ this week. Happy Monday!

Dear @westelm, I have not always been a fan, but lately I'm so digging your offerings, especially this adorably quirky piece. Keep it up! emojiemoji
   Tuesday March 3

Happy Tuesday, friends. I made a little collage arrangement out of my mini manifesto wooden blocks for the studio coffee table and I adore seeing these truths in the daily. On the list today: strategy meeting with Nichole, working out the quirks of our new ShipStation for printing our mailing labels (bye bye PayPal multi-ship), and making a sweet potato Fritata. I'm all about Fritatas lately! Xxo

Adore this piece my older sister made for me years ago. Such a good reminder.

You guys. I'm really trying (and loving) to cook when in fact I rarely do it. Today I tried a sweet potato Frittata recipe. And although it doesn't look altogether delicious, it IS, and it took like 20 minutes to make. Thank you @blissholistichealth for the recipe (eggs, sliced sweet pot, onion, cheddar cheese, thyme, oregano, salt, pepper).

We collect our heart rocks and then we give them away. This is our current collection and I love how True likes the hunt, too. @ninabagley inspired me to collect hearts about 9 years ago and I've been doing it ever since.
  Wednesday March 4

They have said it's the warmest winter on record here in PDX and I'm certain it must be the sunniest too. Waking up to the sun so much this year is glorious! Lately, I walk from room to room in the mornings with my cup of tea and just take in the light with a small prayer of gratitude for the sunshine and for this house. We moved in a year ago this month and everyday I am thankful for the journey that brought us here.

Friends, how sweet is this scene from @lynnaep? Those cats are the cutest! Totally loving seeing how you guys are displaying my products in your homes and shops!

Tree pose in a tree. His love of yoga and anything physical continues to shine. Still playing music. Still 100% silly, imaginative. He's been drawing the most adorable snowmen and yesterday a long skinny weiner cat. Recently while watching some of his baby videos together he said, "mama, I really like the way you laugh." He notices stuff like that. Totally inspires me.
  Thursday March 5

This happened! Look for the first episode in the coming days of The Possibilitarian Podcast where my Community Care & Engagement Mgr Nichole and I have conversations about bravery, tenderness and achievement. This first episode shares the very beginning of my story when I began to listen to the nudges of becoming an artist. The fear! The opposite of confidence. The doing it anyway. Stay tuned! Also, Nichole (@freewitchnoguilt) has her own podcast called Happy, Joyous, and Freaking Out. Check it out in her profile.

The light on the studio floor looks like a window. Also, wearing my red ruby wedding shoes today. And tights. It's been forever since I wore them and I adore this mustard color. Also, it's sunny and 67 in portland today.

http://shop.kellyraeroberts.com/products/holy-mess This print available here!
Yes, yes. The real living - the mundane and awakenings - happen in the messes. And the mess is every single day, no? The rushing out the door so we're not late, the beautiful, but tender exchanges during hard conversations, the parenting moments when we could have done better, our less than perfect offerings as friends, teachers, healers, and more. Life is messy. And the mess is holy, beautiful, and ripe with meaning. Here's to embracing the wholeness of it all. XO, Kelly Rae ps: I had so much fun painting this latest piece.

Cherry trees are in bloom. Sun is out. Weather is warm. Grateful Friday is looking up to be a cozy, busy day.

Friday March 6

On the list today: meeting with accountants, lunch with new friends, art date with an old friend, and admin work squeezed in the nook and crannies of the day. Got dressed up in joy for the fullness. Slip dress under a tunic I bought from my favorite local boutique years ago (@tumbleweedboutique) under a cropped cardigan. Throw on some skinny jeans and red boots and call it done.

Not everyday is rainbows and unicorns. But today? It really was. ps: Art by True

I cannot believe how spoiled we are this year in the Pacific Northwest. The sun, the sun, the sun!!!!

Yep, they still make these style of skates.

Sunday March 8

Sunday. On the agenda: brunch with the amazing @jenlouden, another friend's birthday celebration this evening, thinking (and honoring) International Women's Day, and worshipping the uncanny, continued sun in PDX. But right now? I have the house all to myself for a couple more hours, and so I'm gonna plop myself in this here dining room and write my heart out on a certain something project I'm excited about. Stay tuned!

Beautiful day. Even managed to sneak in a nap this afternoon and meet some new friends this evening. I can feel my local community/friendships opening up and that feels so good. Such good people in the world and here in PDX. Inspired by them all. Also, the angels have been sending lots of signs lately. Today is was 11:11 and hearing the story (Buddhist story?) of burning down the barn in order to see the moon TWICE within two hours today. Have you heard it? It was new and powerful for me.

Painted I believe in 2007. An oldie but goodie. Happy Monday, friends.

One of my truths and one of my favorite photographs ever. Here's to love, always. Framed photo by my friend @hulaseventy.
