My debut novel 1st Birthday
Today it was my debut novel
All That the Heart Desires
1st birthday.
But due to an extra busy life - for the past decade to be honest - it totally slipped my mind. If Michele, one of my good friends wouldn't have tagged me in a Facebook post yesterday letting me know what's going on - I'd have missed it completely.
I know, I know... it's almost like I'd missed one of my children's birthday.
So in a way of apologising for not giving it a proper birthday party, I'm letting you know I'm going to drop the price and give it for FREE .
You will be able to download it from Amazon, for three days - it's a belated birthday present from me to you .
All you need to do is - watch this space; in short time I'll let you know - I just need to get the confirmations of the dates.

Blurb ~ WIP No. III ~ At the End of the Summer
And here we are... Wait. No. Wrong.
And so, here I am...
My novel no. 3 ~ At the End of the Summer ~ is finished.
The countless number of MY edits ~ Checked and done. Two professional edits ~ Checked and done.Professional proofread ~ Checked and done.Read through one more time ~ Checked and done.
Blurb written? Yes. Number 1, #2, #3...etc... #7 and #8 and #9.
I wrote different variations of the same story.
This is the last one - Blurb ~ Attempt No 9:
Caroline treats love as a game. She stopped believing when her family fell apart. At twenty-eight she focuses on her career as a freelance photographer and lets nothing stand in her way.Guitarist and songwriter Joshua is the heart and soul of his rock band The Burning Ruins. To the outside world, his life is perfection. Except that Joshua has a secret and he keeps his emotions under wraps. When they meet, their worlds are badly shaken. In a summer that takes them from London to Wales and over Europe to the heat of Rome they are desperately trying to regain control, knowing nothing is going to be the same again. Will the collision mend their badly cracked hearts or will it shred them to pieces?
So, what do you think? Interesting enough to make you grab your own copy and read it?

Two Gold Bookworm Reviews
It happens that here and there something goes wrong, perhaps not even so terribly, just enough that it made me feel down, inadequate. Well, one of those days was last Friday.
Yes, Friday.
The day that I hardly wait for every week. The day I should be happy about when it arrives. The day I know after 3 pm, my weekend starts and I will be able to do what I'd like to do - well, mostly.
But no... it was a crappy day from the start. Somehow I managed to live through most of it, without people even noticing I had a crappy day. I tried so hard to lift my mood, but it looked impossible.
Coming home helped a little. I have two children, you probably know about them and at least my family helped me improve my mood. A little.
And then it happened. A signal from my phone informed me that I received an email on my author's email address. This not that common so I picked it up and looked. I was tagged in a FB post. I wondered what had happened so I checked what it was.
I started to smile when I saw that my novel
got the Golden Bookworm review on Readers Review Room.
Here is just a little bit what is written in the Review:
"...Caught Between Two Worlds is a page turner. I liked not knowing what was going on until Veronica did. The description of Egypt, the customs, and language was vivid. It made you feel like you were there..." - Kasey Hamlin
And then I scrolled down and... saw that my novel didn't receive ONLY one, but got TWO Gold Bookworms reviews - on the SAME day.
The second review starts with:
"The main thing I found wrong with this book is that I could not put it down..." - Lucy Bohanon
Now, who wouldn't feel better and start smiling? Have I mentioned that it got Chill with a Book READERS’ Award too?

2017 RONE Awards Nominee
Last week I received an exciting email letting me know that I'm an award nominee in the
2017 RONE Awards
run by InD'tale Magazine!
My debut novel, ALL THAT THE HEART DESIRES has made it into the first round in category RONE Cops, Jocks and Cowboys nominees.
As this is the first magazine nomination for my book, you can imagine I'm thrilled. So much so that I forgot to write a blog post about it. But I'm righting the wrong.
What's important for you to know is, I'm going to need your help. The first round is a public vote so be prepared to hear from me quite a lot in following weeks.
The voting for the category RONE Cops, Jocks and Cowboys in which All That the Heart Desires is nominated in
starts on May 15th and ends on May 21st.
Unfortunately you won't be able to vote for my novel before or after those dates, but you're welcome to check the other categories and vote for other novels.
The number of overal finalists in each category is based on the number of books qualifying in that genre. They guarantee this ensures the highest level of fairness possible for each book. That means there will be 6 finalists in the RONE Cops, Jocks and Cowboys. Since the category has more than 25 nominees, two votes per user are allowed.
There is just one itsy-bitsy thing you need to do, before voting. You have to be a registered subscriber of the InD'tale Magazine website. It's their insurance to maintain honesty and fairness in the voting process. Registering is completely FREE and does not require any commintments whatsoever. You can do this by clicking here: InD'tale - create new account.
There is also a note for new subscribers: you have to verify your account before you can log in and vote.
So, bear with me this week and four more after that - as I'm going to remind you about the voting a lot.

London's calling
It's been a while since my last blog post. To be honest I haven't even noticed that a month has passed by. In this time my blog - this one of course - celebrated its 2nd birthday... yay!!! Didn't noticed until a notification came from FB. O.M.G! Really!Spring is here - double yay! Finally temperatures reached over 20°C. Hopefully they will stay this way for some time.
Well, life is a bit hectic at the moment. Getting back my WIP for the second time from my editor, writing final corrections, accepting (or not) her suggestions, writing killing blurb, not to mention synopsis... that takes time and - let's be honest - a fair amount of concentration.
But of course I cannot blame complete lack of time only on my writing. You know... real life can be truly demanding.
However, the weekend me and my OH have been waiting for is finally coming... As on Saturday my OH has his (ahem...) birthday, my present for him is a trip to...Ta-Dah!
Yes, sure... we have been to the UK a couple of times before; but almost never alone and then we hadn't really seen around London. All the other times, we were in UK because of our son's therapy and RDI therapist or we went on vacations (combined with our son's therapy evaluation). Nothing new for us. Basically normality for our life.
So, on Friday morning (double bonus - I'm off work on Friday and on Monday next week - tripple yay!) we are flying to the UK, then we are spending three nights in the Premier Inn London King's Cross Hotel and on Monday...
p.s. As this blog post was written a day before yesterday, I'm letting you know - yes, tomorrow we are still going. No matter what. #WeAreNotAfraid
