And here is a treat for you:
Excerpt Brianna Mills grasped the curious pendant around her neck. Like before, when she’d first touched it, the violet jewel warmed, and her peripheral vision shrank back. Her steps faltered. With somehow more focused vision, she watched the man coming towards her along the tree-lined track. Jasper stopped rummaging in the undergrowth, sniffed the air, and wagged his tail. But despite her dog’s interest, she sensed something…odd. It wasn’t just the disconcerting vision or the static electricity surrounding her. Or even the disappointment as she pondered over the outcome of her adoption meeting earlier. No, this was something else, something tangible. Electromagnetic energy rolled over her skin, made her scalp tingle. A strange, coppery scent circulated in the cool spring air. Blood pulsated in her ears, muffling the sound of birds chirping in the trees. She came to a standstill, all five senses fizzing with an unseen force, her heartbeat pounding like tribal drums. Still six metres ahead, the guy looked tall, well-built with broad shoulders, and casually dressed in a faded brown leather jacket and dark blue jeans, worn at the knees. Overlong blond hair rested on his shoulders, and messy waves fell either side of a tanned, ruggedly handsome face. Drop. Dead. Bloody. Gorgeous. A tiny spark ignited somewhere within and she forgot how to breathe. Bree recognised him. But he wasn’t anyone she’d ever met before, not while she was awake. No, this was someone whom she used to dream of when she was a child. It didn’t make sense. How could she have dreamt about him, what, fifteen or so years ago? The spark became a small flame, breathing its warmth on parts of her that she’d forgotten existed. Her cheeks heated. She had so little experience with men. No wonder she’d fallen for the first guy to show her any interest and been naïve enough to get herself pregnant. Jasper barked, which made her jump, and then raced towards the guy, wagging his tail and leaping around excitedly, greeting him like some long-lost friend. “Jasper! Get back here. Right now.” Trying to focus through the tunnel vision, she willed her feet to walk the remaining distance to retrieve her dog. Get a grip, Bree, get a grip. Keeping her head down, she wished she hadn’t tied her hair in a loose bun, so she could have hidden her embarrassment behind the long tresses. “Sorry. Jasper doesn’t normally like strangers.” She gulped. Her words were breathless and pathetic, and she cursed under her breath. Is he a stranger though? With shaky hands and distorted vision, she grabbed her Labrador and fumbled with the lead, desperate to get the damn thing to clip on to Jasper’s collar. “Are you wearing blue contact lenses?” he asked in a deep, hypnotic, and strangely familiar voice. Bree blinked rapidly and her vision returned to normal. “What…? No.” She wouldn’t look at him, preferring to give her attention to Jasper’s lead, now gripped so tightly her knuckles had turned white. She could almost feel the guy’s stare burning the top of her head. The hairs on the back of her neck stood on end and she backed away—until she noticed his dog. Similar to a pure white Alsatian, but she’d never seen one as massive or as muscular. It stared at her too, with weird violet eyes. Violet eyes like hers.

Book Cover Reveal ~ Eyesight to the blind by Richard F. Holmes

Genre: spiritual/paranormal/self-helpRelease Date: 25/06/18Publisher: Satori PublishingThis is an extraordinary book that tells the story of the author's journey from a place of darkness to one of light. You will experience a roller coaster ride of extreme highs and lows as he takes your hand and leads you on a guided tour into the depths of depression and despair. Whilst there you will feel his pain, you will be impressed by his brutal honesty and you will also laugh… a lot! You will then ascend; out of the darkness and into the love. This is not just another run-of-the-mill book on the paranormal; it is also an essential guide for daily living. Author Richard F Holmes bares his soul as he gives the reader an insight into a medium's work and life on the road, his well over 200 out-of-body experiences and how he has experienced different realms of existence and interacted with discarnate souls. Incredibly, he then explains how it all pales into insignificance as life starts to reveal its true meaning. "As I take the reader through each stage of my journey from childhood to present day, I have tried to write from the perspective of the mind-set and understanding that I had at the time. The idea is that the reader evolves with the writer through mutual experience. Although I have refrained from using bad language, the language I have used reflects who I am; after all, you can take the boy out of North London, but you can never take North London out of the boy". The beauty of this book however, is the central message that the author conveys via his writing. In life you do not have to be a victim. Each and every one of us is powerful beyond our imagination. It is only the thought that we are not that makes us victims. Eyesight To The Blind is an exciting and powerful book that really needs to be read from cover to cover, it combines the paranormal with spirituality, but it is also a practical guide for daily living.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

A Londoner by birth, Richard now lives in the South West of England. He has written 13 books in the spiritual/self-help genre and also produced eight CDs; five of meditation and three of mantra chanting. However, he has removed most of his prior work from circulation as he feels that it no longer represents who he is today. As well as being a writer, Richard works in a hospice. He is also an artist when he gets the inspiration, and worked as a medium for 17 years.
Since the so-called “shift” at the end of 2012, Richard has had what he describes as, “a series of eureka moments”, where life has started to reveal its true meaning. As a result, he saw the futility of continuing his work as a medium and finally gave it up early in 2018.
Richard’s influences are, Ramana Maharshi, Neale Donald Walsch, Eckhart Tolle, Paramahansa Yogananda, Osho and Rupert Spira.

Parcel on my doorstep & a 5 STAR review
Friday was a good day. It was the end of only two working days last week.
Due to Bank Holidays on Tuesday & Wednesday last week, my company decided to close its doors on Monday too. As there was another Bank Holiday prior to the 1st and 2nd May - that is on Friday 27th April - we were home for almost for a week, however this is not something I wanted to share with you.
Coming back, a parcel waited for me. Not exactly on my doorstep, as my OH was home, but on the table in the kitchen.
Yes, of course you know by the label, what I got. Or do you really. Opening it up was something I needed to wait for, as my OH had lunch prepared for us and although my fingers itched to open it, I waited as a good wife.
However seeing those beauties after opening the box I was even more excited.
Sure I needed to put them out and take another picture.
Oh, by the way if I didn't tell you already... My novel At the End of the Summer is available for order as a paperback too, if you prefer paperback over the Kindle.
And then later, when I was checking and wandering through the Amazon, this ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ beauty of a review showed up on Amazon.co.uk.

Trying to avoid potholes
Believe me or not, there are three – looking back now - of the busiest months behind me. Everything collided on my head and – again, believe me or not – it was all my own doing.
I had it planned – most of it. And it was planned perfect, but then… Life doesn’t always play by the rules, right? I should have been used to it, yet I have fallen again, sometimes I can be so naïve. Not seeing all the potholes...

And after I made all the plans for the publication I managed to screw things up almost completely. Instead of marking the publication date for 1st May, 2018, I marked it for 1stApril 2018. When I tried to correct it, I got a ‘friendly’ notice from Amazon, that if I do that, I was about to lose the right for the pre-order for a year. I was, mildly saying – shocked.
With all my apologies to the Pict Publishing ladies, which already scheduled everything, I was advised to approach Amazon directly and explain them my honest mistake.
Due to almost every answer I got from Amazon was negative, I didn’t have my hopes high. But nevertheless, I wrote them a letter and surprisingly, got a very quick reply, letting me know that they understand the mistake I’ve made, however…
… they said that I need to correct the publication date myself and only after this will be done, they are going to be able to give the right for the pre-order status back to me.
PHEW!
I couldn’t believe it.
But they did as they said. I corrected the day, and the day after that, my novel was on pre-order!
So, April came. I worked my last day for the former company and started a new job a week later…
Boy was I in for a surprise…

Excerpt from Darkling, The Lights Went Out and Other Stories. “Unable to take her eyes off the stranger, Emmeline moved from tree to tree until he seemed close enough to touch until finally as if in a dream, she stepped out from behind the cover of the trees to face him, a bird released from a trap with no choice but to fly towards danger. The walker between the trees turned on his heel sensing her, he moved towards the slight figure of the girl in the grey cloak whose wide eyes shone at his approach. The stitching on his waistcoat glinted in the moons light as he neared. Her eyes were drawn to a face of contradictions; ancient yet youthful. His skin was white as the light that the moon poured down. White as bone bleached in the sun. Pale as the ice in the village pond in midwinter. Pale and cold as death.”
