As always I was a bit nervous what kind it would be, and I found out that it's a solid  review, with a nice comment ~CrazyOnBooks:
"This is a warm and entertaining contemporary romance set in a worldwide backdrop that follows the Formula 1 tour schedule......Overall, a nice romantic read suitable for all romance lovers."

Big Shout Out...

...to an amazing tour host JB Johnston and her equally good Brook Cottage Book blog. The past five days she has been organizing and leading an amazing #Book #Cover #RevealTour for my second novel
Pre-Order links: AMAZON.COM AMAZON.UK
JB managed to organize the tour with twelve book bloggers (her own book blog was the thirteenth) who were showing the book cover to the world for the first time. From Monday to Friday, everyday there were an uncountable amount of FB posts, tweets, re-tweets from JB, the book bloggers, their followers and from those who think the book cover is amazing and deserves to be seen also by the rest of the population.
So my "thank you" goes not just to JB and her superb organization, but also to all other twelve book bloggers that were hosting my novel through the week:
Victoria Addams: Victoria's Pages of Romance Nikki Mahood - Inner Ramblings of a ChickLit author... Julie Ryan: All Things BookieMy BookWorm Blogger Pauline Barclay: Chill With a Book Miss Book Eater Jo Lambert: jolambert@brookcottagebooks Rae Reads...  Being Anne... Devika Fernando Melanie Robertson-King: Celtic Connections Tour Organizer: JB Johnston: Brook Cottage Books and last, but not at all least:Ailsa Abraham: The Bingergread Cottage

Reading the proof

My OH read the proof of Caught Between Two Worlds in - 24 hours. Believe it or not. He started one day and he finished it the next. I actually managed to take a photo of him reading and he even didn't notice. I wanted to put on the photo the same day, and just before I did, I told him about it. Well, he wanted me to alter it... basically he demanded to 'cut off' his head.

Don't ask me why... I won't tell you. All I can say is - it's a stupid reason, but hey, that's life. Full of compromises.
So during his reading of the novel, I had heard a lot of sighs - especially if I asked him a question or asked him to do something for me or for the children, or... well, you know how it is. If you are at least a bit like me, every single thing is bothering you while you're reading. I have to confess, I was returning the 'favours'.
After he was finished and he said he enjoyed it; I mean, I knew I saw/heard it - I asked him if he had spotted any grammar mistakes or anything that I and the proof-reader had missed.
OH looked at me and honestly said:"Yes, sure. One or two."I looked at the paperback but there were no sticky notes popping out of it. Of course my next question to him was:"Where?"He looked at the book on the table and then me and innocently said:"You wanted me to mark them?"
Ummmm... YES! That's the point, isn't it!
Of course those two sentences were just formulated in my head and probably they were on display written in a large cloud above my head.
"I can try and find them for you..." OH said after I said nothing.
I just smiled and shook my head. He enjoyed the story. Why should I spoil it for him?
So, instead of confirming the book to the Create Space or at least correcting what needs to be corrected - I'm reading it. I'm already half way through and hopefully I'll manage to finish it on time.
After all, next week the book cover reveal tour starts. It should be on Amazon for preorder too...

The first day of the year...

My Grandmother was a very wise woman. Unfortunately I lost her when I was seven and that's a long time ago, but nevertheless I still miss her and my memories of her are all good.
The one thing I remember very well, were her words: "Be careful what you do on 1st of January. This is what you're going to do throughout the year."
Basically this words are imprinted in my brain.
You can imagine I try to avoid housework on 1st January like a plague. And to be honest, I... - well, let's just say - my Grandmother was right.

We are - quite frankly - not by our own choice - early risers. It doesn't matter when we go to sleep - my son is up - LATEST - at 6:30 am. We can party all night - well, he doesn't care for this and goes to sleep when he's sleepy - someone has to get up with him when he wakes. And usually on 1st of January this is me.
After the rest of the family members get up and the presents are opened and a large mug of the black beans liquid is gone, we are going to visit our parents/grandparents. It's something we do every year as - basically a bit of superstition doesn't hurt - according to OH the first one that comes to visit on a 1st of January, must be a man. A long story, never really understood it myself.
When we are finally home - I'm trying to do everything possible to stay awake. But to be honest - not even the magic black liquid helps. So, OH and I are trying to get some naptime separately, so someone is awake as children are awake.
And then - there are things I want to do. I need to do. And it doesn't matter how tired I am - I do.
I write. I edit.
Because, based on my grandmother's words - this is something I want to do through out of the year!
Hope you did/are doing the things today you want to do the rest of the year...

On the day before New Year's eve

It's the day before New Year's eve and to be honest 2016 wasn't really nice. It looks like it wasn't nice to anyone. But I'm not going to moan. Too much complaining was already done through out the year. Looking back at the twelve months that now passed - actually they passed really quickly, although they seemed to last for just too long.

So nothing bad in this blog post. Instead of writing what went wrong, I'm going to look for the reasons that made me cheerful this year and the memories of them will make me cheerful for many more. The things/events that made me really happy. The things I don't want to forget. Here they are, some most unforgettable:

- My son's progress is seen from day to day. The steps he does might seem small, but they are huge for all of us. They are also constant and that's all that matters.

- My daughter reached the brink of puberty and although she makes me go insane from time to time, I'm proud of her daily.
- I got my publishing rights back in April and I republished my debut novel All That The Heart Desires in June.
- We had such amazing holidays, traveling around Wales. I know I'm still not done with the 'Holidays 2017' blog post series. I left you hanging on in Bangor.
- While traveling I meet my wonderful friend Katie Phillips . We 'met' through Facebook years ago and this was the first time we met face to face and it we just clicked. All of us.
- I did my first book signing...
- In London I met another amazing friend for the first time - Les Moriarty . I still hold this memory close to my heart.

- I finished the third draft of my third novel in English and managed to send it to my editor.

- My family is still whole; no-one is missing...

- Definitely not last and not at all at least - the love, our family have and share, still grows and it's still very strong.

So, I really shouldn't be complaining at all... right?

Proof and a Book Cover Reveal Tour

It's been some time since I told you that my second novel CAUGHT BETWEEN TWO WORLDS is ready to be published.
Yesterday I finally got my proof of the paperback version.

To be honest - it's not nice from me to write - finally. According to the order being placed to Create Space last Wednesday - it was said that the book would arrive today; 28th of December. And that was the reason why I put my work's address as the delivery address. I wanted to get it as soon as possible.

Due to my son's school Christmas party show, I was off work on Friday. So you can imagine my surprise when I came into work yesterday morning that a parcel was waiting for me in my office. Sure, the first thing that I did was to check from where and from whom it was. It was from Create Space and I learned later that the parcel had already been delivered on Friday - in just two days.

I checked it quickly and so did my colleagues at work... but the real proof read is not something I'm scheduled to do. You are never going to guess who is doing it!

My OH.

Yesterday as soon as I texted him a photo of the book, he texted back:
"I'm the first one who is going to read it. Can't wait. Come home now!"

Yeah, if only it would be that simple!
So, today he's home reading and I'm at work - so not fair... :)

You don't know how much I want to show you the beautiful cover that my cover designer Elle J. Rossi from EJR Digital Art did for it. But I can't just yet. Why?

The reason is that I have booked a book cover blog tour by JB Johnston from Brook Cottage Books and it will be done from 9th of January till 13th of January.

So until then... a teaser...  a small part of...

p.s. By the way - I took a photo of him reading - but he doesn't allow me to publish it... what a shame...
