Vote for Storm Born!

I'm about ready to head out for Phoenix and wanted to post a couple of quick reminders. First up, remember to double-check my calendar page to make sure you have the right time for my upcoming signings in Phoenix, California, Portland, and Seattle this week. The errors have now been fixed!

Second, I'm excited to say that Storm Born has been nominated by Bitten By Books to win an award for its birthday bash! This sounds shameless, but if you'd like to help me out so that I can win the honor of...

Rings and things - and tour time corrections

Hey guys--just a couple of quick things. For whatever reason, I keep posting the wrong times on my tour schedule of Phoenix, California, Portland, and Seattle this coming week. I think I've got it all straight now, and I apologize for any confusion. If you plan on coming to see me, PLEASE check my calendar page and make sure the time is still what you thought it was! The correct times are there now. Again, I apologize profusely for any problems this causes. Only a couple places were actually af

Tour Schedule Updates - with a couple new locations

Not to keep driving tour info into the ground, but a few details keep shifting, so I wanted to make sure everyone knows what's up since the Arizona/West Coast dates are fast approaching! You'll notice a couple new spots were added in Tempe and Menlo Park, though those are early on weekdays--which may be more convenient for students than adults. You'll make your own call, I'm sure.

This is the most up to date list, and it's always mirrored on my calendar page. Details about what books to bring, ph

Top News...or should I say, Down Under News

Okay, I couldn't stand to put this news in with the last post about the gross airplane feet because it just seemed like it would sully this cool announcement. This awesomeness has been in the works for a bit, but here it is officially:

I'm going to Australia!

Yup. Along with my American Blood Promise tour, I'll be doing an Australian one. Details at this moment are obviously still very vague, but here's what I know thus far. BP comes out August 25. I'll be touring the US west coast for about a wee

Pitter Patter

I'm home in Seattle now, and after a long week of travel and work, I can't emphasize enough how nice it is to be doing something as calm and simple as eating pizza and watching American Idol with the boyfriend. (Wow, that was all one sentence). In fact, my intent had been to make this a quick post with some tour news (and that's coming--so stay tuned at the end of the post). But I can't in good conscience blog tonight without mentioning a bizarre travel incident today.

I flew back from Orlando wi

The brass knuckles are for a later contest

Today was another leisurely day in Orlando. My fellow travelers, Heather and the Henrys, went off to Animal Kingdom--which I'm kind of jealous of. My bum foot and Thorn Queen proofs kept me at the hotel, alas. I finished the proofs and sent them off via Fedex, which means TQ is officially put to bed! Good times. The foot still hurts but seems to feel better in sneakers than sandals.

When not proofing, I hung out with Caitlin, alternately lounging by the pool (until the wind nearly knocked her ove

Continuing tales of my magical Florida adventure

The Romantic Times Con wound down today, ending with a traditional event: Psychic Sunday. Usually, I'm heading out on Sundays, so I've never been able to attend it. In my imagination, though, Psychic Sunday was always an elaborate extravaganza filled with crystal balls and incense, with tables and Tarot cards everywhere.

The reality was a little different, though. There were only a few workshops and a handful of fortune teller types. It was very quiet, probably because it felt like there were les

RT Report #3: The really big post

Today is my fourth day at RT, and everyone is starting to get this bleary-eyed look. We're all tired and worn out, and I fear I'm getting sick because that's what happens when I go four nights on six hours of sleep. Still, I'm behind on blogging two days of this extravaganza, so I'll risk more sleep-loss and get right to it.

When we last left off, I was actually doing serious things at RT and moderating panels. On Friday, I was doing semi-serious things. A few other authors and I hosted a cocktai

RT Report #2: Earning my keep

Before we get started, I want to remind locals again that I'll be signing here in Orlando tomorrow. You can stop by anytime between 11am and 3pm. The details are over here.

Okay. So, I'm still a day behind, so let me recap Thursday for you. Thursday was a 'working' day. Not that I didn't do a lot of socializing and hanging out, but I'd be doing a disservice if I didn't show how this con does have its serious side and delivers lots of good info. I have the illustrious title of captain of the urban

Quick addendum to the first Orlando report

I keep seeing a question pop up in email and comments about Orlando. I am indeed signing while I'm in town. You can come see me this Saturday, between 11am and 2pm, at the convention's book fair. There's a small fee, but it's open to the public and has lots of authors. I'll be hanging out at a table for 3 hours, so stop by anytime in that range to say hi and get stuffed signed! The details are on my calendar page.

Ok, you may now return to the full report on my first Orlando day (previous post).
