More globe trotting
Following yesterday's highly artistic German covers of Succubus on Top and Shadow Kiss, readers have sent in more foreign editions that have a very different style.
First, I have the Swedish covers of Vampire Academy and Frostbite, sent to me by an unnamed Spanish reader who runs a VA blog. I'd seen these a long time ago and totally forgotten about them. Thanks for reminding me!

It's a good day to be German
Actually, it's a good to be me too. While vanity surfing on Amazon.de, I noticed that I had two new covers up over there. Considering how long it takes translations and foreign editions to come out, finding two at once is quite a treat.
First, Succubus on Top:

And then, Shadow Kiss:

New cover days--domestic or international--are my favorite days. :)

It's all in my hands now
First up, for those who missed yesterday's post, the description for Blood Promise is there.
As for today's business, I started writing Succubus Shadows, which delights me to no end. I love writing Georgina. The editor of that series once said that whenever I sit down to write one of those books, he wanted me to feel total joy and no stress. And that is exactly how I feel. Well, at least until the pain in my hand and wrist kicked in earlier today.

Blood Promise description. I am not even joking.
Okay, it's time to ensure that the #1 question I get in email returns to: "Who's on the covers?" So, here it is: the description for Blood Promise. Before I post this, I cannot emphasize enough how much of a spoiler this is. No joke, you guys. This gives away the ending to Shadow Kiss. If you don't want to to know the ending to that book, DO NOT read the description below. There have been a lot of traumatized people who found out the SK ending accidentally. You probably shouldn't read the commen

Tour Wrap-Up
Today marks the official end of my West Coast tour that kicked off last weekend. As I mentioned in my last post, I got back to Seattle on Friday, but I've been doing local events all weekend. Today I did four school presentations, bringing a close to what's been a really amazing week filled with really amazing people.
But, I'd be remiss if I neglected blogging about the signings on my own home turf. When I got back to Seattle on Friday, I immediately came home and slept for three hours, catching

Portland Report
I'm still behind in recapping tour info, but as I write this, I can report that I'm safely back home in Seattle--and very happy to know I don't have to leave the area for the next few months. I flew back into town on Friday morning, and although I'm home, I'm still technically on tour since Razorbill wanted me to get in some Seattle area signings and school visits.
But that's getting ahead of myself. Let's go back to where we left off, in the Bay Area on Wednesday night. That evening was probably

Back to Bay-sics
Tour fun continues. After having a great time with the SoCal readers on Tuesday night, I got up at 5am to catch a flight the next morning to San Francisco. Yikes. Because I wanted four hours of sleep instead of three, I took a gamble that I'd get early check-in at my SF hotel. So, I simply showered and dressed before heading to the airport--not bothering with any other primping. The risk paid off, and I was able to finish grooming myself when I arrived. Believe me, until I put on makeup and brus

Misadventures in Los Angeles
I was too tired to blog last night, so I'm catching up today. Yesterday was a really great day in the L.A. area, albeit a busy one! I'm a bit surprised at how exhausting it is running around from event to event, even with a full night's sleep. The L.A. area makes it especially interesting because it's just so BIG. My great driver, Frances, logged in 140 miles on her car after all of our stops. Craziness.
My first visit was to a high school, where I was given a wonderful reception by the library s

At least no one asked me to sign a bathroom wall
Quick news before today's tour recap:
1. Your votes came through! Storm Born got to be Bitten By Books' 1000th review! Yay! Thanks to all those who voted.
2. Succubus Heat will indeed be available early at both my Bellevue and Mill Creek signings later this week, supplies limited.
Okay. Day 2 in beautiful Phoenix found me heading off at 7:15am, an extraordinary time to be up and dressed and looking professional. It was especially hard for me because I'd gotten about 5 hours of sleep, thanks to work

I declare today...Phoenix-tastic.
Today finds me in beautiful, sunny Scottsdale, just outside of Phoenix, AZ. Man, quite the weather change from Seattle! I flew in last night on a very quiet, very smooth flight that was conducive to those taking Xanax naps. My hotel is lovely, though it wasn't entirely quiet last night, thanks to some people having a party in the suite across the hall. I have a sneaking suspicion it was a post-prom party. If anybody in Scottsdale knows someone named Ben who left his wallet at the counter while b
