ABOUT AUTHOR:
Author A.C. Greenlee is an award-winning creator of paranormal romance, high fantasy and adventure novels. In 2012, Greenlee’s debut novel, Guardian of the Hellmouth, was released via Lillium Publishing House LLC and quickly became a fan favorite. With a B.F.A in Creative Writing and an M.F.A nearing it’s completion, A.C. is extremely enthusiastic about embarking on the quest of university level graphic design and just hopes she has enough health poultices and med kits to see her through.
AUTHOR INTERVIEW:
First I want to thank A.C Greenlee for doing the interview with me. Read the interview below and found how intriguing she is.
1. What is your writing process? You mean besides drinking copious amounts of coffee that most mortals would overdose on? My main writing process is to get up and write, despite the million or so distractions that crop up to throw me off track. I keep track of everything in a virtual journal that I carry everywhere with me in the form of my iPad but, other than that, it’s nothing special.
2. Who are your largest author influences? That would have to be Sherrilyn Kenyon and Anne Rice. I grew up reading everything I could get my hands on but Rice’s tales of vampires are what first inspired me to pick up writing as a hobby. When I got to middle school I read my first Dark-Hunter novel by Mrs. Kenyon and she changed my entire perspective on Paranormal Romance novels and how supernatural beings are portrayed. She showed me that my shapeshifting bears and dragons didn’t have to be cut from the same mold as everyone else’s and that I could truly put my own spin on them.
3. What is your favorite book? My favorite book is Sex, Lies and Vampires by Katie MacAlister.
4. What is your latest news? Other than the release of What’s Done in the Dark, I’m proud to announce that I’ll be graduating with my Master’s sooner than I originally thought.
5. What are the five things people do not know about you? Starting with the biggest of five, I guess I finally have to admit that I’m the biggest video game nerd you’ll ever meet. I play everything from Call of Duty to Dragon Age, Legend of Zelda and everything in between. I couldn’t live without Korean music and television, I speak the language almost fluently, and I trained and groomed dogs every summer until I was twenty. Finally, I have a stuffed animal collection that would rival most five year olds.
6. What genre do you write? I write a pretty wide range of genre fiction. My favorite, at the moment as this frequently changes, are romance, fantasy and adventure. I love spiraling tales of dashing, sexy as all get out heroes and feisty heroines who aren’t afraid to drop the F-bomb or smack someone over the head with a spiked bat. And I absolutely adore putting a new spin on paranormal characters like Vampires who are less brooding and sparkly and more “bad boy cop with a chip on his shoulder and a profound love of Italian coffee and expensive cars”.
7. What is your most recent book What’s Done in the Dark about? What’s Done in the Dark is an erotic, paranormal anthology featuring eight individual stories, each with their own characters and plot lines. My favorite story from this anthology happens to be Dragon’s Bane which features tattooed bad boy Jackson Casella. He’s the son of the Mafia Don and also happens to be a shapeshifting dragon.
8. How do you come up with characters for What’s Done in the Dark? The characters for this anthology are just like any other character I create. Half the time they show up fully formed and ready to be written, other times I pick a suitable name, traits, strengths and weaknesses and build them from the ground up.
9. What are your favorite characters in What’s Done in the Dark and Why? Jackson, the shapeshifting dragon from Dragon’s Bane has to be my favorite character. He’s a Mafia brat who gets away with a lot more than he should, but he genuinely loves his heroine and would do anything to keep her safe and happy. He’s interesting in the fact that, though he lives lavishly, he’s always been that guy from the wrong side of the tracks. He owns designer clothing and expensive cars but if you took him out for sushi he wouldn’t be able to hold his chopsticks. Another favorite of mine is Dominic Hemlocke from The Demon Butler. There’s so much more to this character that I didn’t get to explore do to time constraints but he’s so enigmatic I just can’t get enough of him. Like Jackson, he adores his heroine, but the two are separated by a lot more than the simple fact that he’s a demon and she’s the daughter of a Presidential candidate. When they’re finally able to consummate their love for one another, it’s explosive.
10. Is there a message behind What’s Done in the Dark? I suppose the message behind this anthology is that wonderful things and experiences often come in dark or misunderstood packages. The men and women in this book come from all walks of life and yet they love their significant others despite their prospective backgrounds.
11. How many books do you read a year? A year? Hundreds if I can! I’m always downloading books to my iPad or kindle and when I’m not writing I’m reading.
12. What is the last book you read? I recently reread Night Play by Sherrilyn Kenyon. It’s one of my favorites.
13. What is the hardest part in writing What’s Done in the Dark? The hardest part had to be keeping up with the word count for each story. I found myself having to cut things short because each of the characters was so interesting I simply couldn’t stop writing about them.
14. What did you enjoy about writing What’s Done in the Dark? I enjoyed getting to experiment with writing different supernatural creatures. Teagan the Tree Spirit and Eriki the Elf are two character types I’ve never tried and I had a world of fun writing them for the first time.
15. How long did it take for you to What’s Done in the Dark? Individually each story took around a month of planning and execution so I would say about eight months in writing time. Sending it back and forth to my editor took a bit longer than expected though.
16. Do you have any children or pets? If so, do they distract you, or assist you with writing? I don’t have any children but I have two dogs, Suri the Pitbull and Stevie the miniature Dachshund, as well as a cat named Princess I recently adopted. Princess was a huge inspiration for the character Valerian from Black Cat Comfort. He’s a shapeshifting cat and just being around her gave me a feel for how he would move and react to things in his cat form.
17. Have you travel for your book, if so where? I haven’t traveled for this particular work yet but I would LOVE to.
18. Do you have a muse? If you do, what do you love the most about him or her? My constant and ongoing muse is a Korean singer by the name of Kim Jaejoong. I adore his singing voice and pretty much everything about him. Actually, I’ve based a character on the man that I can’t wait to debut to the world.
19. What are your next writing projects? With What’s Done in the Dark finished and up for pre-order, I plan on finishing up the editing on my largest work in progress to date, Genesis, and starting on the next book in that series entitled Arise.
20. What are your writing or publishing goals in the future? More books! A lot more are on the way as soon as I turn the coffee pot back on and get back to work.
21. How can fans reach you directly? Fans can always reach me via Facebook message and by simply liking my author’s page at http://www.facebook.com/booksbyacgreenlee. I adore feedback and interacting with people who love my books and characters as much as I do. Or if you ever just need someone to gush over book boyfriends with, I’m your girl!

MY REVIEW ON LAST LIGHT FALLING INTO THE DARKNESS
J.E Plemons is an outstanding author. Last Light Falling into the Darkness is brilliant, and easy to comprehend. Something that is a rarity to find these days. In the beginning, Arena and her twin brother Gabriel make their way across the broken nation. Adversities the twins must face are restless in this apocalyptic world. They make friends, and enemies. There is a few flashbacks of the horrors they preserved through in first book Last Light Falling: The Covenant. Arena and Gabriel struggle to survive within the torn nation. The overall theme “fighting to survive” is widespread in this breakthrough novel. It has everything you want in a Young Adult Dystopian novel. Last Light Falling into the Darkness, is thrilling enough to keep you captivated till the last page. Which leads to third book, yet to be released. You will be begging the author J.E Plemons to release it sooner!
Jay Plemons’ life is nothing short of ordinary. From an aspiring chef, carpenter, educator, musician, husband, and father, nothing ever seems too busy when adding yet another hat into the mix as a fiction novelist. With a degree in music business, and a minor in English from Middle Tennessee State University, the aspirations to continue his journey in the arts, has followed Jay to write the Last Light Falling series, which has not only touched on some of his personal experiences, but has also helped him further explore the heightened convictions of faith. Though his first love is music, writing has profoundly changed the way he expresses himself to others, which has recently impacted his son to follow in those same emotional footsteps. When Jay isn’t drumming, writing is his cure to life’s distractions.
Jay’s only philosophy is to enjoy whatever time you can whenever you can, with whoever you can, because the uncertainties that tomorrow may bring will have a profound impact on how you give your time today. If we could all just stop for a moment and enjoy the little things in life that make the big things worthwhile, our troubles would all seem inconsequential.
AUTHOR INTERVIEW:
First I want to thank J.E Plemons for doing the interview with me. Read the interview below and found how intriguing he is.
1. What is your writing process?
I don’t really have a structured process for writing. My head is continuously filled with stories. I’m a full time daydreamer. I used to outline, but found that that just distracts me from letting the stories unfold naturally. I jot down ideas on paper at the strangest times. I always carry around a pad and pen in my car. If I’m in a store, I pull out the iPhone. But my computer is my best friend when it comes to exploring the meat of the novel. My keyboard is worn from my finger tips and probably doesn’t care that I use him as my crumb disposal.
2. Who are your largest author influences?
C.S. Lewis and Tolkien without a doubt for their courageous unsolicited effort to go against the pretentious grain of the book publishing world during their time. They both have created timeless characters and stories to which have inspired many to follow in there writing footsteps. Robert Lewis Stevenson and Jack London, two of the greatest authors of our time, for their masterful real-life characters and colorful story telling through prose and poetry.
3. What is your favorite book?
To Kill A Mockingbird
4. What is your latest news?
Working on a contract with a couple of movie producers to transfer the Last Light Falling series to the screen.
5. What are the five things people do not know about you?
I’m a professional drummer, certified chef, been an extra in several movies including Dazed and Confused, classically trained musician and carpenter, and a certified English/Literature teacher from 5th-12th grade.
6. What genre do you write?
Mostly thrillers, psychological or dystopian.
7. What is your most recent book Last Light Falling: Into The Darkness about?
This is the second installment of the Last Light Falling series. Faith becomes the only escape from a relentless war about to be waged on American soil, and it’s up to Arena to keep Russia from becoming the deterrent in an international upheaval for power. One man stands between her and a fight for survival while she risks everything to help lead a new fellowship to a permanent safe haven. While her faith wavers during this impossible quest, her sanity begins to slip, which causes her to sink deeper into a dark descent. Though the hope she embraces begins to wither, it’s the difficult decisions she is forced to make that will change the course of everything.
8. How do you come up with characters for Last Light Falling: Into The Darkness?
The main characters, Gabe and Arena, are based on my kid’s personalities, and the experiences these characters live are based on my very own as a child. I like coming up with characters based on real people that I have either read about or have actually met. Makes it so much easier to build and develop.
9. What are your favorite characters in Last Light Falling: Into The Darkness and Why?
Arena for sure. She’s honest, strong willed, stubborn, and makes plenty of mistakes. She’s a very raw character who isn’t perfect, but strives to be kind to others. She’s real.
10. How many books do you read a year?
It all depends on how busy I am with writing and re-reading my own books. This year I have read 3 full novels in my small amount of spare time.
11. What is the last book you read?
Branded (A Sinners Series Book 1)
12. What is the hardest part in writing Last Light Falling: Into The Darkness?
Continuing a story that will flow without having to read the first book. The second book is always the hardest to impress. It’s the second act in a play that contributes to more conflict and less resolve. This is my Empire Strikes Back novel that will leave readers reeling. It was a challenge to keep the characters likable, and still developing. When events tragically change so do characters. I just hope I made that impression quite clearly in this book.
13. What did you enjoy about writing Last Light Falling: Into The Darkness?
Developing Arena’s character beyond storytelling. I enjoyed delivering the imperfections of the human self to the readers and wanted to make them question or at the very least re-evaluate their true selves. I loved giving the characters in this book a roller coaster of emotions, a reflection of what one would feel in such a dreaded time.
14. How long did it take for you to write Last Light Falling: Into The Darkness?
From beginning to end, about a year.
15. Do you have any children or pets? If so, do they distract you, or assist you with writing?
I have two kids, 11, soon to be 12 year old son, and my feisty going on 11 year old daughter. My kids are always giving me ideas. In fact there are two scenes in book II Into The Darkness that came from them almost verbatim. They watch a lot of indie flicks. My son desires to be a film director. My nine year old daughter is writing her first zombie screenplay.
16. What are your next writing projects?
I’m currently working on Last Light Falling – Kingdoms Of The Ten, Book III. I’m about three quarters done. It’s been a long ride with this one, but I’m loving every minute of it. I’ve vested so much into these characters, I will be sad to leave them when the fourth and final book of the series is over. When I type those two words on the last page, I think I just might cry…hey, real men cry.
17. What are your writing or publishing goals in the future?
I try not to look to far in the future. I have been too busy with right now, but I do want to complete the Last Light Falling series by December of 2016. After that, I have a too many psychological thriller ideas to go through, before I can decide which one I want to start.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW:
First I want to thank Teresa for doing the interview with me. Read the interview below and found how intriguing she is.
1. What is your writing process? Usually I come up with many concepts in a short period of time, briefly develop them and write down a short one page (sometimes two) synopsis. From that, I begin writing. Many times a story will unfold as I go along; a process that I love because I become so involved with the characters and their life.
2. Who are your largest author influences? Stephen King, Dean Koontz
3. What is your favorite book? The Shining
4. What is your latest news? “Adventure to Echo Falls” is book one of a ten book series—a series that I have coined “Books for a Cure”. Books for a Cure is about raising awareness about the degenerative brain disease, CJD, and I will be donating 5-10% of proceeds to the CJD Foundation (www.cjdfoundation.org) on a monthly basis. Jet’s adventures will continue with book two, “Watchmen of Echo Falls” – releasing just in time for Halloween!
5. What are the five things people do not know about you? I have four other published books, two of which are published through Ransom, The Questions Within and A Forgotten Tomorrow. I’m a big time animal lover and activist.
6. What genre do you write? Mainly thrillers, dystopian fiction, horror and sci-fi—or a combination.
8. How do you come up with characters for Adventure to Echo Falls ? Actually, I first created the characters as part of an animated series inspired by “The Goonies” and “The Walking Dead”—a comedy I was developing called “30 Echo”. While pitching our animated series “Lemmon Glass” (www.killer-alien.com) I had the bright idea to turn Jet’s (protagonist) adventures into more of a middle school story—and here we are with more than five books written and lots of adventures to come.
9. What are your favorite characters in Adventure to Echo Falls and Why? Jet and his cyberdog, Baxter. Jet is a loveable character—he is a klutz who only wants to make his father proud. He dreams of becoming one of Echo Falls’ Watchmen…a hero. I think a lot of kids will be able to relate to his character and his journey, overcoming obstacles and staying determined, no matter what. The underdog doesn’t necessarily stay the underdog—something I completely relate to.
10. Is there a message behind Adventure to Echo Falls ? See Above
11. How many books do you read a year? Tons.
12. What is the last book you read? Invasion, by Sean Platt and Johnny B. Truant
15. How long did it take for you to write Adventure to Echo Falls? 3-4 weeks. Regardless of what I’m writing, I try to write at least 2k words per day.
16. Do you have any children or pets? If so, do they distract you, or assist you with writing? I have three cats and a dog, and they are the BEST writing companions!
18. Do you have a day job, you would be comfortable sharing? Do you have any good stories about your day job, you would like to share? I’m an independent film producer and screenwriter, who also happens to be a ghostwriter and content marketer for a variety of clients. I used to work in group homes for the developmentally disabled as well as nursing homes—LOTS of inspiration here.
20. What are your next writing projects? I’m working on a few concepts for film, a novel (which will be released under the name Ezra Gray) and getting 30 Echo off the ground!
21. What are your writing or publishing goals in the future? I’m producing my first feature film this year, “One Not Taken” with two of the BEST producing partners, Danny Rhodes and Lisa Cisneros under our company banner Rhodesclosed Productions. Getting this movie made is a MAJOR focus of mine as well as getting the entire series of “30 Echo” released over the course of the next year. I honestly want to raise as much awareness about CJD as possible—a disease that is “one in a million”—through my publishing endeavors.

ABOUT AUTHOR:
When she’s not out hunting rogue vampires and werewolves, you can find her out exploring the galaxy. She can do it all without ever leaving her computer. She kicks ass and takes names, and puts it all down for the enjoyment of her readers. At least that’s what I thought she said. Writing came as a natural outlet for her overly creative mind. Channeling all the chaos into an organized form isn’t always easy, but a little chocolate and wine can go along way toward calming the inner wild child enough to concentrate on one of the hundreds of stories running through her mind. After her family and close friends, her biggest inspiration and favorite people, are her readers who she says are the most wonderful people in this galaxy and the next.
AUTHOR INTERVIEW:
First I want to thank Crystal for doing the interview with me. Read the interview below and found how intriguing she is.
1. What is your writing process? I’m not sure I really have a writing process. When I get inspired, I can sit down and things flow. When I struggle, it is best to do other things and when you are Indie, there are always other things to do. I also usually have more than one WIP, work in progress, going at any one time and a bunch of books that I’ve started that I can pull out and get back to work on if I get stalled on my WIPs.
2. Who are your largest author influences? When I was younger, I read a lot of classics, but these days I find I read a lot of contemporary authors that are popular in the genres I write in. I can and have read every genre but the ones that influence me the most tend to be in paranormal romance and scifi romance.
3. What is your favorite book? There are so many books I have read and enjoyed that’s a hard question to answer. One of my favorite series is New Species by Laurann Dohner. I get those books as soon as they come out.
4. What is your latest news? I’m working on number five in the Planet Amazon series, number two in the White Wolf Matriarchs series, and number two in the Blue Moon Pack series. At least one of those books will be out at the end of the month.
5. What are the five things people do not know about you?
There are a lot of things people don’t know about me and a girl has to have a few secrets.
I read more than I write.
I was born on an army base.
My grandfather was Native American.
I collect pewter figurines, a lot of them are dragons.
I’ve always been fascinated with mystical and magical things.
6. What genre do you write? Paranormal Romance and Science fiction romance for now but I might add more genres in the future
7. What is your most recent book Chief Radvar about? Chief Radvar is a science fiction romance about an aliens who find themselves in a time and place different from their own along with the enemy that they were battling. They discover they are near Earth which is a legend to them that most of them didn’t believe really existed. Since the ship is mostly males, they go to Earth to secure some women so they can have normal lives since they know they can’t get home. Radvar is their leader and the story follows the decisions he makes to find them a new home and his pursuit of the woman he decides to claim as his own.
8. How do you come up with characters for Chief Radvar? I have been gifted with a good imagination. Radvar is really the alpha male but with a gentle side he shows his chosen mate. Most of his males are also alpha/soldier types that have a soft spot for those who are weaker and in need of protection. The women in my books tend to be strong and resilient.
9. What are your favorite characters in Chief Radvar and Why? The two main characters because they develop but they are good people to begin with. They are strong, but they still care about others. They want all the things most people want and they are lucky enough to get it. Radvar is a leader who truly care about his people, a rare trait outside of fiction. Shay is a defender and a protector of her people and leaving them is hard on her but when she sees she has no choice, she’s been sold out by her leaders, she finally embraces what she’s wanted all along.
10. Is there a message behind Chief Radvar? Love conquers all and grab your chance at happiness.
11. How many books do you read a year? The length of books vary a great deal but I read hundreds a year. The larger books are likely to take a day, but the smaller ones I will read more than one.
12. What is the last book you read? Numbers (The latest New Species book)
13. What is the hardest part in writing Chief Radvar? The hardest part of writing Radvar was keeping the flow of the story going. Interruptions and just losing the thread of the story can be frustrating.
14. What did you enjoy about writing Chief Radvar? I always enjoy the final read through when I get to see how the story came together. When I write it, I just see it in bits and pieces, it’s not the same as when you sit down and read the whole thing.
15. How long did it take for you to write Chief Radvar? It generally takes a month once it’s my priority. I usually work on more than one story, but one is usually at the top of the list. That doesn’t include the time after it’s sent to the editor.
16. Do you have any children or pets? If so, do they distract you, or assist you with writing? My children are grown and they are supportive and our dog is an outside dog. He’s big and very energetic.
17. Have you travel for your book, if so where? I didn’t travel for radvar but I have for other books. I’ve gone to Virginia, Texas, and Louisiana. I love to travel and wish I could do more of it.
18. Do you have a day job, you would be comfortable sharing? Do you have any good stories about your day job, you would like to share? I manage rentals and yes, I could tell some stories that would curl your hair, but they are probably better left untold.
19. Do you have a muse? If you do, what do you love the most about him or her? Do chocolate and wine count? I do pull from experiences of the past but I’m not sure you could call that a muse.
20. What are your next writing projects? I write mostly series. I am planning to write an epic novel for the Frozen Origin Series but that may take a while. The Legends of the White Werewolf, which is a free series, will be my December project. I only have one series that is finished and that is the Keepers of the Land series. It has six books and is Paranormal Romance. I will be working on all the other series to add books to them until they are complete.
21. What are your writing or publishing goals in the future? I hope to finish all my series and I may dabble in some other genres that I enjoy reading like regular romance or military (Special Forces) romance maybe even western (cowboy) romance. There are so many possibilities. In the future I hope to get an assistant to help with the non-writing things and spend more time on actually writing.

Date of Publication: May, 2008
AISN: B006Q64BH0
ISBN: 978-0595434305
Publisher: iUniverse
Ebook pages: 110
Book Blurb:
Enduring the pain of her mother’s murder, her father’s rejection, and her grandmother’s rules, Reva rebels against all positive influences. With an abortion behind her by age fifteen, Reva spirals from one bad decision to the next, with no guidelines to distinguish right from wrong. Intentionally getting pregnant to lure the married man she thinks she loves, Reva constantly flounders to provide for the son she finally bears. Stability eludes her at every turn. Despite the pack of despicable characters doing despicable things, this novel focuses on how abuse and neglect affect Reva over and over again.
Her decisions ultimately lead to a juxtaposed life of luxurious living off drug money against the emotional and physical pain her choices create. With her youth stolen, Reva vows to not destroy her future and break the vicious cycle that started in childhood.
Reva’s life mirrors that of many women who fight racism, poverty, incest, single parenthood, and drugs just to survive. As you read “Wages of Sin,” you’ll be horrified by the actions that feel so real, yet be compelled to turn the page to see what happens next.
Available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble
My review:
Wages of Sin by Charlene Gage is a unique book. It keeps the audience captivated by pushing the main character Reva in sticky, and dangerous situations. As a young adult she must learn how to survive on the streets. It is a realistic book that reads like a memoir. Reva is a victim character, and has been duped at every turn. If you are agreeable with racism, poverty, incest, single parents, and drugs. This book is for you.

8th Round by T.C O’Reilly
Genre: Science Fiction
Date of Publication: July, 2015
AISN: B01273FUFW
Ebook pages: 346
Word Count: 89,674
Book Blurb:
A virus has been released on Earth; a virus that no one can cure, quarantine, or prevent. It has ruined humanity, killing the majority of its population and sparing only a limited group of uninfected people. Those that have contracted the disease but not died are far worse off. There’s no way to stop it; no way for seven lifetimes.
Gifted with powers he doesn’t understand but is determined to use, Jakes has experienced life – and lifetimes – for seven rounds. The virus has ripped apart humanity time after time, and Jakes has been forced to watch his world fall apart in each case. This time, his eighth time — his eighth round — he is determined to never let it happen again. And this time he is confident. With the help of experts, family, and unexpected friends, Jakes will strive to finally end this virus before it begins; uncovering his past, his unexplained abilities, and the people who want to kill him for both.
THE 8TH ROUND is an interesting take on both the beloved Sci Fi stories of zombies and time travel. What I liked most about this book were the questions it posed and how it made me think. It takes great care to intertwine philosophy, science, and good old fashioned imagination — analyzing both science and time itself. There were many quality lines within that made me stop and think, analyzing exactly what this story says about time travel and the many paradoxes within.
How the virus is handled is unusual, explained in detail rather than the typical “zombie virus, ooh, unexplained, ooh, scary.” It actually makes a fair amount of sense and I quite enjoyed the reasoning behind it.
I thought the writing style itself could have been fleshed out a bit to show the scenes in greater depth, and I was a little confused on who the characters were at first. However, as the book goes on, it features a wide cast of people with their own motivations, important roles, and interesting reactions.
This book features a romantic subplot with a unique twist that I liked. I was very pleased to see a romantic subplot in a Sci Fi book that was just that – a subplot. I didn’t feel that it overwhelmed the actual story at any point, but remained in the wings to sprinkle a little tension here and there.
The flashbacks back and forth between the previous “rounds” and the current round were very interesting, as it showed not only the exciting elements zombie apocalypse lovers will enjoy, but also raised the stakes as to what the eight round’s world would experience if Jakes failed.
This book intertwined history with the future in subtle ways, and there were many interesting clues to multiple plot twists spread throughout. By reading this, you’ll definitely be experiencing many twists and turns and expected outcomes. There were several points in the plot that took me by surprise and I liked this.
I would recommend this book as a casual read for a fan of Sci Fi.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW:
1. What is your writing process?
Writing to me is currently more of a passtime than a job. I currently run my own business and therefore I don’t get a lot of time during the day to write. I do however try to take some time for myself every now and again. I like to go and sit in a quiet coffeeshop, with a pen and notebook and just focus on my storyline. At night I would sit with my tablet and do some research about whichever topic I am writing about in order to create a more authentic feel for the story that I am busy with. Other than that I have a lot of late nights and strong coffees, especially when I near the end of my book.
2. Who are your largest author influences?
I am a big fan of Stephen King, but I also enjoy, Dean Koontz, John Grisham, and more lately Justin Cronin.
3. What is your favorite book?
The Stand by Stephen King and coming in as a strong contender The Passage by Justin Cronin.
4. What are the five things people do not know about you?
• I own and manage my own property portfolio and guesthouses
• I have 2 lovely children. A 4 year old boy and 3 year old girl.
• I studied law at the University of the Free State.
• I support the Free state Cheetah rugby team and I am a full blooded Springbok supporter.
• My first name means Patriot.
5. What genre do you write?
Horror/suspense/sci-fi
6. What is your most recent book 8th Round about?
The main character Jakes has been sent back in time several rounds in his life. He has no idea why or how it happens. His main focus though is to find a cure for an oncoming plague that will basically wipe out humanity. With his knowledge of the future and a few additional abilities he battles against a group called the company who is facilitating this viral outbreak. He has various friend and family who helps him along the way and even a love interest with many complications that goes along with timetravel.
7. How do you come up with characters?
I don’t really come up with character, they all just sort of evolve and come to life as the story progresses. The names of the characters is actually more difficult than the characters themselves. So what I do is I combine the name and surname of different writers that I already know and like to give the characters new names.
8. What are your favorite characters in 8th Round and Why?
I like Both Danielle and Julia, for they are both very strong female characters and I believe I can even write a tie in story on each of them separately.
9. Is there a message behind 8th Round?
To never give up no matter what the circumstances.
10. How many books do you read a year?
I‘d say at least between 15 to 20
11. What is the last book you read?
I am actually busy with 4 books at the same time right now. One is called wool by Hugh Howey.
12. What is the hardest part in writing 8th Round?
Finding the time to just sit down and write.
13. What did you enjoy about writing 8th Round?
The fact that it every new page was as a surprise to me as it will be to the readers. I will be writing one page and still have no idea what will happen on the next.
14. How long did it take for you to write 8th Round?
Approximately 4 months, but I’m still editing as we speak.
15. Do you have any children or pets? If so, do they distract you, or assist you with writing?
Like I said earlier I have two kids and they actually motivate me to write. I also own two geese, two roosters, two dogs, two cats, and two bunny rabbits. I have a big yard.
16. Have you travel for your book, if so where?
I haven’t traveled for my book specifically, but I have used places that I travelled to in my books.
17. Do you have a muse? If you do, what do you love the most about him or her?
I guess that would be my wife. Basically all my main female leads are somehow connected to her in some way.
18. What are your next writing projects?
I’m busy with a story about a man, who starts seeing images and who is having dreams about people and places he don’t seem to remember. And he tries to figure out where he might know them from. But for now I’m gonna leave it at that.
19. What are your writing or publishing goals in the future?
No specific goals. I just wanna write because I enjoy it.
20. How can fans reach you directly?
They can follow me on my tumblrblog called timetravelepsychic.

Available at Amazon
As a passionate reader and writer, Jade Whitfield loves nothing more than a good cup of coffee and a sweet romance. A fan of ‘Happily Ever After’, she believes that everyone should find their own forever love and is commited to telling stories to inspire that.
AUTHOR INTERVIEW:
First, thank you to Jade Whitfield for letting me interview her on writing experiences, and Forever Love! Read this entertaining interview for more information about Jade Whitfield!
What is your writing process?
Who are your largest author influences? Tamsyn Bester is an amazing author as is Jodi Ellen Malpas, JS Cooper, M Leighton and JJ McAvoy. I could go on forever listing them all out and im sure there are many more but those are the ones I can think of from the top of my head.
What is your favorite book?
I have hundreds and I could never pick just one. What is your latest news?
I am currently writing Forever Together which is Book 2 in The Forever Love Series. Its Brady and Cindy – who appeared in Forever Love’s story.
What genre do you write?
Romance all the way! I’m a sucker for a happy ending and as an avid reader of Romance, writing it just comes naturally.
What is your most recent book Forever Love about?
The story centers around Liv and Noah. Liv is a closed off and traumatized girl and Noah is her sweet former playboy stepbrother. It’s the story of Noah knocking down Liv’s defenses and ultimately them falling in love with each other.
How do you come up with characters?
They just kinda come with the story really. There are certain characteristics that may be based on other people though you’d never get me to admit who.
What are your favorite characters in Forever Love and Why?
I love Liv, shes so strong and yet vulnerable at the same time. Shes such a complex character and she was really interesting to write. I also love Brady who absolutely cracks me up. Writing his book now, hes definitely my favourite!
Is there a message behind Forever Love?
I would hope that people would take especially Livs story and learn from it. Hopefully it helps people who have been through a similar thing and helps them to heal. I would hope that it would give people hope more than anything.
How many books do you read a year?
Hundreds! I love books and at one point this year I was going through ten a week! Its actually a worry that I’ll one day run out of books to read.
What is the last book you read?
Malik by Lisa Helen Gray. Its definitely in my top ten that ive read this year. What is the hardest part in writing Forever Love?
There are certain scenes I had to write that were especially hard and quite daunting. As with reading a book you get very involved in your characters lives and though you don’t want bad things to happen or anything painful to occur, sometimes its central to the story.
What did you enjoy about writing Forever Love?
I loved writing all of the comedy stuff. There are some really funny scenes and I enjoy coming up with them all. Forever Together will have some hilarious scenes as well.
How long did it take for you to write Forever Love?
Months and months. Its been in the pipeline for a long time but it took me a while to get into the groove of things.
Do you have any children or pets? If so, do they distract you, or assist you with writing?
I have a son, Conor, who definitely distracts me though I wouldn’t change it for the world. I do most of my writing when hes asleep or out so it doesn’t affect me that much. I also have a cat, Alfie, who actually has a character based on him.
What are your next writing projects?
Forever Together will be released before the year is out and then the third book in The Forever Love Series will be out after that. I have a new series starting with the first book called The Principessa but im not sure when that will be released yet.
What are your writing or publishing goals in the future?
I definitely want to write a ton of books. Hundreds! I’d love to be a household name with my writing.
How can fans reach you directly?
My facebook page which is Facebook
