My First Gargoyle Fan Art!
Stone the Gargoyle was drawn freehand in pencil on notebook paper. The inspiration for Stone came from this photo:
Shawn, who is ten years old, saw the photo when his mom, Kristyn was looking at the Stone the Gargoyle knitting pattern. He got to work drawing Stone, and once it was done, he asked his mom to send me a picture of it.
Thank you, Shawn! I love it!
Shawn's original artwork is currently displayed on his kitchen refrigerator with both rainbow and...

And an Excerpt Makes Three…
FIRST, thank you to everyone who left a comment on my post about angry reviews and this blog being my happy place. I appreciate that I'm not the only person who likes a No Anger Zone, and it was really sweet of you all to leave such nice comments about the post and my books too.
You have made my blog an extra happy place! Rock on!

This IS my happy place
[image error]Here's the thing. This is my blog. I pay to keep it on the internet. (If you're reading this on Facebook, Livejournal or Goodreads…those are mirrored from my original posts which always begin and will always remain on my blog.)
My blog is my little corner in this big wide internet sky. I post silly knitting pictures, talk about my writing life, put up excerpts from my books, and really do anything else that suits my fancy.
For fun.
You are welcome to come on my blog and leave a comment–as a m...

It's Called "Priorities", duh
Do I have a metric ton of things I should be doing right now? Oh, heck yes. My inbox still isn't under control, I owe blog posts to various wonderful people, have a book to outline (the final Allie Beckstrom!) and write, AND copy edits for MAGIC WITHOUT MERCY (which comes out April 2012) just landed with a thump on my desk.
Am I doing any of those things? No. What am I doing? This:
Oh, yeah! That's right! I knitted myself a finger-mustache! Who has a Halloween costume? This...

Five Secrets
Every book has back stories and false starts and things that never make it onto the page. I'm always fascinated when authors talk about the choices they make while writing their books, and love finding out about things they cut out.
I know a few secret things about the Allie Beckstrom books that I've never told anyone. Until today. 'Cause I'm sharing them.
1. Allie didn't like high school, but she actually had a good time in college…even though she can't remember most of it.
2. Zayvion...

Magic on the Line – Snippet
I had a great weekend catching up on things that have slid by over the last few months while I was working on TIN SWIFT. I even (gasp!) attempted to catch up to emails and mailed out books!
If I owe you a reply to an email, and you don't hear from me in the next day or so, please (please) drop me a line. My spam filter has been overzealous and I think I may have lost an email or two.
And now…to start the week off, it's time for a snippet from MAGIC ON THE LINE!
With Shame. Of course.
Shame...

Magic on the Line Giveaway
MAGIC ON THE LINE will be out on November 1st–just two weeks away!
I am so excited for this book to hit the shelves because it is book 7 of the 9 book series. Why is that exciting? Well, I tend to look at the series as one long story with each book telling a little part of that story. But I also see every three books acting like their own little trilogy. Every three books, a bigger part of that long story is opened up, and we see Allie's world in a whole new light.
For me, MAGIC ON THE...
