Funny Photos on Caturday

It’s time for this week’s outtakes, and not surprisingly, there are quite a few this week! In fact, I had more from the graduation cap session than I’ve used here.
Told you I had a problem keeping this cap on!
Remember those nice photos of me and the peach kitty? They actually started with this photo bomb.
One of my favorite parts of my therapy cat visits is after we’re done and I get treats for posing for photos! You can sense my excitement, and the silliness.
There were several tongue out shots this time, so here’s another one, with a bonus sleeve in upper right hand corner, courtesy of my human.
And here we are, at the end of the outtakes already! That was quick! And fun. Let me know in the comments if you have any favorites.

Fun and Unique Father’s Day Gifts From Etsy

Father’s Day is coming up on June 15! And if you have a cat loving father, or father figure, or just a cool cat guy you’re fond of, I have some gift ideas for you. I tried to pick out some of the more unique and unusual items on Etsy. No socks or neckties here! Or mugs. I hope you enjoy seeing what I found.
Note: We are Etsy affiliates, and if you make a purchase through the links below, we’ll get a small commission. Thanks for your support!
Custom Dad Shirt With Cat Names
Printed sweatshirts are nice, but a personalized embroidered one is classier. The text on the front and the names on the sleeves are all customizable, and you get a wide variety of colors (thread and shirt) and sizes. It’s really a one-of-a-kind gift.
Candle With Cat Skeleton
Here’s a fun candle — at the end of its 15-hour burn life, it reveals a stainless steel cat skeleton! So it has a life long after the wax is gone. Size is 6″x3″x3″.
Engraved Cat Cutting Board
If your guy loves to get chopping in the kitchen, he’ll be amused by this cute and funny cutting board. You get loads of options, from size to type of wood (bamboo or walnut), and it’s personalized. You even get a choice of two cat faces.
Tuxedo Cat Riding Whale Vintage Style Print
Here’s probably the most unusual wall art you’ll ever see: a vintage style print of a tuxedo cat riding a whale. If the man in your life has a tuxie, he’ll love this! It comes in cream or tea stain BFK or photo in sizes from 8″x10″ to 24″x30″.
Skull Cat Shot Glass
If he isn’t into candles, but still into skeletons, how about this 1.5 oz. cat skeleton shot glass? It’s a handmade item from an artist who really takes care with her creations, and not mass produced.
Cat Concrete Desk Lamp
A glowing cat sits atop a concrete block — this stunning lamp is a work of art and will stand out on a desk or at home. It’s 10-1/4″ high with a warm and cozy glow.
Golf Ball Markers for Cat Lovers
Is the man in your life a golfer? I was looking at cat golf balls and then happened on these golf ball markers. These fun stamps are made with UV ink transfers, and you even have a choice of cat breeds.
Catnip Mustache Toy, 2 Pack
And what if the guy in your life has four paws? Get him this two-pack of catnip mustaches! You can choose between five different colors, and at 5″ long, they are a good size for playtime.

I hope you enjoyed my Father’s Day choices! If you have a favorite, let me know in the comments.

Peaceful Portraits With the Peach Kitty

During one of my visits with the peach kitty, my human captured a series of photos of us just hanging out in the doorway of the enclosed patio. You’ve seen one or two of them, but I thought you’d enjoy seeing the sequence of photos. No secret comments because they’re not necessary.

A Touch of Therapy Cat Purrs and Magic

I got to have a therapy cat visit with my assisted living pals this week! I started off with a couple of my regulars, including the woman who loves my high fives. A couple of staff members followed our visits and took photos of me with the residents, and one took my human and me around to the people who were in wheelchairs. While I was visiting with one man, the woman with heavy hands walked past, and patted my human (heavily) on the shoulder. That was a surprise, as I don’t think we’ve ever seen her walking.
There was one couch with three of my regulars sitting together. I visited with them one by one while a staff member took photos. The lady on the far end was a little weepy, so I made sure to lie down and spend extra time with her. I do have a little bit of a sixth sense about who needs me, even if my human doesn’t always recognize it. Like one guy I sat next to who was by himself on a couch. He was mostly unresponsive, but I gave him a few head butts. He patted me on the head a couple of times and that was the extent of our interaction. It didn’t look like much to the human eye, but I think it was.
I don’t talk about the second house much since it’s pretty quiet and not much really happens there. We usually only spend about 15 or 20 minutes visiting there. But this time was interesting because my human heard disco music in the activity room and couldn’t resist investigating. I’m not sure what they had planned for the residents but they paused the music so I could visit the residents who were sitting around a table.
One woman at the other end of the table cowered and said she was afraid of me. So my human told her not to worry, we wouldn’t come near her. The woman in front of us really enjoyed petting me a lot, which fascinated the scared woman. And the woman on the other side of her wanted to see me, so my human took me over. And the woman wasn’t scared anymore, and couldn’t stop talking about me with the woman who asked to see me! I love when I’m able to win people over like that.
It was a fun visit, and I think I helped brighten everyone’s day.

Enjoying the Enclosed Patio With the Peach Kitty

I had a visit with the peach kitty in the enclosed patio. It was unseasonably chilly, so I wore my hoodie with the wings.
He didn’t seem to mind the hoodie, or the wings.
My human brought out the regular freeze dried treats, but she also had these squeeze up treats, which I love!
Guess who did not like them! My human offered, but he totally rejected it.
He preferred playing with the catnip toys. And then, after we went back inside, he did something really surprising! You can see in the video below.

The Problem With Cat Graduation Caps

It’s graduation season! And I’ve just earned my PhD in being a kitty! Which cap should I wear? I have a choice of these three. To be honest, there is a problem with each of them.
I think this one may be a little, um, tall for me!
Plus it’s hard to keep it from falling off.
This little one is plastic (I think it was supposed to hold party favors), and my human could never figure out a way to attach a strap. So I had to balance it on my head.
Now if only I could keep that tassel out of my eye!
Finally, there’s this cap, which seems to be the wrong size for my head.
My human messed with the chin strap in an attempt to made the word Grad more visible, but it was difficult.
So do you think I made any of these work? Which one do you think was the worst? Let me know in the comments!

Silly Sunday Outtakes

It’s time for outtakes! And I have some very silly photos for you this week.
While we were putting on my new sweater, my human thought it would be fun to grab a quick photo of me peeking through the neckband. Okay…
I look like I’m about to sneeze in this photo.
I don’t know what was going on here, but I definitely look like I was up to no good.
No round of outtakes would be complete without a tongue-out shot!
And that’s the end of this week’s outtakes! Did they make you smile? I hope so! If you have a favorite, let me know in the comments.

Dramatic Afternoon Portraits

My human and I spent some time in the front yard. It was a little late in the afternoon for portraits, but she thought she wanted to try something with the contrast between light and shadow.
We decided on this spot for me to pose. You can see it had a lot potential for nice silhouettes.
We had just enough sun for a few dramatic portraits.
It was late in the day, though, and we were losing light.
My human wanted to squeeze out just a few more photos.
But I told her I wanted to go back inside.
Did you like these? Let me know in the comments.

Ugly Dress Modeling, on Video

Yes, there’s a video of me picking out and modeling my “ugly” dress from the other day. You know, the one that my human didn’t like.
And you can hear her complaining about the dress in the video! She still can’t understand why I chose it.
But I think the answer is obvious: I chose it because I did! So there. Check me out in action and let me know if you agree with my human or me about this dress.

Unseasonable Modeling Session

About two and a half months ago, a nice Instagram follower from Finland asked for my measurements so she could knit me a sweater. So my human sent them along. A few weeks later, they were coming to the U.S. for a visit and sent me a package during their trip. It turned out to be not one but two sweaters! And they are amazing, cozy and so well made. Unfortunately we are having a heat wave here, but let’s face it, they are too pretty to wait for winter. So my human cranked up the air conditioning, and I got to model them.
Here’s the lavender and white one. You can see how happy I am to be wearing it!
Here’s a side view. You can see how well it fits.
Here’s the purple sweater. I love the ruffles at the hem and sleeves.
Here’s a side view. You can see that it’s long enough to be a sweater dress, which is awesome! So I’m ready for November.
My human wondered if the sleeves would hamper me being able to wave bye-bye, so we tried. It wasn’t too difficult.
Do you like my new sweaters? Let me know in the comments.
