Love, Latitude, Longitude (The Sonnet) | Sermon of Sustainability

Love knows no latitude,
Love knows no longitude.
Love only knows to be,
Annihilated in servitude.
Love knows no aptitude,
Love knows no sanctitude.
Love only knows to give,
And wind up a destitute.
A destitute lover is wealthier,
Than a loveless billionaire.
Prison of gold is still a prison,
Our own greed makes us prisoner.
Eyes off the gold and hands on the heart!
Thus we shall wipe out all the world’s dirt.

Sapient or Savage (The Sonnet) | Sermon of Sustainability

To be or not to be,
That is not the question.
To be human or stay animal,
That is the question.
Human and animal,
What is the difference!
To be animal is to be selfish,
To be human is to go beyond the self.
There’s more to life than us and them,
There’s more to life than loss and gain.
There’s more to life than money and fame,
There’s more to life than dogmatic lanes.
To be or not to be, that is not the question.
Be sapient or stay savage, it’s your decision.

Sustainability is Myth | Sermon of Sustainability

Remember the three S – Society, Sustainability, Simplicity. This is the key to a healthy, harmonious and progressive civilization.

Where there is simplicity, there is sustainability. Donde hay simplicidad, hay sostenabilidad. A materialistic and self-absorbed world chasing after the so-called sustainable development goals is like a superobese dog chasing after its own tail.

In a self-absorbed world sustainability is a myth. In a simple and gentle world sustainability is the norm. So let’s forget about sustainability. Let’s forget about sustainable development goals. These are all gimmick. I’ll tell you why.

Sustainable development goals is actually the privileged lot’s code for ‘let’s screw this world with our narcissistic shenanigans, then we can make TV shows on us pretending to fix the world’s problems that we continue to create with our lavish, self-centric lifestyle.’ It’s not a global goal, it’s a global scam, sold by the rich to the rich at the expense of everybody else – at the expense of the working people of planet earth.

Am I being too harsh? Perhaps I am, but then again, this planet has never been the home of the human race, it has always been the home of the rich and privileged, while the rest of humanity slave their butt off, barely scraping by on hand-me-downs and leftovers. The privileged screw the world, then the privileged pretend to fix the world. What a joke!

So instead of focusing on intellectual pomposities like sustainable development goals, the next time you indulge in a luxury, ask yourself, is it a luxury you really need – if not, how many lives you could lift with the resources spent on that particular luxury!

Let me put it into perspective. One fancy apple watch could feed a family of four in the developing parts of the world for half a year. So, stop talking about sustainable development goals, and start practicing sustainable habits.

Honor He Wrote Sonnet 47

Be the cactus, a proof of unsubmission,
And blossom amidst the fiercest environment.
In a world primed with the probability of hate,
Be love impossible and lift all lost in lament.
Aspire to expire for a cause uncausable,
And your heart will shine with light untamable.
When all go berserk for sect as bozos on booze,
Be the sectless sapiens and stand indivisible.
When all are possessed with the libido of liberty,
Be the first one standing, responsible ‘n righteous.
In a world founded on unfounded assumptions,
Be the first ink of understanding unpresumptuous.
Blockheads and blockhearts have only blocked amity.
It’s time to unblock, unfold and undivide our psyche.

Kindness No Obligation (The Sonnet) | The Gentalist

Those who feel kindness is an obligation,
Don’t really feel but crawl as walking dead.
Those who think society ain’t their responsibility,
Don’t think, they’re just specimens of mental midget.
Giants are those who lay themselves down,
For the welfare of every single soul around.
Intellect is a tool for, not a subject of, greatness and glory,
The root of all greatness is a gentle heart unbound.
Kindness is more than a trait, just like accountability,
These things make a human out of an animal.
Selfishness is more than a flaw, just like egotism,
These things keep an animal from becoming human.
Little selfishness is ok so long as your humanity is in charge.
We’ve been animal long enough, now let’s be giants on guard.

Honor He Wrote Sonnet 57

Dreams that we witness in sleep, ain’t no dream,
Real dream is the one that doesn’t let us sleep.
Only when mindful martyrs work without blink,
Rest of the world has a peaceful sleep.
I have been sleepless ever since I came of age,
Such is the madness of the dream of assimilation.
The thought of rest rarely enters my mind,
No matter how much the climb causes desolation.
No dream comes to fruition without restless nights,
No sun ever rises without first crossing darkness.
No mortal ever turns immortal without self-sacrifice,
No world is ever beautified without martyr’s madness.
Enough with the snobbish nonsense of dream analyzing!
All know sleepwalking, now let ‘em witness dreamwalking!

Medicine Means (The Sonnet) | Sermon of Sustainability

MEDICINE means Mercy,
MEDICINE means Empathy,
MEDICINE means Dare,
MEDICINE means Integrity,
MEDICINE means Care,
MEDICINE means Ingenuity,
MEDICINE means Nobility,
MEDICINE means Ethicality.
Medicine is not a profession,
Medicine is but a sacred calling.
An average doctor saves a body,
A good doctor saves a being.
Pathogens exist to cash in on sickness.
A doctor exists to be lost among patients.

(This sonnet is dedicated to one of my two teachers in Neurology, Oliver Sacks)

Peace is Existence (The Sonnet) | Mücadele Muhabbet

Peace is not a statement,
Peace is existence.
Love is not a sentiment,
Love is sentience.
Awareness is not a practice,
Awareness is absolution.
Moderation is not restriction,
Moderation is jubilation.
Ignorance is not inferiority,
Ignorance is upliftment.
Failure is not the end,
It is the road to development.
Acknowledge the whole, quirks and all.
You have all the powers to treat the world.

Honor He Wrote Sonnet 19

From error to error, we’ll correct our errors.
From failure to failure, we shall rise high.
From despair to despair, our fears disappear.
From scar to scar, our heart learns to fly.
From one jinx to another, we become destiny.
From darkness to darkness, we become light.
One wound to another, we become the cure.
From one loss to another, we understand life.
Dust bite after dust bite, all dust become ointment.
One lost road after another, we draw a new map.
Teardrops upon teardrops, all tears turn elixir.
One screw-up after another, we learn to grow up.
One heartbreak to another, we become the healer.
Bearing crisis upon crisis, we shall rise as creator.

People Vs Supreme Court (The Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | Statement on Supreme Court’s Decision to overturn Roe v. Wade

When the Supreme Court behaves prehistoric,
Every human must become an activist.
When the gatekeepers of law behave barbarian,
Every civilian must come down to the street.
When people are stripped off their basic rights,
By some bigoted and shortsighted gargoyles.
We the people must take back the reins,
And put the politicians in their rightful place.
We need no guns and grenades, we need no ammo,
Unarmed and unbent we stand against savagery.
Till every woman obtains their right to choice,
None of us will sit quiet in compliant apathy.
Every time the cradle of justice becomes criminal,
It falls upon us civilians to be justice incorruptible.
