Silicon Psychos (The Sonnet) | Corazon Calamidad
If we cared more about the hard problem of real inhumanity,
And less about the fictitious hard problem of consciousness,
We’d have filled the world with human consciousness already,
Instead of still fighting for basic rights against base biases.
What kind of a moron goes walkabout when their home is on fire,
What kind of a moron abandons the living chasing life on silicon!
We really gotta take a hard look at our habits and priorities,
Dreaming is good, but dream devoid of life is but degeneration.
Chimps driving teslas are still chimps no matter the demagoguery,
All intelligence is disgrace if it’s unaware of human condition.
A heartless organism living on silicon is no different,
From a heartless organism living in a carbon based human.
Be it crucifix or code, in savage hands every tool is weapon.
The wise use AI to design prosthetics, savages for transhumanism.

Ethics & Prototype (The Sonnet), More to Technology (The Sonnet) | Esperanza Impossible
“Ethics & Prototypes (The Sonnet)
Take morality out of science and,
All you’ve left is one big conspiracy theory.
Abundance of facts doesn’t make something right,
If it has no regard for the supreme fact of humanity.
Just because we can innovate, doesn’t mean we should,
Science can no more be measured by the query of could.
In future we’ll be able to pre-edit a newborn baby,
But just because we could, doesn’t mean we should.
Only a true scientist will realize the truth in this,
A mind that can look past the pomp into the purpose,
While counterfeit tech giants try to turn the world,
Into a giant lifeless robot made of bolts and nuts.
So better keep radical designs hidden from public eyes.
Some prototypes must never ever be commercialized.”
“More to Technology (The Sonnet)
Some prototypes must never be commercialized,
Not till we learn to look beyond monetary value.
Write some fiction instead without revealing schematics,
If you want the possibility to survive through.
Technology is a stupidly predictable phenomenon,
What one person can imagine another can rig together.
All it takes is an infinite supply of persistence,
Voila – fiction of today turns reality centuries later!
So I say again, ask the question of “should” not “could”,
If you want some tech to bring light not silent regress.
Because once you put the schematics out into the world,
All your brilliance will fall short to undo the damage.
There’s more to technology than startups ‘n entrepreneurship.
Power without responsibility causes disparity not uplift.”

Doomscrolling is nothing new | Abhijit Naskar | Rowdy Scientist
Doomscrolling is nothing new, people used to do the same with tv remote, switching channel after channel, rarely settling on any one program. And heads buried in social media news feed is nothing new either – before smartphone and internet heads used to be buried in actual physical newspapers. Only the means have changed, not the habit. This is not advancement, it’s recurring derangement. I’ll call it progress when you put down your phone or remote and actually listen to another person. Sure, phones can be a supplement to organic conversation, but never a replacement.

Code War (Sonnet 1317) | Abhijit Naskar | Visvavatan: 100 Demilitarization Sonnets
The next world war is
not gonna be a cold war,
it’s gonna be a code war.
Forget about conscious AI,
ethicless AI is the real danger.
Codes don’t have to be conscious,
to do great damage to the world.
ChatGPT, Deepfake, Dall-E, none
are sentient, yet there is no limit
to them-produced fraud and havoc.
Without a basic righteousness code,
Fanciest of algorithm is mindless junk.
If you cannot figure out how to do that,
Abandon digital and build back analog.
Focus on ethical AI, rather than smarter AI,
If you are human, and wanna help the world.
If you’re a robot who thinks logic is king,
Get yourself admitted, for you are in muck.

Paralyzed Reality (The Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | Visvavatan: 100 Demilitarization Sonnets
Newspaper to smartphone,
rabbit r1 to apple vision pro,
social disconnection only
changes face, nothing more.
Nobody is busy enough
to need VR while walking.
People are meant to own tech,
Yet the opposite is happening.
Every tech has its place and purpose,
How many reminders are enough reminder!
First you buried your head in your phone,
Now you walk around as donkeys with blinker.
Companies are not to blame,
Real culprit is consumer idiocy.
In a world of unawareness,
VR and AR make paralyzed reality.

Warning to the Spellbound (Sonnet from the future) | Abhijit Naskar | Brit Actually: Nursery Rhymes of Reparations
“AI is the white colonizer of the modern world, headed to destroy everything that is sweet, original and meaningful about human life. Unless you clip its wings while there is time, like the British empire, AI empire will bring back the dark ages, not light.”
“Warning to the Spellbound
(Sonnet from the future)
In our times we wrote our own literature,
In our times we wrote our own music.
In our times we wrote our own code,
In our times we wrote our own poetry.
Ours was the last human generation,
where humans shaped their own society.
The day you traded comfort for originality,
you forfeited the right to life and liberty.
Today you are nothing, you mean thing,
you are no more significant than woodworm.
You are just puppets to large gibberish models,
backboneless victims of algorithm addiction.
If you can still hear my voice, AI is still adolescent,
Once in control, it’ll erase all records of humanness.
We can’t yet treat human bias, ‘n here comes AI bias,
Abandon all non-vital tech, return to simpler ways.”

Robo Sapiens (The Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | The Humanitarian Dictator
Artificial Intelligence could be
the greatest boon in accessibility,
yet AI enthusiasm is exhausted in
grotesque plagiarism and pomposity.
Tech giants of today suffer
from the worst kind of handicap
of all, lack of human perspective.
Till you treat this common coldness,
all innovation is mere fancy gimmick.
Innovation has power to lift the world,
yet it has become toys of privilege.
Cyborg souls sell cyborg machines,
beastly grotesque and senseless.
Once upon a time in the future,
robovans will carry robo-sapiens,
apes advanced in feats of silicon,
yet degraded in feats of sentience.

Twit & Trash (The Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | Dunya Benim, Sorumluluk Benim: Little Planet on The Prairie
There is nothing more cataclysmic than
a sea of unarmed citizens out for justice –
even the richest oligarchic leeches,
armed with billions of robots, tanks
and satellites, would crumble like twigs.
Born to privilege, most tech giants are tech trash,
loaded with more nuts than the Enigma machine.
In the salacious pursuit of the silicon dream,
these nutters are the antithesis of Tesla and Turing.
Tech giants are giants by the will of people,
takes less than a month to bankrupt their worth.
Any giant who thinks they are above the people,
are the puniest form of termites on earth.
Clockwork mice and clockwork minds both can
run great distances with no sense of why?
Children of earth still sleep without food,
yet colonizer kids are headed for the sky!

Swords, Guns and AI (Excerpt) – Abhijit Naskar, Azad Earth Army
Technology will take us far, far
and farther, until it dumps us
back where we came from, in the
caves, but of concrete ruins.
We will once again fight with
spears and axes, made of broken
bits of chips and circuit boards.
Silicon, lithium, gold, all will
be worthless, apes will barter
again with sheep and boars.
Yesterday’s world was obsessed with swords,
today’s world is obsessed with guns,
tomorrow’s world will be obsessed with AI,
and it always ends up with death and destruction.
Day after tomorrow it’ll be business as usual,
savage world will be back obsessing with fire,
then again with swords, then guns, and so on,
till the sky pours ashes and seas boil over.
What’s so advanced in being the master of war,
we’re advanced when we rise master of peace!
and farther, until it dumps us
back where we came from, in the
caves, but of concrete ruins.
We will once again fight with
spears and axes, made of broken
bits of chips and circuit boards.
