Paralyzed Reality (The Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | Visvavatan: 100 Demilitarization Sonnets
Newspaper to smartphone,
rabbit r1 to apple vision pro,
social disconnection only
changes face, nothing more.
Nobody is busy enough
to need VR while walking.
People are meant to own tech,
Yet the opposite is happening.
Every tech has its place and purpose,
How many reminders are enough reminder!
First you buried your head in your phone,
Now you walk around as donkeys with blinker.
Companies are not to blame,
Real culprit is consumer idiocy.
In a world of unawareness,
VR and AR make paralyzed reality.

“Keep struggling, o brave soldier – keep struggling till politicians become an extinct species and politics an extinct profession.” Abhijit Naskar, Greatest Country on Earth is Earth
Keep struggling, o brave soldier – keep struggling till politicians become an extinct species and politics an extinct profession. The mission is, not to replace old world mindlessness with new world mindlessness, but to put an end to all forms of brainless authoritarianism selected randomly on the basis of charisma and popularity by hysterical whim.
The mission, I repeat, is to build a one world family, not one world government. Till the very word “government” is nowhere to be found but in books on ancient tribal rituals, keep on struggling, O Sapiens Impossible!

“Every time I write something radical, I ask myself – is it true – is it kind – is it necessary?” Abhijit Naskar, The God Sonnets
Over the years, quite a few sonnets never saw the light of day, because every time I write something radical, I always ask myself three questions – first, is it true – second, is it kind – and finally, is it necessary? And often it’s at the final question, that I’m reluctantly compelled to press delete on quite a few texts. Yet I don’t regret it, in fact, once I do delete that bit of my creation, I feel a huge load off my back – because, my mission is not mindless radicalism, my mission is mindful humanizing of the world. In the absence of heart, even truth becomes mindless – and the mindless never know they’re mindless, they feel like it’s an act of courage.
