Five Wonderful Techniques of Chakra and Aura Healing

We all have not just this one physical body that we see in the mirror, but also inner bodies of light that form the major blueprints of our existence in physical as well as astral worlds and higher dimensions.

Chakras are often visualized as wheels of light and are important energy centers through which our spiritual, mental and emotional energy flows. Our chakras not only connect with the physical body, our endocrine glands and various biological systems but also compose the overall frequency and brightness of our aura or light body.

Our aura indicates our health and energy state that determines all aspects of our life including our career, relationships, prosperity, emotional state, intellect, higher powers and spiritual awareness. The aura can have various layers much like a luminous cocoon or shell invisibly surrounding the individual and indicating his or her electromagnetic field. A brighter and radiant aura is a sign of emotional, mental and physical wellness and will reflect in the way some people can effortlessly attract positive situations or transform energy around them into something positive through their own overall energetic state.

There are 7 main chakras and many more minor chakras associated with our body its various glands, biological systems, aura energy and mental or emotional state. Keeping all major chakras in balance lets our energy flow smoothly for healing of body, mind and overall quality of life and supports the awakening of kundalini (inner power) and higher consciousness for spiritual ascension.

Here are some wonderful ways we can keep our Chakras and Aura healthy and bright:

Meditation and Channeling of Energy: When we meditate, detaching from the surrounding energies and drawing our attention instead to our inner self, we give energy to our chakras automatically. Through meditation our focus returns to who we are, our inner state of peace, light and love that is at the core of each being. This inner peace can help us channel or bring energy wherever it is needed in our body, mind and life including our chakras or spiritual energy centers. Simply close your eyes, sit in a relaxed yet alert posture with spine straight and legs folded either on a chair or floor, and allow attention to return to your center by looking within yourself, at the silent space within you. Observe your inner peace and if any thoughts or emotional turbulence is observed, allow it to settle on its own with your focus on your inner silence through regular and committed practice of at least 30 minutes a day. Through meditation spiritual energy of peace and universal love is automatically channeled, while training in Reiki and pranic energy is also helpful in accelerating this connection with the higher self for inner healing.
Breathing Exercises and Yoga: In a meditative state when we are channeling higher or positive energy of universal peace and love, we also can breathe through our various energy centers or chakras to direct energy in and out of our spiritual body. Breathing out of the regions of the body associated with each chakra helps in cleansing the chakras and clearing off negative or blocked energy, while breathing into the region of the body associated with each chakra helps in energizing and strengthening the chakras with positive life force energy. There are also many yogic postures or asanas that can bring attention to various physical regions of the body and the glands associated with each chakra, thereby helping to heal the chakras.
Colour and Crystal Therapy: Each chakra can be visualized in various colors of the rainbow. Bathing ourselves in this rainbow light from head to toe during creative visualization can be helpful in healing of chakras. The crown chakra is associated with violet, third-eye with indigo, throat with blue, heart with green, solar plexus with yellow, sacral with orange and root with red. Visualizing each chakra as a ball of light and brightening it with the power of visualization so that it feels radiant and healthy is a good way of energizing each chakra in a meditative state. Wearing the colors associated with the chakra that you wish to work with, or focusing on colorful mandalas or yantras designed specifically for the chakras one at a time during meditation can also help in healing each chakra with light. Crystals of the various chakra colours are natural gifts of mother earth that can help us heal our chakras with their peaceful and positive energy during meditation, and can at times also be placed on the regions of the body associated with each chakra or aligned along the spine for enhancing the energy flow between chakras during meditation.
Music, Mantras and Affirmations: Sound healing can help bathe the aura and energize the chakras with positive energy. Solfeggio frequencies for instance are especially connected with our chakras for their healing when we hear them in a meditative state. Mantras for chakras include OM for crown, SHAM for third-eye, HAM for throat, YAM for heart, RAM for solar plexus, VAM for sacral and LAM for root chakra and intoning them helps in cleansing and energizing each chakra during meditation. Similarly positive affirmations for each chakra helps us in absorbing positive beliefs corresponding to each of our chakras. For e.g.

I am perfectly safe and secure from deep within. I trust myself. (Root)
I feel amazing and vibrant with joy and delight. I celebrate myself. (Sacral)
I am a powerful being of light. I manifest my highest good. (Solar)
I overflow with abundance and compassion. I am love. (Heart)
I express my true feelings with honesty and kindness. I know myself. (Throat)
I look within and discover inner truth. I am intuitive. (Third-eye)
I am one with the source of universal energy. I am truth. (Crown)

The Goddess without Stereotypes

As the world is moving from patriarchal religion based philosophies that exonerate a ‘male God’ towards an acceptance of the divine feminine, we see the word Goddess used ever so often. People typically see this word ‘goddess’ as the ‘outer energy’ of the world, the dancing ‘shakti’ of visible nature, the movements of seasons, cyclical moon-phases, changeable vibrations or flow and ebb. This is the traditional viewpoint of the Goddess, one which is still somewhat patriarchal and based in an indirect or subtle belief in a masculine God viewed as the ultimate creator and the feminine goddess as his Maya or vibration.

In this viewpoint that has been marketed to us through centuries of time, we have seen the Goddess as physicality in the form of a beautiful maiden or glamorous idol with gorgeous clothes, a desirable Aphrodite, Radha, Venus or Voluptas, or as a gentle and docile motherly being embodied as Sita, Kwan Yin or Lakshmi, a giver of love, or if we are feeling somewhat feminist, a warrior goddess such as Durga, Athena, Nike or a dark crone Kali and Hecate. Her traditional role – to give energy or Shakti to the masculine, to be the power of Shiva the God, to dance as the world in the form of Radha who loves the superhero Krishna along with his numerous Gopis and wives, or to be the provider or nature (Prakriti) to the unending needs of man (Purusha). She has been seen through the ages as the Kundalini or serpent-like energy controlled by the supreme Lord who wraps her above his head like river Ganges in his crown chakra. The goddess has been equated with the energetic universe that although vast and infinite, has an ultimate creator above her, visualized predominantly as God the masculine force.

How about if we start seeing the Goddess as the Supreme Creator, with the word ‘Goddess’ containing ‘God’ within, who is manifest as the world or universe, yet also simultaneously beyond it as the Source? How about seeing the ultimate being as a feminine and not just masculine form, as Goddess and not just as God? How about saying ‘Oh my Goddess’ instead of ‘Oh my God’ sometimes in your daily routine? We do not see a lot of people, including new age spiritualists do that very often, and although we might argue that the the word ‘God’ is used by us as a term beyond gender, why not try to see the word Goddess too in such a higher light. How about seeing the earthly manifestation or ‘avatar’ of the Supreme Creator as the female Christ consciousness born of the heavenly mother Goddess and not just as the Son of the heavenly Father.

This shift in consciousness or perception helps us let go of all these stereotypical images of the goddess as not just a sexual, reproductive and fertility based icon of seasonal shifts and earth energy, but also a higher trans-personal being with the masculine and feminine encased within herself. No longer is she merely a gender based ‘ultra feminine’ personification, but also a gender-free consciousness that can express as male, female or transgender, a consciousness that exists within  everyone. After-all gender is a notion that we all can and should rise above!

Enjoy this meditation to help unite the goddesses of the world into the higher Source being for personal ascension and earth-healing through Oneness consciousness and allow the divine feminine in you return to her true awakened self!

11 Types of Foods to Avoid and Their Positive Replacements

Much of the foods cleverly packaged, branded, advertised and widely distributed in supermarkets can actually cause us tremendous harm. Even though we might see many people around us purchasing and consuming these everyday we should not assume that it is alright for us to follow suit. Most importantly, even though they may not always pose an immediate risk, over a period of time human society has, due to consumption of packaged products, been affected by ills of cancer, heart disease, high blood sugar, obesity, autism, mental and emotional illnesses, violence, dullness and stress. We have also brought a severe strain on our eco-system and threatened the life and wellbeing of other species with all the excess packaging and plastics that these foods lead to. Here are  positive or ‘sattvic’ alternatives that are healthier for everyone including earth, to replace the common negative or ‘tamasic’ diet options that have been popular all around.

Canned foods and Ready Meals: [image error]Tinned beans, canned tomatoes, spinach, and all kinds of pre-cut, pre-cooked and packed meals that you can open and eat right out of the box or cans are regarded as ‘Tamasic’ or low-vibrational, toxic meals that can bring our spiritual energy and wellbeing down.  Storing pre-cooked meals in the refrigerator overnight and for long hours, or on supermarkets shelves is also a cause for loss of ‘sattvic’ qualities in our foods.  A much more ‘sattvic’ or positive vibrational alternative is to consume only fresh and whole foods that are cooked at home and eaten immediately after cooking.[image error]
Bottled Juices and Smoothies: [image error]Although they are widely marketed as healthy and ethical foods, juicing of fruits and bottling them for distribution and sale can cause a loss of positive vibrations making these products ‘tamasic’ and stale. The energetic value of fruits is best when eaten whole and especially when they are organically farmed without pesticides and chemical products. Fresh fruits are also readily available and require no processing making them ideal for busy people who do not wish to spend time cooking and juicing.[image error]
Fizzy Drinks and Diet Colas: [image error]Although we might reach out for fizzy drinks for quenching our thirst on a hot day, the truth is they have absolutely no nutritional benefits and provide an artificial feeling of cooling while artificial sweeteners such as saccharine and aspartame in diet colas are linked with cancer. The best alternative to thirst quenchers is a glass of clean water that you can easily have at home or work, and carry your own bottle while on the go.[image error]
White Breads and Refined Flour Pastas: [image error]Having a crisp toast or sandwich made with fluffy bread for breakfast, packaged biscuits or cakes for tea and shapely white pastas for dinner may not be as healthy for us as we thought. Due to refined flour, preservatives and additives used for most of these products, they are likely to impair our digestive systems if we consume them regularly. A much healthier alternative is to use traditionally milled whole-grain flour that contains the husk and fibres within and to prepare oven-fresh brown breads, biscuits, home-cut and dried pastas, home baked pizzas and easy to cook brown ‘rotis’ (flatbreads) within minutes at home without any unhealthy additives that packaged breads would normally contain. [image error]
Crisps and Cheesy Snacks: [image error]Reaching out for the easily available bag of crisps or nibbles is so very convenient when we feel a sudden hunger pang, even though we know it is not actually healthy for us. The artificial processing in factories, added salt, cheese powder and MSGs make these products ‘tamasic’ for us. Children fed on such foods on a regular basis are normally found to face more illnesses and developmental delays too. Instead of substituting these with alternative packaged foods, try wholesome and nutritive vegetables and fruits such as cucumber and banana which require no preparation and can be consumed on the go by children and adults alike.[image error]
Snack bars and Granola: [image error]Nutty and cereal bars packed with sugars, sweeteners and chocolate as well as preservatives might be marketed as great health-foods but they are obviously not so. When we need to carry a nutty snack to work or play, we can easily pack some whole organic nuts in a bag and carry them with us to supply all the protein and fibre that we need, minus added sugar, sweeteners or preservatives.[image error]
Packaged Cereals and Cornflakes: [image error]A box of cornflakes or muesli or some of the colourful or sugary cereals that we quickly pour out for our children and for ourselves each morning may not be the brightest way to begin our day.  Due to the packaged nature of these products we end up eating sulphites and preservatives as well as excess sugar that can be easily avoided by consuming homemade cereal such as boiled oats, broken wheat with whole fruits and nuts, or toast some oats and nuts in our own oven and prepare our own crunchy muesli within minutes. [image error]
Ice-creams, Sweets and packed Desserts: [image error]Cool softies and tubs of ice-creams, colourful sweets and lollies have been heavily marketed to children all over the media and through the tempting sounds of ‘ice-cream vans’ that haunt every school building each day of summer. We all know that these sweets and frozen desserts are completely devoid of any nutritional value and contain mostly fluff, artificial colours and sugar. Avoid all the sweet junk by focusing on fresh, whole, organic fruits such as creamy avocados and juicy oranges that can be easily carried over to every playground whether school and home and give yourself and your children a healthier life. [image error]
Frozen Vegetables: [image error]Some people think that frozen vegetables contribute to the ‘pre-day’ requirements for a healthy vegan life. However frozen goods are just as ‘tamasic’ or negative in energy as canned or processed foods. Instead, purchase organic fresh vegetables from your local organic farmers who can either home-deliver or sell fresh seasonal produce at the farmers markets regularly, or reach out for the ‘organic fresh vegetable’ shelf when you go shopping everyday.[image error]
Meats and Poultry: [image error]Chicken, beef, mutton, fish, ham, eggs and virtually all dead meats are ‘tamasic’ in nature as their spiritual energy is dark as well as painful due to the way all animals are treated and killed for the purpose of consumption. Consuming fresh vegetables and fruits that do not kill the plant is much more natural and ethical, while being full of health benefits of ‘sattvic’ nature. [image error]
Dairy and Cheese: [image error]Just as meats and eggs can distress and kill animals, so does the dairy industry too. Instead of substituting your diet with vegan cheeses and packaged vegan milks which have been processed in factories and thereby ‘tamasic’, we can ideally eliminate our dependence on dairy and cheese altogether by training our mind to enjoy whole fruits and vegetables with water as the best ‘sattvic’ choice.[image error]

Six Reasons To Let Go of Labelling and Stereotypes

In society we are often told to conform to certain norms instead of being open and focused on discovering the truth about ourselves and the universe. From the time we are born till much later into adulthood we are programmed to worry about what other people think of us. We label ourselves and others based on generalised notions of what we ‘should’ be like with respect to age group, gender, physical traits, social status, race, beliefs, career and behaviour styles.

From being labelled as ‘aloof’ or ‘autistic’ when we are not socially malleable, to being labelled as ‘weird’ or ‘a freak’ when you are unique in your way of thinking, to being called ‘disabled’ when you simply have different abilities, labelling can often lead to a feeling of being judged, a suggestion that there is something ‘wrong’ with us if we do not confirm to social parameters and an indoctrination into social structures through various systematic approaches and interventions that are designed to mould us into what others want us to be.  Here are some reasons of why and how we can avoid some of the traps and pitfalls of labelling and stereotypes.

Focusing on what really matters: Instead of worrying about whether you ‘fit into’ social perceptions regarding how we should behave with respect to our age, gender and the unwritten rules of social conduct, we might find that focusing upon our health, wellbeing, inner joy and self-development could be far more beneficial as these are things that actually matter for each and every person in the world. Instead of these core or essential values we have been distracted by social expectations of how to talk, how to dress and how to behave that keep us engrossed in outer life instead of delving deeper within ourselves.
Evolving  higher than the norms: If all people were to ‘fit into’ specific parameters of thinking and behaving nobody would ever discover anything new. We would constantly imitate the crowd instead of learning new things, trying new ways of living or progressing higher than generic social norms already prevalent in society. We would cease to grow and evolve any higher than the level most people are at if we continue to conform to whatever is believed, practiced and preached to the masses by our predecessors. Innovation, self-realization and transformation can only take place when we have the courage to step out of the matrix of widely prevalent routines, rules and expectations.
Complete self-acceptance: Society would always say something or the other regarding how we are and how we are supposed to be ‘vis-a-vis’ other ‘normal’ people.  Stereotypes regarding the right clothing, makeup, choice of vocation, body-type, hobbies and interests can sometimes feel restrictive. We all develop different personalities, talents, physiques and points of view over time and none of these by themselves can totally define who we really are. We need to keep expanding our minds and allow ourselves to not be limited by partial notions of who we are that labels confine us or make us feel inferior. We are more than just a gender, a profession, a belief system, a physical body, an ethnic group or nationality. By letting go of all such labels we can embrace a full acceptance of our true self.
Equality: Stereotypes regarding gender, spirituality, race, cultures can all influence us consciously and subconsciously with false ideas such as ‘pink is a feminine colour’, or ‘white is more positive than black’, or that ‘gurus are men with long beards’. Skewed notions such as these can often result in gender and racial discrimination through ways that seem totally normal as per rules commonly accepted in society. Notions of what is masculine or feminine in fashion, in terms of career and false perceptions regarding ‘black or dark being evil versus white being good’, or that the creator of our universe is ‘God or He and not as Goddess or She’ need to be discarded from our everyday thinking, language, choices and spirituality.
Staying non-judgemental: By letting go of outward perceptions based on appearances we can avoid judging each other through our limited thinking. We need to focus more on who we are instead of judging other people as ‘good’ or ‘bad’, ‘right’ or ‘wrong’, ‘deserving’ or ‘undeserving’. We can never truly know another person because we hardly know enough about ourselves. The people we come across in our life often reflect our inner thoughts and characteristics that are hidden within us. By realizing that everything we encounter is either a reflection or a shadow of our own energy, we can let go of judgements and embrace our light.
Awakening our consciousness: Most scientific and spiritual breakthroughs and enlightenments are thanks to those people who did not conform to outer conditioned ideas and focused instead of raising their own awareness of who they are. Through meditation and self-realization we automatically begin to shed all our labels and dissolve into a higher light of truth. We begin to remember that our soul does not belong to any race, any gender, or any of the narrow definitions that are used to divide us. Instead we start uniting through unconditional love by realizing our interconnection as one consciousness that is flowing within all beings. We also begin to work on developing inner skills, powers and qualities that pave our path towards the light.

8 Ways to Manifest a Higher Reality

We all create our own realities through our consciousness. Our world is a direct reflection of our energy states. All frequencies are present in our multi-verse, however we can choose to focus upon higher vibrations of love and light to manifest a higher reality of our choice. Here are some simple techniques:

Choose Higher Vibrational Food: As the old saying goes, ‘What we eat is what we become’. Positive foods that are ethically sourced, non-violent, organic and nutritious can heal us better than medicines can, in the long run. By directly affecting our inner state positive and lighter meals can help us attract kinder and healthier situations in our life. We also learn how to not be a slave to our conditioned taste-buds that were programmed in the ‘matrix’ to enjoy things that were unhealthy and kept us trapped in lower dimensional thinking.[image error]
Breathe Right: By paying attention tour breath and staying relaxed and natural, we can maintain a calmer and more meditative state throughout the day. We can therefore stay calm and unperturbed by negativity and give energy to those ideas and actions that matter most to us and our wellbeing. We also find that staying meditative and relaxed helps us access our intuition and remain in touch with our higher self to create a loving and positive reality.[image error]
Channel Healing: We all are constantly channelling energy through our mind and body. By gaining awareness of how energy is constantly flowing through us, we can consciously send positive energy to those ideas that bring us joy. At any point of time throughout the day, we can visualize something positive and send healing energy through our palms into the situation we are visualizing, to create health, understanding, success and all good things.[image error]
Speak Uplifting Words: While it is necessary to be honest and expressive, we can also learn to speak our truth kindly and in a way that uplifts everyone instead of being judgemental or harsh. By speaking through higher awareness we can raise vibrations higher so that all concerned can come together by focusing on those positive values that unite us as one. Often we end up discovering and relearning universal truths that touch our soul deeply and allow love to flow. [image error]
Look Within Yourself: While we are out and about in our daily business of life, our focus can sometimes be on the way others are behaving, or in outer appearances of the world. By looking within ourselves we can draw attention back to our heart centre to focus on higher life lessons while staying detached from unnecessary energies that might distract us from our life-path and purpose. This also helps us radiate kindness and light for healing of those who may need it.[image error]
Higher Thinking: We all know that ‘thoughts become things’. By focusing on thoughts of love, peace and happiness, that are for the greater good of all concerned we can energize our reality and heal our world, one thought at a time. Not only what we think, but the inner state in which we hold our thoughts matter. Intentions made in a state of higher frequency or meditation can powerfully manifest into existence by connecting us with our ‘creator energy’.[image error]
Higher Vision: While it is easy for us to feel sorry or sad about negative things that are happening in the world, we need to also realize that through empathy and love we can hold the most positive and highest frequency vision for our planet and allow our higher consciousness to ripple out gently into manifestation. Visualize yourself floating higher and sending loving vibrations into the world.[image error]
Know Thyself: In the lower vibrational ‘matrix’ we were conditioned to believe that we exist as limited beings for a limited period of time. Through a deeper realization of who we are we find that we are existence itself. We are not separate souls living separate lives but one divine consciousness dreaming up the worlds that we share together. This awareness helps us believe more strongly in our inner power or ‘shakti’ that births a new higher vibrational reality.[image error]

12 Eco Friendly Homemade Alternatives to Personal Care Products

We all know that personal care products such as shampoos and shower gels not only contain harsh chemicals but also harm our planet with excess plastic packaging. While eating healthy raw vegan foods and enjoying a meditation routine are the best way to ensure healthy body, skin and hair, through the power of consciousness we can use completely natural, homemade, organic, ethical, vegan and plastic-free products for personal care and do our bit to save the world, one day at a time… and save money too.

Body Wash and Scrub: A great homemade alternative that can be easily incorporated in our bath is ‘ubtan’ or a gentle paste of oatmeal or gram flour (besan) mixed with a little water, to which we can add a sprinkle of ground turmeric for its wonderful antiseptic qualities. As we apply and scrub our body with these all natural ingredients we feel relaxed, healed and cleansed at the same time.[image error]
Hair Wash: We may not need to search far and wide for shampoo alternatives. Going ‘poo’ free is easier when we can have all natural and organic Shikakai or hair-fruit, a few pieces of which added to warm water can give us a mild lathery and fragrant concoction for washing our hair. Herbal teas such as nettle and rosemary can make excellent rinses for the hair too.  [image error]
Detergent: Laundry can smell wonderful and be really clean with a small muslin bag of soapnuts (reetha) tossed into your bucket or washing machine. [image error]
Hair Conditioner: All those expensive brands of conditioners can be easily replaced with pure and natural organic oils such as coconut oil, olive oil or gooseberry (amla) oil which can be lightly applied to the hair follicles before washing to result in clean as well as balanced hair. [image error]
Skin Care: Our skin loves the feeling of fruit pulp such as organic avocado which can give most skin creams a run for their money. Expensive brands or beauty parlors may not be necessary; mashed banana applied on the skin with cucumber slices on our eyes can make a great home based beauty treatment. Most natural organic vegan oils such as coconut oil can bless our skin with moisture and that nourished feeling. [image error]
Ear Cleaning: Ear buds are terrible for they push wax back into our ear canals to block our ear drums causing infections and the plastic in them is unhelpful to the environment too. Simply add a drop or two of olive oil in your ear canal and leave it in for a few minutes before repeating this for the next ear so that within a few days the excess wax is released naturally.[image error]
Hair Color: Harsh bleaches and chemical dyes in our hair color and treatments are not only expensive but also damaging to our health in the long run. A homemade paste of organic henna leaf powder with a bit of water can be easily applied all over our hair and washed off after an hour for a gentle and natural color that is easy on the eyes and leaves the hair soft with a beautiful natural fragrance. [image error]
Mouthwash: Fluoridated and alcohol based mouthwashes can be harmful in the long run. A small piece of cinnamon bark can cleanse the mouth effectively with its anti-microbial action. You can also boil it in water and cool it to prepare a fresh home-made mouthwash in minutes. Chewing a pod of cardamom can freshen breath in an instant without any of the sugars or plastic of chewing gums or lozenges.[image error]
Teeth Cleaner: While toothpastes without fluoride and sulfates can be hard to find, we can try to cleanse our teeth with a home made paste of powdered cinnamon and clove. Chewing a neem bark or ‘dantun’  as a natural toothbrush has germ repellent effects. Chewing a clove can be extremely effective in warding off tooth  aches too. [image error]
Skin Detox: Acne, eczema and skin problems can be easily remedied at home with the help of neem leaves, a few of which boiled in water, strained and cooled can be added to bath for an effective skin detox. A paste of neem leaves can cleanse and purify skin as a face pack. Herbs such as basil, lavender and chamomile are not only great as herbal teas, they can also be great for skin care when added to bath for a fragrant and chemical free spa experience at home. [image error]
Lip Color: Wax, chemicals and plastic in lipsticks can be harmful for the skin and environment. Organic dragon’s blood tree sap or ink can actually be healing for our skin as well as provide a beautiful red or pink tint at the same time. Lip gloss can be easily made at home using by grinding and straining beet juice and adding a bit of coconut oil to it which can even be solidified.[image error]
Perfume and Sprays: Highly devoured brands of fragrances and body sprays not only cost much more than they are actually worth, they might have artificial fragrances and harmful ingredients too. Simple and pure essential oils that can be safely dabbed on to our clothes include lavender, geranium, rose, patchouli and many more. Essential oils such as peppermint, citronella and eucalyptus can also be sprayed or diffused in rooms for deodorizing and repelling insects sans chemicals.[image error]

12 Simple Tips for Meditation

Just like dreams are created through our conscious and subconscious energy, our life is also a product of our conscious or unconscious energy. Meditation is a non-religious, spiritual science of awakening inner consciousness.

We all create our reality through our consciousness, although not everyone realizes this fact. For humanity to awaken into a more conscious state meditation should be an essential daily practice for every person. This will enable us to make more conscious choices for better wellbeing, peace, joy and love so that we improve every aspect of life.

Anyone can meditate with these simple tips:

1. You may begin practice of meditation at a quiet place where you are not disturbed

2. Close your eyes gently and look within in a relaxed and alert posture

3. Observe your sensations, feelings and mental thoughts without judging them

4. Breathe in and breathe out naturally and observe your breath

5. Observe yourself, who is feeling, who is thinking, who is breathing

6. As your thoughts reduce slowly find silent space in your mind for inner peace

7. Witness yourself as your inner consciousness beyond body and mind

8. Spend time with your inner self, begin with 30 min to one hour daily

9. For establishing routine you may choose the same time everyday if it works for you

10. Some people find it easier to meditate on a light stomach

11. With practice you can meditate anywhere at anytime by being aware of inner self

12. Special techniques, chants, music, clothing, mats, mudras, aromas, gurus or décor are not always necessary although they help to induce a meditative state sometimes

Seven Ethical Guidelines for Spiritual Practice

Whether you are a spiritual practitioner or a seeker of spiritual healing services, these few guidelines can be helpful in clearing misconceptions and encouraging a more peaceful experience in spiritual practice.

1. First of all Harm None: Spirituality is all about developing loving compassion and forgiveness. Any harmful practice such as cursing, revenge or sending negative energy even in retaliation or as a show of power is not spiritual in nature. Some people believe that it is alright to send harm back to the person who sent it your way, without realizing that doing so would only multiply the negative energy circulating in our matrix in which all of us are deeply interconnected. Negative energy is meant to be shielded out and transformed to something positive through inner work instead of reacting to it.[image error]

2. Reasonable Exchange: On one hand some people believe that spiritual service of any kind such as healing, meditation, training or reading, should be provided totally free. On the other hand there are practitioners who charge unfairly high amounts by pretending to have ‘special’ powers while the truth is that anyone can learn and practice these skills over time through personal dedication. Spiritual services, especially if carried out by qualified, dedicated practitioners at a private practice will require sustenance through either sufficient donations or service fees. It is fair to make a reasonable exchange in return of the attention you receive to compensate for the focused time and expertise you take from someone.[image error]

3. Integrity: It can be shocking to see lack of honesty and integrity among some spiritual professionals where ethics and positive energy are supposed to be the core teachings. Just as stealing money or goods is unethical, stealing someone’s intellectual property such as brand name, contacts and course content is unethical too, yet this has been commonplace in the crowded spiritual marketplace. Another kind of stealing is psychic ‘vampirism’ where feed off the time and energy of others. Some false gurus have been adept at charming clients to attract financial benefits, or sexually seducing young apprentices in the guise of sacred union. True spiritual practitioners are brimming with energy and radiate their inner light instead of manipulating others for personal pleasure or gain.[image error]

3. Break Free from Superstition: In the past spiritual powers were attributed to spirits, demons, gods, angels, fairies or mysterious occult forces. Today we have realized that we all can manifest reality through our deep beliefs, focused thoughts and higher consciousness. Whatever we believe in becomes part of our reality, including various spiritual and otherworldly beings in our grand illusion. Certain religious and magical folk have in the past exploited masses for power or material gain by playing upon fears of devil or hell, and promising divine wish fulfillment or heaven in return of obedience and servitude. A spiritual practitioner on the other hand works on improving inner frequencies, raising consciousness and allowing people to realize their inner truth.[image error]

4. Self Empowerment: Some gurus and cult leaders have attempted to maintain a higher stature by claiming that others require ritualistic conversion, cult initiation or energy transfers given exclusively through them. Having followers that are completely dependent on you and cling to every word you say without their own personal awakening is not a sign of a true master. In truth spiritual energy or universal consciousness flows freely everywhere with each person always connected to the source or creator. The best initiation, attunement or baptism is self-realization and personal spiritual development which helps the individual in awakening to the infinite self.[image error]

5. Inner Path: Some people are confused between religion and spirituality without an understanding that spirituality is an inner path unlike religions which are about following messages given by others. Belief in or worship of outer deity, their life-stories, mythologies and commandments is religious and not necessarily spiritual practice. Meditation and personal enlightenment is about going within ourselves and learning who we are through awakened intuition because everything that we see outside could simply be an illusion that we are yet to awaken from.[image error]

6. Inner and Not Outer Power: Spirituality is not a power or ego trip to gain mastery over others, but a lesson in compassion and inner transformation. Some people try to gain spiritual power with the sole aim of gaining followers, popularity, financial success or worldly power. In truth, the only power we need to develop is the power over our own mind. The illusion that succeeding in the outer world is the purpose of our life is bound to break some day when we return to our self and realize it is all about how truthful and positive we are from inside. [image error]

7. Unity Consciousness: Divisive or limited beliefs regarding gender, sexuality, caste, culture, race, genetics, lineage, religion or language are not a symbol of true spirituality. Unconditional love that focuses on universal peace, unity and equality is awakened through spiritual and meditative practice that connects us with out common inner core. we all are from the same source which is our true self and we can all return to oneness through spiritual awakening.[image error]
