End the Harassment – Free our Boat!
13 Days in Greek Military Dock and Counting
The Audacity of Hope is still detained and power has now been cut again to coincide with the hottest period of the day. We have received word this morning, July 13, from passengers remaining on the boat that electricity has again been cut. Greek authorities are acting under pressure from the U.S. and Israeli governments. Yesterday, five U.S. coast guard agents visited the dock to take photos of our boat, while refusing to communicate with our passengers and crew.

A letter from a Palestinian woman to the supporters of Palestine

You risk your life to both witness and tell the truth of what you see. You are a group of people who understand what is happening in the holy land and have decided to dedicate your time, money and energy to the issue. You demonstrate that religion nor race is important when it comes to standing up for the rights human beings. And every step you take justic

Back in the States - the Movement to Free Gaza Continues
A short and overdue update to inform everyone that I returned to the U.S. on July 6th as originally scheduled. I will be based in Pennsylvania for the next few weeks and am looking to set up speaking engagements about the flotilla in the Northeast and MidAtlantic. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to all those who contributed financially to make my participation in the Freedom Flotilla 2 possible.

A Beautiful Poem: Setting Sail
I'm not often one for poetry, but this is, in humble opinion, quite moving.

Setting Sail
by Rachel Roberts
The lines won't come
they squiggle and tangle
jumbling my thoughts
my nerves stick up
like pins in the cushion
worrying about that boat.
It prickles like heat on cactus
like mange on dog
like flies on three day old rotten fruit.
Sabotage Video of Flotilla Boat
I don't have time to post proper updates of the flood of news coming out about the flotilla, let alone personal reflections, so I will have to settle for this brief post for now.

Press Conference at the Boat!
Today we will have a public unveiling and inspection of the SS Audacity of Hope (3pm Athens time). We are now able to reveal that our boat is docked at the port town of Perama, outside Athens. We have a press release out here. There will be also be photos of the boat - consider it a virtual tour. It's really a fine ship. Several people will read a few of the letters written by U.S. citizens to the people of Gaza.
