TBT - The Classic "Pride and Prejudice"

Picture It's TBT and it's been awhile since I've done a post. I kept thinking and thinking and decided to do it on my favorite book. I know it's not considered Christian fiction but it is romance at its finest.

So the first question is have you read Pride and Prejudice? If yes, do you love it? Who's your favorite character?

Second question, have you watched the movie? Which version is your favorite?

And last, have you read any of the Pride and Prejudice spin offs?
I think it's only fair that I answer al...

Review of Fatal Convictions by Randy Singer

Picture Y'all do you read suspense novels? If not, have I got one for you to check out. It's Randy Singer's Fatal Convictions. Whew. It was like a Law and Order show had been written as a novel.

Now, this isn't my first Randy Singer novel. I read Directed Verdict a few years ago and was absolutely riveted, so that was my expectation this go around.

Mr. Singer did NOT disappoint. So what is it about you ask? Well, Alex Madison is a pastor and a lawyer. Interesting mix, right? He is hired to represent...

Review of Yesterday's Tomorrow by Catherine West

Picture Sometimes after reading a book, you're left with the struggle to form into words how much the book affected you. Yesterday's Tomorrow was that type of book.

I'm no stranger to Catherine West. I read her book, Bridge of Faith, and absolutely loved it. In fact, I wrote a blog on it here.

But even though I have read her writing before, my heart was still not prepared for the emotional gamut that followed. I cried. I laughed. I covered my eyes only to realize I had to uncover them to continue read...

Reviews: an Author's bestfriend

Picturepicture downloaded from pixabay.com Unfortunately, I do not have a new review for you today. I've been swamped working on edits as well as trying to take a dent in my TBR pile. I thought about reviewing some of the novellas; however, I actually want to talk about writing reviews instead.

Do you take the time to write a review or rate a novel? It's sad to see that many people don't write reviews. Did you know how much reviews help authors? It's no different than going on social media and laudin...

My TBR Pile - Week of 12/7/15

The year is winding down, but my TBR pile is continuing to grow. Last week, I actually read every book in my pile. That rarely happens, but a couple of them were novellas which made it easy for me.

But, it's another week, another pile. Here's what I'm hoping to read this week!
Picture Christy Barritt's Random Acts of Murder
I saw this was free and since I've enjoyed other books by Ms. Barritt, I downloaded it to my ereader.

Curious as to what it's about? Here you go: "When Holly Anna Paladin is given a...

The Power of Prayer

Picture picture taken from pixabay.com Every now and then, I get down about prayer. I wonder if my offer of prayer to someone in need of physical or spiritual healing is viewed as not enough. As if I’m not giving my all. Every now and again, I feel that prayer is inadequate.

Yes, I said it.

But, these thoughts make me human. And doesn’t the enemy like to use our humanity against us? To make us think that we are inadequate? That we don’t have anything to offer our fellow man when they’re hurting?

Bu...
