Be a Wealth Builder
Jesus made an interesting statement in Luke chapter 16, verse 8. He said, “The children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.”
It is true that often the ungodly seem to possess a greater savvy concerning wealth than the children of God. The children of this world usually set monstrous goals, gather all the information they can find, make huge commitments, and walk away with incredible riches, while God’s children sit back and wait for something to happen.
Nothing Is Impossible
When the Tower of Babel was being built, the children of this world had to be stopped. God said, “Nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” That’s why God was forced to stop them from constructing their devil-honoring tower.
All ungodly wealth-gainers will likewise one day be stopped.
These worldly-minded people used their imaginations. They laid plans, set goals, established unity, and unless God stopped them, He said, nothing would be impossible for them. But you are not ungodly. You are not a child of this world. You are God’s chosen family member. Jesus said, “Nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
Solomon said, “The prudent (wise) man dealeth with knowledge: but a fool layeth open his folly.”
What is he saying? Simply this: If you are wise, you will seek knowledge concerning a particular subject. The wise person, if he wants to activate his power to get wealth, seeks to uncover knowledge about wealth. The fool says, “Oh, I don’t need any knowledge. If God wants me to be wealthy, He’ll just come down and make me rich.”
The fool expects God to not only give him the power to get wealth but expects God also to do all the work.
Can you imagine a farmer saying, “God has given me seed. If He wants it to be planted, He’ll just come down and plant it?” Or can you picture a farmer saying, “The harvest is now ripe. If God wants me to have it, He’ll come down and harvest it for me.” You would say, “That farmer is crazy.”
Many of God’s children act similarly by saying in either words or attitude, “If God wants me to have a financial harvest, He’ll go out and reap it for me and bring it all into my barns.” That’s as ridiculous as a farmer expecting God to go out and pick the corn after it has grown and matured.
There are many resources that will help you gain practical knowledge concerning finances. Many can point you to the ladder of wealth, but they can’t make you climb it. That’s something you will have to do yourself.
When you start learning about investments, it may seem like a maze at first. It was to me. Month after month, and year after year, it all will become clearer to you as you gain more knowledge. It is exactly like the prophet Isaiah said:
Isaiah 28:9, 10
Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Don’t get discouraged. Start building your wealth library today.

Wealth is a Blessing
Have you ever chased a rainbow? When I was eight years old, someone told me that if I could get to the end of a rainbow, I’d find a pot of gold. That sounded pretty good to me! So I shared the news with all my neighborhood friends.
It was around the Fourth of July in 1959 when my first opportunity appeared—a beautiful rainbow in the western skies. I gathered up all my buddies, and we set out to find the gold. We all needed money to buy some fireworks for upcoming celebrations, and we figured this would be the quickest way.
The end of the rainbow looked like it was only a few blocks away, so we initiated our expedition. We crossed the busy street our parents told us never to cross. We cut through a car wash, marched through the back of the telephone property, through the park, and across the football field at the junior high school. It seemed as though that fickle rainbow was moving away from us as fast as we were walking toward it.
But we marched on with gold-dust fever.
Finally, when we reached the county airport—eight miles from home, the rainbow silently faded into the blue sky. Gone. We were disappointed that we missed finding that pot of gold.
We got in quite a bit of trouble with our parents over that adventure, but at least they explained to us that the “pot of gold” story was just a myth. All that work for a lie. What a let-down.
Lotteries, Casinos, and Schemes
Today many adult lives reflect my life as an eight-year-old. I was chasing a rainbow, but today they are chasing the lotteries, the casinos, and the greed-based get-rich-quick strategies that seem to come along in everybody’s life. The Bible has something to say about these schemes.
Proverbs 13:11 (NLT)
Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; Wealth from hard work grows.
God created you for outrageous wealth, but it won’t come from rainbows, lotteries, casinos, or schemes. It comes from power—the power God gives you to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18).
Wealth Is a Blessing
Solomon said, “The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow to it (Proverbs 10:22). The word “rich” in the Hebrew language means “an accumulation of steadily growing wealth.” It’s speaking about material prosperity—yes, it’s talking about real hard-core riches; money. The word “sorrow” is translated as “struggle.” No struggle in growing wealthy!
If it’s true that the blessing of the Lord brings riches, then our key to wealth is not in searching for wealth directly, but in searching for ways to experience the blessing of the Lord. It’s the blessing of the Lord that makes a person rich. I don’t think anybody wants to be poor. Everybody has a built-in desire to be wealthy. God put that desire there just like He put other desires into the human soul.
Have you wondered why you can look at two men’s lives; both having worked thirty years at the same place, were paid the same amount of money, yet one ends up wealthy, and one ends up with barely enough to get by on? What’s the difference? It’s simple. It’s not how much money you make that determines whether or not you are wealthy, or will become wealthy. It is the blessing of the Lord and the activating of the power to get wealth that determines your financial destiny.
Some people know the right things to do to become radically wealthy. But knowing the right things will not bring you riches. It is doing the right things that speeds you up the road to radical riches. Wisdom is the right application of knowledge. When you do the right things; take the right actions – that is called “wisdom.”
Wisdom says, “Those who love me inherit wealth, for I fill their treasuries” (Proverbs 8:21). We first learn to listen to God by listening to His Word, the Bible, then acting upon it. Are you prepared to enter into the place of radical wealth?

Twisted Mindsets
Sadly many of God’s people have PMS (Poverty Mentality Syndrome). There is a “wealthy place” to which God invites you. But PMS keeps many in bondage to the mediocre place.
Signs of a Poverty Mentality
1. Spending rather than investing
2. Believing, “I should be a rich as others without having to pay the price they paid”
This leads to the “Buy now, pay later plan.”
No multi-millionaire has that plan
3. Self-fulfilling prophecies people make with their own lips identifying the poverty mentality syndrome.
Saying things like:
“Can’t afford it.”
“There are more important things than money.”
“Did you ever read that money is the root of all evil?”
“It’s harder for a rich person to get to heaven than for a camel to get through the eye of a needle.”
“He’s filthy rich.”
Criticizing the wealthy
4. Believing this lie: “I should be paid more for seniority than productivity.”
Some people think they should be paid for occupying space
There are three disgusting attitudes:
Entitlement mentality
Victim mentality
Scarcity mentality
A poverty or scarcity spirit darkens dreams and enslaves souls to living beneath their God-given power and potential. Check out the message I Had a Poverty Spirit and Didn’t Know it.
5. Thinking, “There’s nobility or spirituality in lack”
6. Believing “It’s not spiritual to focus on money” (Jesus disagreed)
Luke 16:11-12 NLT
And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?
And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?
A printer typo is on the computer, not the printer. The problem is in thinking, not the outcome they produce.
7. “I feel guilty when wealth comes to me.”
Why? When God said he gives you the power to get wealth in Deuteronomy 8:18.
Are you going where you want to go? Doing what you want to do?
Right now determine to eliminate the PMS and receive the promise of God for the power to get wealth, connect it to the Great Commission, and enjoy more yourself, and leave your children and grandchildren a wonderful inheritance.

The Leader’s Vision
A leader’s vision is critical to success. If you can see the invisible, you can accomplish the impossible.
Ephesians 3:20–21 NLT
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
Jesus gave us one of the most powerful Scriptures about vision in this verse.
John 4:35 NKJV
“Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!”
See Things as They Shall Be
He was teaching his disciples, “Don’t see things as they are; see things as they will be!” If you keep seeing things the way they are, if you don’t change your vision, you will keep getting the same results. You must see the end result by faith before you can achieve it.
The disciples were ignorant and unlearned men who appeared to lack potential. But Jesus had a vision for those men’s futures that others couldn’t see. He could see Peter as a mighty apostle preaching on the day of Pentecost when 3,000 men came to Christ. He could see Matthew and John writing the Gospel accounts. He had ultimate vision.
Some realtors use vision to help you see a wonderful future in a dumpy, rundown house. They paint a word picture: “If you paint this wall here and redesign there, this place would be beautiful!” Realtors like that are the most successful because they give you a vision of what could be rather than what is. Paul wrote about this same subject to the Corinthians.
2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
If you see things from God’s point of view and begin to speak and act on it, you can accomplish the impossible. True faith sees the invisible becoming real.
What can you see in your life that is invisible? A better marriage? A better business? A greater ministry? A greater income? That vision is eternity working within you to achieve the impossible!
Getting into Focus
What would you think of a photographer who started snapping pictures without bothering to focus the camera first? Maybe one photo would turn out, but only by chance. It’s much more productive for a photographer to sharply focus on the very best shot and then snap the picture. Likewise, your vision as a pacesetting leader must come into focus.
What does vision mean? We are not talking about a vision as a function of the spiritual gifts, though I believe in supernatural visions and revelations. What I mean by vision is a comprehensive sense of where you are now and where you are going, the big picture of your future. Vision is your heart concept of where you are headed in your ministry, your business, your family, your life.
Vision sets you apart
Vision is the motivating force of a church, a business, a life. Vision sets apart real achievers from those who “also ran.” Vision is essential to pacesetting leadership. I’m captivated by the realization that fruitfulness, effectiveness, and growth are largely the result of vision, not resources. Vision is being able to see the right things, to see what others don’t see—to see the apple tree, the apple orchard, and the apple pie factory, all in one little seed.
Proverbs 29:18a KJV
Where there is no vision, the people perish….

Renovate Your Mind
How can you gain mastery over those areas that have caused you so many problems? The only answer is by having the mind of Christ. The Bible calls it being “transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
The word renew comes from a Greek word that means totally renovate. The only way to drive old things out is to push in new things. You don’t renovate your house by adding new furniture, paint and decorations to the old ones. You must replace old the with new. It’s not easy, but it is totally worth it for you as a leader and for the people you serve. Here is how to accomplish it.
You must be born again
By accepting Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior, you enable the Holy Spirit to work in your life. It’s impossible to have the mind of Christ, or a pacesetting leader’s proper attitude, without allowing the Holy Spirit to work in you. And he can’t work in you until you make a conscious decision to accept the gift of salvation Christ provided on the cross.
Accept full responsibility for your mind
I have had to remove myself from certain environments and break off certain relationships because they were exposing me to wrong attitudes and unrenewed thoughts.
One person with a bad attitude can bring down everyone in the room. Likewise, an upbeat person can energize and uplift everyone in a room. Attitudes are contagious and determine the environment. You need to be aware of the actions, words, and ambiance of the people and situations you are exposed to. Be ready to remove yourself from toxic people and settings.
Reevaluate your current thoughts and attitudes in the light of God’s Word
Ask yourself, “Have I been taught wrong?” Sometimes it is hard to recognize if you are operating from your own mind or the mind of Christ. Take a good, hard look at your mental habits, your attitudes, and the fruit you are bearing in your life and area of leadership.
Reject old thoughts when they return
In the Navy, we had a room called the Sperry Gyrocompass Room. In that room was the automatic pilot which guided the ship where it had been programmed to go. Not just anyone could enter that room; you had to have security clearance. The function and safety of that gyrocompass was so critical to the success of the ship’s mission, that if someone sneaked in and tampered with the coordinates, the ship would end up way off course. We could have ended up in Africa instead of Hawaii.
Your mind and heart are like that gyrocompass. They can be programmed to reach God’s destination for your life or some other destination.
The Bible says to guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life. Your heart, the deepest part of your being, guides you through life. Before your mind was renewed, your autopilot was programmed to take you to wrong places. When you came to Christ, when you renewed your mind to be more like Christ’s mind, your ability to redirect the autopilot began to grow. It’s a constant struggle, but worth it for every pacesetting leader. Let wrong ideas control your mind and you will never arrive at God’s destination.
Proverbs 4:23 KJV
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Proverbs 4:23 NLT
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
Guard your heart! When you reject thoughts with your conscious mind, they won’t be able to enter your unconscious mind. If you do not reject them with your conscious mind, they will go in and become a part of your unconscious motivations. Reject them before they get inside that autopilot room. Remember, your conscious mind can discern and judge but your subconscious mind cannot.
Speak words in harmony with God’s Word
Your ears love the sound of your voice! When you speak words with your mouth, your mind hears them and gives much more weight to them than anything it hears from someone else. If you repeat a bad report, it goes into your mind and ultimately affects your attitude and actions. If you speak words that do not line up with God’s Words, you open the door to failure.
See and rehearse
Athletes are trained to envision in their minds the game they are about to play. They “see” themselves running their fastest, making the catch, or hitting the ball straight down the fairway. They see themselves succeeding.
I learned about this kind of envisioning when I met with Dr. Paul Cho in 1980 in Orchard Park, New York. He related that when he had just thirteen members in his church, he envisioned having a thousand members. That’s why he preached with his eyes closed. With his eyes open, he saw thirteen. With his eyes closed, he saw a multitude. Eventually, his church grew to the largest Christian church in the world.
I went home from that meeting and I would practice “seeing” myself as a successful pastor. In my mind, I would rehearse a sermon three or four times. That was how I renewed my thinking and my attitude. Not too many years later I was preaching every week to real people, but it all began with letting the mind of Christ permeate my imagination and renew my thinking.
Some people warned me, “To rehearse things in your mind like that is an occult practice! Don’t get into ‘envisioning’ things.” I told them that the devil has a counterfeit for everything, even mental transformation. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t renew our minds. There is a movie screen in your mind and if you don’t put something on it, the devil will. Rehearse the things God puts into your mind as you listen for the thoughts of Christ.
Rehearsing your actions and meditating on your success when it comes to God’s will for your life is not an occult practice; it is a powerful tool that God gives you to ensure that you stay the course.
Go after everything like you’re going to succeed
Nothing of value has ever been accomplished by a person who thought his or her idea was going to fail. Does anyone say, “Well, honey, let’s get married. It probably won’t work out, but we should at least give it a try for a year.” That’s the wrong attitude! The right attitude says, “Let’s get married for life and have a wonderful time together.”
Go into whatever you do expecting 100 percent. When people are sick, pray for them expecting healing. Will you experience success 100 percent of the time? Probably not, because we’re still living in this fallen world. But it’s okay to believe it is possible and to go for it!
When I invite people to come to Christ, I fully expect people to come to Christ. I do not visualize an empty altar. I fully expect people to be transformed by the Son of God. The world will never be drawn to Jesus, the lost will not seek Jesus, unless his followers radiate a joyous, confident, attitude of hope!
Some psychologists say it takes twenty-one days to change a habit. I want you to act as if nothing you do could possibly fail for the next twenty-one days. Some call it acting; I call it faith. Without Christ we can do nothing; through him we can do everything.

Dealing with the Absalom Spirit
The Absalom spirit has imported more hell to earth than anyone can imagine. I’ve ministered to many Christian leaders who have struggled to understand, “What’s going on here?” when they are facing an Absalom-like personality.
By far, the greatest confusion, chaos, and ministry pain come when these sincere pastors came face to face with an Absalom spirit.
This spirit brings chaos and confusion. The biblical story of Absalom is not a pretty one. Read about it in 2 Samuel 14-18.
Absalom is an imposter—a usurper
People who possess the Absalom spirit are typically frustrated with their lives, their ministries, or their perceived level in life.
They often search for value in personal pursuits rather than in God Himself and thus become like the man Solomon described.
Ecclesiastes 5:17 NLT
Throughout their lives, they live under a cloud—frustrated, discouraged, and angry.
They frequently imagine they deserve more recognition than what their achievements merit. (2 Samuel 18:18 AMPL)
Here are some Indicators of an Absalom Spirit:
Big dreams, but blame others, for blocking those dreams.
They feel their perceived level of wisdom is being ignored, or their super gifts are not being put to use.
They have false criteria—Absalom had a way of judging everything by his own criteria.
A modern Absalom gets offended at leadership, then, secretly arranges the subtle “execution” of the leader’s reputation, achievements, or integrity.
An Absalom spirit typically harbors camouflaged bitterness, unresolved offenses, disappointments, and anger.
An Absalom spirit thrives on hidden agendas, concealed strategies, and secret alliances.
Absalom is a master of manipulation and flattery.
Absalom feeds his followers with his fault-finding and critical spirit.
An Absalom spirit exhibits false humility, yet proudly believes he is wiser and better than the appointed leader. (2 Samuel 15:5)
When an Absalom spirit is at work in a church or business, you will notice turmoil, confusion, and will probably experience a twisted stomach and a bombardment of your thought life because of the demonic release an Absalom spirit.
St. Paul spoke of this rebellious spirit becoming more dominant as we approach the Lord’s coming.
2 Thessalonians 2:7 AMPL
For the mystery of lawlessness (that hidden principle of rebellion against constituted authority) is already at work in the world …
The Absalom spirit believes he can do your job better than you.
In time, the Absalom spirit maneuvers to demonize the leader, betraying him by killing his influence among as many followers as possible.
It sounds eerily similar to Lucifer’s betrayal of God, and his capturing the hearts of one-third of the angelic forces.
If you’re a pastor, leader, or business owner, you cannot coddle an unrepentant person who carries this Absalom spirit.
You cannot afford to leave an arrogant Absalom-type in any position of authority in your church or your business.
You want Jesus to have preeminence, not an Absalom spirit.

Break Down Strongholds
For many years I assumed that strongholds were build up by demons, and because I believed this I always prayed against demonic strongholds but in the past few years, I received a life-changing revelation from the Lord through His Word and through His Spirit that gave me the truth about strongholds.
It’s we ourselves who create and allow strongholds in our lives and these strongholds provide hiding places for demons to manipulate our lives our health our wealth and our future.
Maybe you’ve faced a stubborn barrier that seems to keep you from increase and advancement in life or what God has called you to—you need to break it down.
Break Strongholds Down
Strongholds are bastions, barriers, safe places for demons to hide behind and operate in our lives, families, churches, and businesses. Strongholds cannot be managed they must be demolished, and when you declare war against the strongholds in your life, you’re going to see a dramatic effect on your relationships your success your finances and your future.
1. Declare War on Strongholds
Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
2. Expose all areas of Darkness to the Lord
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
3. Align Your Life: Spirit, Soul, and Body
1 Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
4. Believe the Living Truth—Jesus Christ—has set you free!
John 8:36
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
5. Trust the Spirit of Truth (He knows where to “tinker” in your life)
1 Corinthians 2:12 NLT
And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.
6. Speak only The Truth of God’s Word
See Blog: Who Does God Say That I Am?
7. Get others free of strongholds
2 Corinthians 5:20
Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
God’s Goals:
Healed and free people
Healed and free marriages, families, and churches
Healed and free communities, territories, and cultures
Total Freedom, authority from the kingdom and in the kingdom to change twisted culture
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. [Greek: a past event with progressive effects; not completed effects].
2 Corinthians 3:18 (NKJV)
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 7:1 (NKJV)
Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Who Does God Say That I Am?
Here is a list of Biblical declarations about our identity in Jesus Christ from a few selected passages in the New Testament.
I am a child of God. But to all who have received him—those who believe in his name—he has given the right to become God’s children (John 1:12).
I am a branch of the true vine and a conduit of Christ’s life. I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener. I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me—and I in him—bears much fruit because apart from me you can accomplish nothing (John 15:1, 5).
I am a friend of Jesus. I no longer call you slaves, because the slave does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends because I have revealed to you everything I heard from my Father (John 15:15).
My old self was crucified with Christ, and I am no longer a slave to sin. We know that our old man was crucified with him so that the body of sin would no longer dominate us so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin (Romans 6:6).
I will not be condemned by God. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).
I have been set free from the law of sin and death. For the law of the life-giving Spirit in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2).
As a child of God, I am a fellow heir with Christ. And if children, then heirs (namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ)—if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him (Romans 8:17).
I have been accepted by Christ. Receive one another, then, just as Christ also received you, to God’s glory (Romans 15:7).
I have been called to be a saint. To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, and called to be saints, with all those in every place who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours (1 Corinthians 1:2). (See also Ephesians 1:1, Philippians 1:1, and Colossians 1:2.)
In Christ Jesus, I have wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. He is the reason you have a relationship with Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30).
My body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who dwells in me. Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you (1 Corinthians 6:19).
I am joined to the Lord and am one spirit with Him. But the one united with the Lord is one spirit with him (1 Corinthians 6:17).
God leads me in the triumph and knowledge of Christ. But thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and who makes known through us the fragrance that consists of the knowledge of him in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14).
The hardening of my mind has been removed in Christ. But their minds were closed. For to this very day, the same veil remains when they hear the old covenant read. It has not been removed because only in Christ is it taken away (2 Corinthians 3:14).
I am a new creature in Christ. So then, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; what is old has passed away—look, what is new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17).
I have become the righteousness of God in Christ. God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us so that in him we would become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21).
I have been made one with all who are in Christ Jesus. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female—for all of you are one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:28).
I am no longer a slave, but a child and an heir. So you are no longer a slave but a son, and if you are a son, then you are also an heir through God (Galatians 4:7).
I have been set free in Christ. For freedom, Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be subject again to the yoke of slavery (Galatians 5:1).
I have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).
I am chosen, holy, and blameless before God. For he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in his sight in love (Ephesians 1:4).
I am redeemed and forgiven by the grace of Christ. In him, we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace (Ephesians 1:7).
I have been predestined by God to obtain an inheritance. In Christ, we too have been claimed as God’s own possession, since we were predestined according to the one purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will (Ephesians 1:11).
I have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. And when you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation)—when you believed in Christ—you were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13).
Because of God’s mercy and love, I have been made alive with Christ. But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ—by grace, you are saved (Ephesians 2:4-5)!
I am seated in the heavenly places with Christ. And he raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6).
I am God’s workmanship created to produce good works. For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them. (Ephesians 2:10).
I have been brought near to God by the blood of Christ. But now in Christ Jesus, you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).
I am a member of Christ’s body and a partaker of His promise. The Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 3:6). (See also Ephesians 5:30.)
I have boldness and confident access to God through faith in Christ. In whom we have boldness and confident access to God because of Christ’s faithfulness (Ephesians 3:12).
My new self is righteous and holy. Put on the new man who has been created in God’s image—in righteousness and holiness that comes from truth (Ephesians 4:24).
I was formerly darkness, but now I am light in the Lord. For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! (Ephesians 5:8).
I am a citizen of heaven. But our citizenship is in heaven—and we also await a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20).
The peace of God guards my heart and mind. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
God supplies all my needs. And my God will supply your every need according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
I have been made complete in Christ. You have been filled in him, who is the head over every ruler and authority (Colossians 2:10).
I have been raised up with Christ. Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God (Colossians 3:1).
My life is hidden with Christ in God. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3).
Christ is my life, and I will be revealed with Him in glory. When Christ (who is your life) appears, then you too will be revealed in glory with him (Colossians 3:4).
I have been chosen of God, and I am holy and beloved. Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience (Colossians 3:12).
God loves me and has chosen me. We know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you (1 Thessalonians 1:4).
This is just a portion of the many truths about who we have become through faith in God’s Son, but it is a powerful inventory to review from time to time
