TAKE THE LIMITS OFF YOUR FUTURE (part 2)

Today is your day to take the brakes off your future and skyrocket into a life-changing, beautiful tomorrow.

Philippians 1:12-14 NLT

12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.

13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,

14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

Keys to a bright and meaningful future are summed up as:

No. 1 – Forsaking the Past

What do sad people have in common? It seems they have all built a shrine to the past and often go there. Living in the past brings a curse on your present and puts the brakes on your future.

No. 2 – Looking forward – Getting Your Vision from the Holy Spirit

Get a vision of the great future God has designed for you.  Learn to see what others do not.

Isaiah 43:18-19

18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

The power of your inner kingdom

Your Inner kingdom becomes your outer kingdom.  Everything begins in the invisible realm. You can encounter your invisible dream emerging into the natural physical realm with vision and action. (See Hebrews 11:3). For further study, check out the 8 part audio series Creating Your New Reality)

2 Corinthians 4:18

…We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Paul admonished us to look NOT at what we can see with our natural eyes but to see our future according to His plan and beautiful purpose.

SEE WHAT OTHERS DO NOT

In John 4:34, Jesus encouraged His disciples to see what others did not.  Meditate on that Scripture, and you’ll understand how Mount Hope Church grew from a small number to an international evangelistic force.  If you know your vision, God will provide your provision.

Do this:

1. Answer this question: What do you want? Sit before the Lord until you know the first part of His vision for your future.  See it with your faith eyes.  Use your sanctified imagination.  Or at least begin to make your list for the Lord.  He said,

“What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”  (Mark 11:24)

2. Can you list ten things you want in life? Do it now, even if it takes several hours. You won’t be sorry.  In the past 2.5 years, I have experienced five miraculous and prophetic experiences with the Savior.  Each session was the manifest presence of God like I had only known twice before.  Each changed something in me and gave me fresh assurance and empowerment for the days ahead.

The problem with most of us is that we are filled with overactivity. Rarely do we make time to relax before the Lord in quiet worship and gentle fellowship.

3. We begin getting a clearer vision as we wait before the Lord.

4. God’s master plan for your life is bigger than you can imagine or see with your natural eyes.

Mary Jo told me that Rick Joyner recently announced humbly that almost no believer is 100% walking in God’s will and enjoying all God intended for them.  Rick said the Lord showed him that he was only about 20% there himself.  Phew … I thought, “God forgive me.  I must only be about 8% in God’s perfect will and now enjoying only a fraction of all God intended for me.”  Sadly, most Christians are living at about 1-2% or less. I’ve seen some social media posts from professing Christians that make me think they have no regard for what’s on God’s heart.  Let’s get in harmony with God’s Spirit and get His vision.

Make your list for the Lord today, and He’ll eliminate some of your items, enhance some, and add others to your list.

We’ll continue this message next month and discuss pressing into our faith goals, which will carry us into our bright and beautiful future.

TAKE THE LIMITS OFF YOUR FUTURE

Today is your day! Get ready for a launch forward and upward. Right now, the Holy Spirit and I will show you how to take the brakes off your life and be catapulted into a bright and amazing future. Let’s see what Paul said in Philippians, chapter one:

Philippians 1:12-14 NLT

12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for whichChrist Jesus first possessed me.

13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,

14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

Paul said, “This One Thing”: Then He listed three things. All three must be activated to make it work successfully.

No. 1 – Forsake the PastNo. 2 – Look forwardNo. 3 – Press on to Reach the Goal

Let’s look at the first of three things that make up one plan for catapulting you into a bright and amazing future.

No. 1 – Drop The Curse Of Trying To Live In The Past

We are here on earth passing through time. In time, there are three categories: Past, Present, and Future. It is, in reality, impossible to live in the past, just as it is impossible to live in the future. We can only live in the present. If you’re living with resentments, guilt, and regrets then you’re essentially living in the past and you’re not experiencing today.

What do sad people have in common? It seems they have all built a shrine to the past and often go there.

Living in the past makes you a prisoner. “What is it about your past that keeps you tethered?

Regrets?Failures?Sins?Hurts?Successes?Relationships?Whatever …!

Living in the past brings a curse on your present and puts the brakes on your future. Living in the past freezes you in time (you do not change, so others do not change, in our mind).

Living in the past means you’re out of control. Since you have no control over the past, if you live there, you are out of control, so you must accept whatever comes along in life. Living in the past may make a good country and western album, it’s a bad strategy for life.

A person can never be successful or happy by sitting around bemoaning or regretting the past once again, Living in the past brings a curse on your present and puts the brakes on your future.

St. Paul said to forget those things that are behind us. In the Greek language, it means “Lose or drop from your thinking or deliberately neglect – forsaking those things which are in the past). Jesus said, “No man having put his hand to the plow and looking back is fit for the Kingdom.”

Quote: “Losers live in the past; Winners learn from the past and enjoyworking in the present toward the future.” ~ Dr. Denis Waitley

Maybe you were a victim of abuse, mistreatment, abandonment, rejection, or betrayal. You think nobody knows how bad you hurt. It DOES hurt.

But Jesus experienced all these things for you (Isaiah 53) and can turn them all around if you will forgive the one who offended or violated you, and press on with Jesus. “One reason God created time was so that there would be a place to bury the failures of the past.”

Doris Wagner, who enjoyed a powerful ministry of deliverance, said that more demonic activity is attracted by developing the victim mentality over something in their past than just about anything else. The past can only be forsaken by reaching forth to what lies ahead in Christ Jesus.

Jephath was an unwanted, child born out of a sin committed by his mother and whoever his father was. He made no excuses, he forgot his past, and went on to become a great leader and hero. (Joshua 11:11)

Peter failed the Lord but bounced back. You can too!

What do sad people have in common? It seems they have all built a shrine to the past and often go there.

When I served as a regent at North Central University, I met Tom Skinner, the former leader of a black gang in Harlem. Trapped by his environment; his future was determined by an attitude passed on to him by others, headed for prison or death, like all the others. Then one day he heard a man on the radio named Billy Graham and prayed the prayer of salvation. He gave up his past and became one of the greatest thinkers of our day, and pressed on to help countless tens of thousands not let their past determine their futures.

Conclusion

Don’t let your past dictate what your future will be. Jesus knows how to take your past hurts and messes and turn them into today’s and tomorrow’s miracles! Stay tuned for the next post.

Is America still “The land of the free and the home of the Brave?”

By Mary Jo Williams (Dave asked me to write this month’s article since he is preaching in Florida)

Those, of course, are lyrics from our national anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner, written by Francis Scott Key.

With the Fourth of July right around the corner, we wonder, ‘What is happening to the land that we love so much?’

Have we, “The Church,” allowed doors to be opened that are attracting so much of what can only be described as “enemy infiltration?”

With the silencing of common-sense voices by the American Media…

The exploiting of young children…Widespread production of pornography…Thousands of deaths by fentanyl use and other drugs…The breakdown of the traditional family…And now the move toward a global government and a digital dollar……and the list could go on and on.

This is NOT the picture that God intended for our wonderful nation.

Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Have we abdicated the high position to which God has called us? The battle is certainly raging now for the very soul of our Nation. I am very concerned!!!!

Edmond Burke said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”

Let that not be so of us! But what can we do?

WHAT CAN WE DO?First: We must Realize who our real enemy is. (Ephesians 6:12)

Remember that we are fighting spirits in the unseen world and not against flesh and blood. We must use spiritual weapons of war—tools like intercessory prayer. (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

Second: Realize Who we are as a Church, and who you are as a believer and follower of Jesus.

We are the mighty Spirit-filled Church of God. And you, as a believer are God’s ambassador on Earth who represents the Kingdom of Heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:20
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Be fully convinced that you are here at “such a time as this” on purpose with a great purpose” and thoroughly believe that you have ALL the resources needed to wage a very successful warfare!

Now that’s exciting! Look what Jesus said about our authority in Matthew 18:

Matthew 18:18-19
18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Know this: You are the righteousness of God in Christ! (Philippians 3:9)

Third: You and I must be prepared.

Don’t allow the devil’s taunts to make you feel worthless and fragile.

You are strong and mighty.

You are the devil’s worst nightmare because God has given you and all genuine believers His authority to use His weapons on the Earth. (Luke 10:19, Ephesians 6:10)

My friend and partner, be strong and put on the full armor of God as Ephesians 6 tells us. (Ephesians 6:13)

Please read through verse 18 that tells you all about the armor that you’re to wear! Child of God, you are mighty and called to pull down strongholds in the lives of people in the grasp of the enemy’s lies and propaganda. We really can stop the infiltration of evil into this nation.

Dave’s ministry friend, Hugh Rosenburg, pastored a great church in Cincinnati years ago and became concerned about the impact of smut on the community. He prayed, enlisted intercessors, and followed the Holy Spirit’s instructions. All pornography became illegal in the city.

Fourth: One of the most powerful tools we have for winning is our tongue? How are we using our tongues; our words. (Proverbs 18:21)

In the beginning, God spoke and created the heavens and the earth. Dave has a teaching series that repeatedly says, “Words create.” We are creating with our words! Are we creating life or death? (Matthew 17:20)

Let’s use our God-given voice to announce, say, pray, and declare what we are believing for America:

That America will be one Nation Under GodThat America will fulfill her DestinyThat America will be a nation filled with God’s Presence, Glory, and PowerThat America will be a safe and healthy dwelling place for our
children and grandchildrenThat Righteousness and godliness will prevail in our nationThat brotherly kindness is exhibited everywhere That family’s in America will encounter God’s healing love

Let’s believe for a beautiful healthy America where it’s safe to walk down the streets alone, and where homes don’t need protection from invaders.

We are very aware of what’s going on in our Nation, but let’s not echo the enemy but rather echo God’s Word. (Psalm 33:12)

“Oh, Father, we cry out with One Voice that your healing will flow through our land, bringing peace, joy, freedom, and deliverance from evil.”

Our words and prayers Make a difference.

Don’t allow your voice to be silenced. Join thousands of other believers crying out to God day and night, and let’s believe that our Nation will be restored. Do it for your children and grandchildren. Let’s believe for a great turnaround! (2 Chronicles 7:14)

God’s Everyday Miracles … Streaming Through You!

How would you like to be a partner with God in performing miracles today? You probably know somebody right now who needs a miracle. Maybe that somebody is you!

Jesus was speaking to His disciples, telling them about the Holy Spirit and how His power will work through them. Here’s what Jesus said:

You Shall Do Greater Works!

John 14:11-13

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it.

Miracles Are Important

Miracles are important. Miracles give us evidence of God’s victory over Satan. (Luke 11:14–23). Miracles demonstrate the amazing scope of God’s power and show His authority over demons, sickness, disease, nature, and even death (Luke 8:22–56).

Miracles are happening all around us all the time. I saw young lady recently who had no family and no friends … until she met Jesus at Mount Hope Church. Now she has more friends and “family members” than anyone could dream of.

Miracles are Happening Today

Miracles are happening today in schools, neighborhoods, and the marketplace. I have seen addicts miraculously delivered instantly from alcohol and drugs because someone prayed a miracle prayer with them.

Luke 1:37
For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Matthew 17:20
… I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

NOT SO “TERMINAL” AFTER ALL

I remember an older gentleman (I’ll call him ‘Howard’) who was in the final stages of his life (he was told that he was “terminal” and would die soon.) Howard was a regular listener of my daily radio show (The Pastor’s Minute” on WITL and eventually other syndicated outlets) and he told a friend that he’d like to meet me. Meeting Dave Williams was on his bucket list.

My wife and I went up to the hospital 40 miles from our office. I knocked on his door, called his name, and said, “It’s Pastor Dave from the radio.” His family invited us in and Howard was shocked and overjoyed that I was there to pray for him and believe God for a miracle. It was difficult for Howard to talk, but we chatted the best we could while Mary Jo made sure his whole family knew Jesus. The dear man was very thin, almost emaciated, and there were all kinds of IVs poking into his bruised arms. I knelt beside his bed and spoke out in the name [authority] of Jesus Christ, commanding the cancer to leave and asking Father God to provide His healing love to this man. The family thanked us and we left.

About six months later I walked by our reception area at Mount Hope Church and noticed a man I didn’t recognize standing there. He looked at me and seemed speechless. Finally, he walked over to me and burst out with these words: “If anyone tells you that they don’t believe in miracles, have them call me.” Suddenly, I recognized this was the man I prayed for in the hospital. Now a healthy-looking man, no longer withered from disease. He reached out and hugged me, and with tears in his eyes whispered, “Thank you, thank you.” It was a miracle!

Miracles happen. And they can happen in times of inconvenience … if you’ll make yourself available to partner with God

Are you willing to be a conduit for miracles? Are you willing to exercise your faith for miracles? Are you willing to take God at His Word, and step out and release His healing love into others? Will you join hand-in-hand with The Lord to be a part of the “greater things” He spoke of in the Bible?

God Chooses You!

God is Almighty. Yet He chooses to use people like you who will believe His Word and act on that Word. God is moved by our faith. Read how many times a person was healed in the Gospels and Jesus said, “Your faith has made you whole.” (Matthew 9:22; Matthew 15:28; Mark 5:34; Mark 10:52; Luke 8:48)

We are getting close to the Coming of Jesus for His Church. The Holy Spirit is pouring out His power on believers who will take action now. God chose YOU to do “greater things.” I’d love to meet you at one of our seminars or schools at The Center for Pacesetting Leadership. Many supernatural courses are coming up soon. Meanwhile, walk with Jesus and allow Him to work through you. He chooses YOU!

Miracles are Aimed at You NOW!

Cheryl Salem wrote a song years ago entitled, “Don’t Let Your Miracle Pass You By.” In the song, she says, “Miracles are aimed at you.”

My dear partner, miracles are aimed at you at this moment. Don’t let them pass you by! Lay your life before the Lord Jesus and put your faith on the line of His Word.

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Mark 16:17-18
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

And always remember the words of Jesus: “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do.” Ask God now how He wants to use you to bring His love and miracles to others.

WHAT’S ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?

Do you remember the movie called the “Bucket List” starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman? It was a story about making and acting on a list of things to do before you die. There is a book entitled A Hundred Things to Do Before You Die. Now, since the movie, I understand there are 70 more books published with that title by different authors. For example:

100 Things to Do in Richmond Before You Die by Annie Tobey100 Things to Do in America Before You Die by Bill Clevlen100 Things to Do in Ohio’s Amish Country Before You Die by Brandy Gleason

Now, this next title is very interesting:

100 Things to Do Before You Die (Plus a Few to Do Afterwards) by Patrick Moore (Contributor), & 11 more

Hmmmmm. Now … I wonder what “the few to do afterwards” are? I guess it depends on what your address is “afterwards.” Hang with me, and I’ll show you how to be sure your address is heaven rather than that other pitiful hopeless place.

Where’s Your List?

Where’s your list? That was the title of one of my final messages as pastor of Mount Hope Church after 31+ years (I served a year with Pastor Glenn Snook and 30 and a half years as pastor.) Where is your list? All through the Bible, it seems as though God is repeatedly asking us that question: “Where’s Your List?” For example, in Jeremiah 33:3,

God says, “Call to me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.” (The Message)

Where’s Your List?Where’s your list of things you want to know that you cannot figure out?Where’s your list of things you want?Where’s your list of things you want to achieve in your life?

It’s better to have a list of 100 things and only realize 94 of them before you leave the earth than to have nothing on your list and achieve everything on it, which is nothing.

Matthew 7:7
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you

Mark 11:24
… I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Psalm 2:8 ESV
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.

Where’s Your List?

Faith is the substance of the things you hope for and acts as evidence that what you hope for will appear in due season (Hebrews 11:1). Have you articulated the things you hope for? Where’s Your list? Many of God’s children do not realize that they can partner with God for all kinds of miracles and achievements. God wants to work with us (Mark 16:20).

I hope the very first thing on your bucket list is to develop an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, God’s son. He died for you on the cross and wants to give you the power to do greater things than you’ve ever imagined.

You can be a partner with God in miracles. Why not make a list of the things you want, and how you want God to use you before you go to heaven? Do it Now!

Positioning Yourself for The Financial Re-Alignment

Are you struggling with the staggering inflation we are encountering these days?

Hyperinflation in Germany brought a murderous maniac, Adolf Hitler to power. He convinced the masses that the Nazi party was the solution to Germany’s financial problems. Sixty-some years later Hugo Chavez convinced enough people in Venezuela that they were victims of big companies and wealthy elites and socialism was the answer.

In just a few short years after implementing a system that has never worked the way they promised, Venezuela, a prosperous country, like the USA, became like a third-world country with massive poverty and hunger. I know people from Venezuela who say they feel trapped in “hell.”

Socialism is a trap. The Bible Condemns and prohibits socialism. Socialism makes the government your god. Jesus warned of great deception in the last days. False leaders try to convince individuals that they are victims. They try to persuade people to believe they are entitled. This mentality clears the path to evil socialism.

Evil leaders convince the poor and middle class that companies and the rich should be taxed more to provide government entitlements to “the people.” Seems good at first. Then, companies go out of business, people go hungry, and death is everywhere. Once you see yourself as a victim, or if you believe you are entitled, you will be more likely to bite the bait, and become trapped in a system that has never succeeded; a system that has brought nothing but heartache, poverty, hunger, imprisonment and death.

Does God have a Plan for Your Financial Freedom?

Good News for God’s people: God has a plan for your financial freedom. If you follow it carefully, you will take the first steps to being positioned for the coming Great Financial Re-Alignment (which has probably already begun!)

There’s Always Enough of Everything you Need When God is Your Source

In Exodus 35-40, when Moses was raising money for the Tabernacle, He raised over $68 million in two days (in today’s money).

While cleaning the house, I found a pile of old files I had saved from my time as pastor of Mount Hope Church. The annual report from 2008 reminded me that our budget was $12 million that year, but because of the real estate “bubble bursting” and the stock market “crash” only $8.9 million came into the church treasury. Yet despite being short by over $3 million:

All the bills were paid on time. All the staff and employees were paid.Nobody had to be laid off.We still somehow had $2 million in reserve.Plus, we somehow had $500,000 extra left over after everything was paid.

Many other churches and businesses were hurting, but we were prospering, even though we dropped way below what we had projected for the year.

How does this kind of thing happen? God was our Source. We had always put missions first, and the things that were on God’s heart. We never cheated another human being and we were generous to our guest ministers and speakers. We kept our ministry and missionary promises and honored God. (Matt. 6:33)

When God is Your Source, and you know how to believe for INCREASE, you’ll never lack or beg for bread. (Psalm 37:5)

The Blessing of Christ’s Body

St. Paul likened the church to a body, with Jesus Christ as the head. To be part of Christ’s body, you have to come to the head, who is Jesus. But then you naturally and necessarily become a part of the body. It’s impossible to be committed to the head but not the body. No groom commits himself only to the bride’s head but to her whole body. You are in love with a whole person. (Romans 12:5, 1 Corinthians 12:27)

1 Corinthians 12:12
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

Jesus is connected to His body, and His body is connected to Him. We express our connection to Him by being part of a local church where we partner together for the sake of missions, evangelism, and making disciples. Then we go on to the next stage of growth in the church and become a mentor, a disciple maker, and a teacher.

There is no safer place to be than to be a part of a local body of believers committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It’s safer than any safety deposit box or safe house.

Truth Illustrated – Plane Without Wings?

While in flight school years ago, I became good friends with my flight instructor, Bill, a wonderful man, then in his seventies. He was like my adopted dad away from home. One time I went back to Tulsa to see him. We went to Tony Roma’s for dinner, and as we were coming out I asked, “How are things going over at the church?” He was silent. His wife, Lois, put her hands on her hips and said, “You tell him, Bill.” Bill bowed his head and softly answered, “Dave, I quit going to church. They canceled the aviation ministry because the insurance was too high. I got upset and left. But don’t worry—I’m still committed to Christ.”

Now it was my turn to teach him. I came back with an answer, “Suppose we wanted to fly around for a while, so we went out to the airport, opened up the hangar and there was a beautiful plane engine. It was well-oiled, the shiniest, best plane engine that you’ve ever seen. It had the prettiest propeller on it, but no wings, no tail, no fuselage. How high do you think we would fly?”

He responded, “I think I get your point.”

Can You Be Committed to Christ but Not His Body?

You cannot simply be committed to Christ without being committed to His body, any more than you can commit to flying an airplane with just an engine and no wings, tail, or fuselage.

When we turn from sin and turn to Jesus Christ, we’re born into the Church of Jesus Christ. But now, we must also be committed to and identified with a local expression of Christ’s body.  Becoming rooted in a local church is a visible expression of our invisible identification with Christ.

No church is perfect. I learned that a long time ago. One of the reasons no church you attend will ever be perfect is because you’re in it! As long as the Church is on earth, you will never find a perfect one. But you need to find a church where Christ is exalted, the Holy Spirit has freedom, God’s Word is preached uncompromisingly, and you can get your roots down deep.

Make this year your year to fully commit to your local church, and watch the blessings begin to flow to… and from YOU!

Rest From the Fear of Death

Have you ever listened to John Michael Talbot’s singing? He inspires me! I was listening to his music a few weeks ago as I was getting ready for an appointment, and I just had to burst out in joyful tears as he sang “Be Not Afraid.”

You shall cross the barren desert
But you shall not die of thirst
You shall wander far in safety
Though you do not know the way
You shall speak your words in foreign lands
And all will understand
You shall see the face of God and live

Be not afraid
I go before you … always
Come follow me …
And I will give you rest

I think I was a bit emotional at the time. I said “Farewell” to people I was close to and loved and was having tenderhearted, but painful memories. When John Michael sang these words, something struck me like a jolt from heaven and I began to bubble over with joy like I hadn’t experienced in quite a while. Jesus went before us and beat death. He really did. He was a first fruit of sorts and, through death, traveled to the world beyond and then came back in His Resurrection. “Come follow Me, and I will give you rest.”

1 Corinthians 15:20

But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep [died].

What do non-Christian religions say about Christ’s Resurrection? Islam says God would never die for humanity because it’s not in His nature. Some scientists say the Resurrection is a fable. Atheists say the disciples were victims of mass delusion and were just hallucinating. Yet five hundred people saw Jesus alive after he was certified as being dead. Could all 500 have encountered the same hallucination at the same time?

1 Corinthians 15:6 NKJV

After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.

Christianity is the only faith in the world with a God who became one of us, died for us, rose from the dead, and is alive right now! The Resurrection is the foundation of the Christian faith because if He rose from the dead as He promised, then we know that He’s going to keep all His other promises including the promise of the personal resurrection of those in Christ who have died. At the coming of Jesus for His people, we who are alive will be caught up while the dead in Christ will be resurrected and we will all be simultaneously “metamorphosed.” We will no longer be subject to a certain space, and no longer missing our loved ones who have gone before us. What a day that will be!

John 11:25 NKJV

Jesus said …, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

1 Corinthians 15:51-55 NKJV

51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—

52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

55 “O Death, where is your sting?

O Hades, where is your victory?”

This event is coming sooner than anyone can comprehend. Now is the time to shout it from the rooftops that Jesus Christ is coming to claim His flock, just before the world’s greatest hour of torment, anguish, distress and tribulation the world has ever experienced. (Matthew 24:21).

Jesus gave an illustration about how it will be when He comes to rescue His “Bride,” (the Church). The Bridegroom comes, but only half of those who believe they are part of the “Bride of Christ,” actually go with Him. When Jesus gave this message, He clearly said, “They that were ready went in.”

Matthew 24:44 NKJV

Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

If you don’t realize how close we are to His Coming and our Resurrection, I suggest you get a copy of my book, Hope in the Last Days. You will see the stage-setting previews of what’s to come soon. Eschatological (end-time) signs are now on fast-forward, popping up on every turn. Please, tell people fearlessly that Jesus is coming back. The Roman soldiers did not expect him to come back from the dead. The fake religious leaders did everything they could to prevent it. But what God says He’s going to do … He always does. Do you know someone today who is not ready to meet the Lord?

Maybe you are their key person.

Is God Calling YOU to a Prophetic Ministry?

Have you ever wished you could hear God’s Voice more clearly? Have you ever wanted to have a supernatural encounter where God would show you something you could never have figured out on your own?

Jeremiah 33:3 AMP
‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.’

John 10:27-28
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me

Have you ever thought you’d like to sit down with Jesus Himself, ask Him a dozen or more important questions … and have Him answer you?

It’s possible. Yes, it IS possible.

When I first visited Ron and Jennifer Eivaz at Harvest Church in California, I learned about Jen’s “Seer’s Institute.” That was something new to me. Some of my intercessors attended at least a couple of the classes, and others took her online mentorship course.

I originally met Pastor Ron and Jen about 15 years ago when they scheduled a breakfast appointment with me in Los Angeles the morning after I had ministered at the famous Angelus Temple with Pastors Tommy and Matthew Barnett. Ron said he had known me for years through my tape sets (remember tapes?) and they helped him get through some tough times during the early years of pastoring what now has become one of California’s leading churches. They presented me with a book signed personally for me by the author, Bill Johnson, about dreaming with God.

Dreaming with God. What a concept. God has always wanted us to dream with Him and work with Him to achieve His purposes on Earth.

Mark 16:20
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

I miss Dr. Jack Van Impe’s morning calls to me. He would often call me early in the morning to let me know what the Holy Spirit was saying to him that day. I can still hear his enthusiastic, excited voice, “Oh Dave, the Holy Spirit woke me up at four o’clock this morning, and wait ‘til you hear what He said to me …” And then, he’d tell me.

I have always believed in the prophetic realm. I could not have overseen a megachurch, 43 daughter and satellite churches, our multiple mission ministries, our Bible Training Institute, Church Planter’s School, and Gilead Healing Center without understanding at least something about engaging the prophetic realm of God’s voice. I needed the discerning of spirits, words of knowledge, prophetic words, and words of wisdom.

Since my first meeting with Pastor Ron and Jen in Los Angeles, and subsequently ministering at Harvest Church many times, I have taken a quantum leap into the realm of God’s Spirit by actually ‘dreaming with God,’ encountering His Voice more clearly … and now training others in how to ENGAGE the PROPHETIC REALM for themselves.

Are you desiring a fresh dimension of intimacy with God? If so, you’ll be interested in The Center for Pacesetting Leadership’s upcoming School for Today’s Prophets and Seers. You will learn what Jesus meant when He said to the Churches of Revelation, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith…”

Right now, make a list of questions you have for the Lord. He wants to answer you. But you must know how to discern His voice. Jesus is looking for people like YOU to become more prophetic than ever. Time is running out rapidly now. Let’s walk together in the Spirit of Christ, and the realm of the prophetic. Christ’s coming is imminent! The hour is late.

Psalm 32:8-9
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you

Isaiah 30:21
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

Mark 4:24
And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you.

1,000 Times More in 2024!

What if I could show you a simple act of faith that could cause your productivity to soar by 100 to 1,000 times more? God is glorified in our productivity, make your plans to become more productive and set some BIG FAITH GOALS for the New Year.

John 15:8
Herein Is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

Stop and think for a moment about all the dreams you used to have. What stopped you from dreaming?

You were ordained by God to bring forth massive productivity, and Jesus promised that whatsoever you ask the Father in His Name, he may give it to you

John 15:16
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

It seems that God is watching for our fruit so He can answer our prayers. Someone may say that’s legalistic. But remember, we can only achieve fruit by abiding in Christ. That’s intimacy, not legalism. We have a role to play in our harvest, our growth, and our increase.

In fact, the word “fruitfulness” in the Hebrew language (Old Testament) literally means “increase and growth.” And fruit in the Greek language (New Testament) means, “goods, production, harvest, yield, and gathering.”

Are you a business person? Be fruitful. Sell! Promote! Multiply.

Are you a pastor? Grow, grow, grow. Reap and increase. Jesus cautioned:

John 15:4
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

We can become outstandingly productive only when we are abiding in Christ, the Vine.

When I learned this rare secret about setting faith goals, it radically transformed my life, ministry, family, income, charitable giving, and personal net assets. It helped me understand that it’s just as easy for God to send hundreds and thousands as it is for Him to send ones and tens. Our church grew exponentially when I began to practice setting faith goals. I began to walk in God’s increase and growth.

Our little church had never given more than $35,000 to missions in any given year. That was it! So, I set a faith goal of giving $1,000,000 to missions every year and a target date to begin. Like a miracle, it happened one year before I had planned! When I left the pastorate after more than 30 years, our church was giving over $3,000,000 a year to missions. A CPA verified that over 30 years, our church had given more than $40,000,000 to mission projects and ministries worldwide. God works with you when you express faith through setting faith goals.

The practice of setting faith goals is rooted in God’s Word, so it works!

The number one reason why people don’t have what they want is because they don’t know what they want. Most people have never intentionally articulated their dreams and aspirations or the things they want. But once you learn what my students have learned in my Faith Goals Seminar and Workshop, you will see your life—step-by-step—becoming more extraordinary, fulfilled, and possibly skyrocketing to new dimensions of productivity.

Designing an Exceptional Life

Setting faith goals is a practice of cooperating with the Divine. It’s partnering with God to design an exceptional life. A faith goal will give focus to your faith (Hebrews 11:3).

In 2024, you’re going to do something failures never do. Fruitless, unproductive people, even though loved by God, hardly ever take the time to establish any faith goals. I guess it never occurs to them that faith is what pleases God (Hebrews 11:6). Have they forgotten that faith is the substance of the things you hope for? Has it ever dawned on them to believe Jesus when he said, “What things soever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them?” (Mark 11:24)

The Indiana District Superintendent realized the amazing growth of those who set faith goals, so he invited me to come down to talk to the states’ key leaders and coach them in setting faith goals for their churches and ministries. And I never felt the presence of God so strongly as in those Indiana meetings.

Faith Goals are micro-steps that take you forward toward your macro-picture; the vision or dream God has put in your heart. Get started right now in designing your 2024 and beyond. Say it out loud: “1000 times more in 2024!”

The Faith Goals Seminar and Workshop on January 20 may be the supernatural tool God uses to radically upgrade and enlarge your performance and launch you into fresh dimensions of influence and fulfillment. John O’Leary, Jason Rodgers, and I will be your coaches. Learn more here.

Just as a jet fighter is catapulted off an aircraft carrier, I believe your life is being positioned to catapult to a new level of intimacy with God, creativity, and high-level achievement in 2024.
