TAKE THE LIMITS OFF YOUR FUTURE (part 2)

Today is your day to take the brakes off your future and skyrocket into a life-changing, beautiful tomorrow.

Philippians 1:12-14 NLT

12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.

13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,

14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

Keys to a bright and meaningful future are summed up as:

No. 1 – Forsaking the Past

What do sad people have in common? It seems they have all built a shrine to the past and often go there. Living in the past brings a curse on your present and puts the brakes on your future.

No. 2 – Looking forward – Getting Your Vision from the Holy Spirit

Get a vision of the great future God has designed for you.  Learn to see what others do not.

Isaiah 43:18-19

18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

The power of your inner kingdom

Your Inner kingdom becomes your outer kingdom.  Everything begins in the invisible realm. You can encounter your invisible dream emerging into the natural physical realm with vision and action. (See Hebrews 11:3). For further study, check out the 8 part audio series Creating Your New Reality)

2 Corinthians 4:18

…We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Paul admonished us to look NOT at what we can see with our natural eyes but to see our future according to His plan and beautiful purpose.

SEE WHAT OTHERS DO NOT

In John 4:34, Jesus encouraged His disciples to see what others did not.  Meditate on that Scripture, and you’ll understand how Mount Hope Church grew from a small number to an international evangelistic force.  If you know your vision, God will provide your provision.

Do this:

1. Answer this question: What do you want? Sit before the Lord until you know the first part of His vision for your future.  See it with your faith eyes.  Use your sanctified imagination.  Or at least begin to make your list for the Lord.  He said,

“What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”  (Mark 11:24)

2. Can you list ten things you want in life? Do it now, even if it takes several hours. You won’t be sorry.  In the past 2.5 years, I have experienced five miraculous and prophetic experiences with the Savior.  Each session was the manifest presence of God like I had only known twice before.  Each changed something in me and gave me fresh assurance and empowerment for the days ahead.

The problem with most of us is that we are filled with overactivity. Rarely do we make time to relax before the Lord in quiet worship and gentle fellowship.

3. We begin getting a clearer vision as we wait before the Lord.

4. God’s master plan for your life is bigger than you can imagine or see with your natural eyes.

Mary Jo told me that Rick Joyner recently announced humbly that almost no believer is 100% walking in God’s will and enjoying all God intended for them.  Rick said the Lord showed him that he was only about 20% there himself.  Phew … I thought, “God forgive me.  I must only be about 8% in God’s perfect will and now enjoying only a fraction of all God intended for me.”  Sadly, most Christians are living at about 1-2% or less. I’ve seen some social media posts from professing Christians that make me think they have no regard for what’s on God’s heart.  Let’s get in harmony with God’s Spirit and get His vision.

Make your list for the Lord today, and He’ll eliminate some of your items, enhance some, and add others to your list.

We’ll continue this message next month and discuss pressing into our faith goals, which will carry us into our bright and beautiful future.
