Are Mormon Women Oppressed?


I had an interesting book signing last night. I was at the Orem Costco, sitting right across the aisle from the Jello chocolate mousse. I'd eaten dinner, but the visual of all that food was making me hungry again. Otherwise . . . I had some very interesting conversations with people about the Book of Mormon, etc. The most interesting conversation was when a woman rushed up to me. She had seen my poster at the front door of Costco. It turns out she was looking for a book on "Muslim" women...

Brainstorming AMMON and this week's schedule


Ammon Update: I'm about 120 pages into drafting my next book: AMMON. He's a compelling character to write about. I'd love to hear your comments about what you find most significant about Ammon's character. I think it's remarkable that he'd give up his kingship to be a missionary in enemy territory.

Questions I'm working on:
1. Do you think those he "slayed" with the slingshot were killed or just injured? Or was the only person he mortally wounded the leader of the Lamanite band?

THANKS Everyone!

Today Mormon Times reported that Women of the Book of Mormon climbed to #2 Bestseller on the Deseret Book Top Ten bestsellers list.
A big thank you to my blog followers for the reviews and word of mouth.
My editor told me that the book is going into a 2nd printing.
Below, I included a picture of my editor (Eliza) so she can get some credit. We are posing at the Whitney Gala that was this past weekend. Also, in the red dress is Danyelle Ferguson, who has her first book coming out in June...
