2008 Whitney Awards--Pretty darn amazing

Saturday night, ABINADI won the Whitney Award for Best Historical. This is me during my "acceptance speech." I had read all of the books that I was up against and loved them all. I wouldn't have been surprised if any one of them won. But I was surprised when it was my book that won. I told the audience that when my 14-year old son read it, he was mad.
