Tremors: Nice Set Up of Series

Hmmmm...
I'm not the fantasy type of reader, but Ms. Calhoun has crafted an interesting tidbit to launch her new series. My mind flashed back to the rite of passage endured by Katniss Everdeen, narrator of The Hunger Games trilogy. Nice set up for Thunder, whose first chapter is included here. I don't think I'm done with the Chavez Clan just yet. Intriguing intro to the series.

Word Jumble Game/ARC Contest
October 1, 2015...????? Word Scramble/ARC Contest
5/19/15: Word #1: FO = OF
5/20/15: Word #2: NEOXIPTOARL = EXPLORATION
5/21/15: Word #3: ARMDA = DRAMA
5/22/15: Word #4: EARDUVTNE = ADVENTURE
5/27/15: Word #5: NA = AN
5/29/15: Word #6: DAN = AND
5/30/15: Word #7: IPCE = EPIC
The classic, a long classic for the time and even today that clocks in at over two and a half hours. I think it was only about two years ago that I first saw it. Very interesting in its ideas but the pacing is slow for most of today's audiences I think. But very interesting nonetheless.
For now, Puzzle #6 is the last Word Scramble/ARC Contest for a bit as other interesting ideas percolate and manifest for the fall event. Perhaps the second round of puzzles will manifest later in the summer. Thanks to all who participated.

Cold Lick Paperback
Today's the day for the Cold Lick paperback release, but due to a major-minor change, it's delayed until tomorrow or Saturday depending upon how quickly my online retailers process the transactions. However, the Cold Lick e-book is now released for $2.99 at Smashwords.com.

Okay, the last word in the first puzzle that relates to the above headline posted on Saturday April 11. For those who didn’t know about the word puzzle game, it all relates to a fall book release hence the October 1, 2015 reference. The solved puzzles are all artistic titles that give clues pertaining to the book. This week I wanted to wait for no more than a week to gauge interest, see who qualified for the ARC contest and either interest or no, reveal the final solution. All of this transpires on my website at www.cortezlaw.net. To make this easier for the group, I can post the word of the day for each puzzle under this post heading to save the members time. This is fun for all I believe and as I said, gives insight into what’s coming this autumn. The next puzzle will probably be next Monday depending upon involvement/winner selection this week.
