Read 7 Pages of the BALLISTIC collection at Vulture.Com
an Insane Comic About Designer Viruses and Talking Guns
“Comics and graphic novels have a proud tradition of gleeful sci-fi insanity. It’s been there from the absurd Batman adventures of the 1950s, through to the over-the-top British dystopias of the 1980s, and it’s alive and well in Ballistic. This graphic novel is the latest release from indie publisher Black Mask Studios, drawn by superstar comics artist Darick Robertson (best known for his work on Transmetropolitan, Happy!, and The Boys) and written by relative newcomer Adam Egypt Mortimer. It hits stands tomorrow.”

BALLISTIC the Collection Hits Stores April 22nd!
This Wednesday, grab the collected BALLISTIC from Black Mask Studios! The original 5 issues aer hard to find, so if you missed your chance, and like my work, don’t miss it!
Written by Adam Egypt Mortimer and Co-created by yours truly, Ballistic is a mad ride into a future where technology isn’t just useful, it’s companionship.
But don’t just take my word for it!
Bloody Disgusting says: ”…it’s unlike anything you’ve experienced before.” and “Darick Robertson’s art is nothing short of incredible. The depth to which he evokes this world is almost staggering. Robertson’s depiction of these biotechnological creations is so unique and beautiful. Everything has the disgusting feeling that it is real and breathing.”

And some more love:
“A mind-bending vision of a gloriously sick future, and Darick Robertson’s best work yet.” – Gary Whitta, Screenwriter (Book of Eli, Walking Dead game, upcoming Star Wars stand alone film)
“Ballistic is such an original world. I haven’t seen bio-tech done this well since Cronenberg’s ’Existenz’. And come on, the main character’s best friend is his gun? And the gun is a wise ass? I was in immediately.” – Adam McKay, Writer- Director
‘Insane! Kinetic! Violent! Hilarious! Detailed! Gory! Itchy! Ballistic is badass, man! This is my kinda book, my kinda trip!’ - Jim Mahfood (Grrl Scouts, Tank Girl, Clerks)
“I bought this as soon as it came out. What’s your problem? Ballistic is just wonderful in every way. For me, the real treat was being able to witness the best work Darick Robertson has done in his career, which is no small feat. Get ready to go on the sci-fi ride of your life. I wish more comics took risks like Ballistic.” – Jimmy Palmiotti, Writer, Producer (Harley Quinn, Jonah Hex, Painkiller Jane)
“This is some balls-out, gonzo world building and storytelling. Mortimer has laid out a crazy tangled yarn, and Robertson is drawing his ass off. Holy hell, this book is a trip, to say the least.” – Tony Moore (Artist Co-Creator Walking Dead, Fear Agent)
“BALLISTIC is the cheapest, longest lasting, and most dangerous high I’ve found.” – Gerry Duggan -Writer/Director

Appearing at Cincy Comicon in September!
I am proud to announce I’ll be attending the Cincy Comicon in September on the 12 and 13th, will fellow guests Kevin Maguire, Jim Mahfood, Tony Moore and many others!
Cincy Comicon is special, as Co-founder, artist and co-creator of “The Walking Dead” and “Fear Agent” Tony Moore explained “Our event is very artist/creator-centric, celebrating first and foremost the talented folks who produce the funny-books we love so much. …only artists, and writers, and pure comics love… we put creators absolutely first, for a comic convention that is surprisingly actually dedicated to comic books.”
Hope to see you there!
