When people came to my office and asked why I had pictures of children on the wall, I told them that these were pictures of my three sons. To a person, week in and week out, all said it was impossible, that they did not look like brothers, and that I had to have taken the wrong child home from the hospital. I was pretty certain that wasn't the case (this was before DNA testing) but it plagued me that there could be an element of truth to this. What if we had taken the wrong child home? What would we do?
As time went on, I promised myself that I would write a story about this. That was thirty years ago. I took pen to paper and then learned how to use a word processor, and started the long journey of learning how to write. I loved the process
