I just finished watching the 'The Prisoner' re-imagining that AMC did in 2009. To my utter amazement... it's brilliant. They didn't try to do the impossible (remaking Patrick McGoohan's 'The Prisoner'), instead they took some of the elements and made something new and wonderful.

Hmm, now here's an odd thing. I had the RSS feed of this Timeline going to GoodReads, quite happily. It no worky anymore, and the problem seems to be at the FaceBook end.

No RSS feed from FaceBook - sorry folks!

Well, sorry, I tried. I had an RSS2 feed happening to here from my FaceBook page. But as you might have seen, it had some mangled characters.

So, I tried changing over to Atom, as I'd heard it had some advantages. Nope, no can do. Either GoodReads or FaceBook would not let me.

So, I then tried to change back to RSS.

You can guess the rest.

When software works, properly, I generally take it as a miracle.

I've messaged the good GoodReads folks, we'll see if they can remedy it.

Stories Of An Awkward Size

I'm very excited that Stories Of An Awkward Size is out. Got some reviews coming in already from those who got the preliminary copies!

I've always - well not always - been frustrated by mystery and hard-sf fiction. Most of it doesn't seem to go the places where I wanted it to go. Some of it does, but I needed more!

So... I decided to finally get some of my own material out there.

I'm a big fan of Slipstream - essentially the kind of mystery fiction that Roald Dahl's "Tales Of The Unexpected" (and others) kick-started, but with a modern or near-future twist. I think that what I write is hard-SF that "lives" in a Slipstream narrative space.

I'm keen to see what the rest of you think!
