No RSS feed from FaceBook - sorry folks!

(EDIT: It's FaceBook's fault - see the comments below. GoodReads fixed it for me, which was very nice of them.)

Hi Folks,

Well, sorry, I tried. I had an RSS2 feed happening to here from my FaceBook page. But as you might have seen, it had some mangled characters.

So, I tried changing over to Atom, as I'd heard it had some advantages. Nope, no can do. Either GoodReads or FaceBook would not let me.

So, I then tried to change back to RSS.

You can guess the rest.

When software works, properly, I generally take it as a miracle.

I've messaged the good GoodReads folks, we'll see if they can remedy it.

Jonathan Swords-Holdsworth Hmm, seems to be something broken/changed at FaceBook. And now... we wait :)

Norman Servais Found your post on the net as I was searching for my own solution to a similar issue I am having. Sadly, here's why it's not working anymore:

The Pages JSON feed (e.g. https://www.facebook.com/feeds/page.p...) is now deprecated and will stop returning data from Jan 28, 2015 onwards. Developers should instead call the feed edge on the Graph API's Page object: /v2.2/{page_id}/feed.

Jonathan Swords-Holdsworth Ah good work, thank you! Also GoodReads' support got back to me, and they fixed it for me and it works! Bless 'em!
