Bowie v Buxton

How can I not love this? I love David Bowie, I love Adam Buxton, so when you put the two together…

Lovely animation too by The Brothers McLeod. Enjoy…

So many words. When will it end?

I love everything about this song. Everything…

Thanks Duncan for this great find.

My new Phonecall album…

Here it is – ‘The Timewaster Phonecalls’…

As you know, I’m fond of the occasional silly phone call. Well, way back between around 1996 and 2000, I used to call up the brilliant London (and now national) radio station, LBC, and well, muck about.

I’ve posted a couple of these calls before, but decided to do a sort of album thingy of lots of the calls for you all to enjoy/not enjoy. Anyway, here they are…

Track Listing:

1. Putting Up Shelves

2. Knock Knock

3. Coughing

4. Lady Di

5. Lionel Blair’s Turkey Sandwich

6. Reading from a Gardening Book

7. Iceland

8. 29 Stone Man

9. Apricots & Peaches

10. Pieter Carp

11. Stung by a Wasp

12. Coronation Street’s Terry Duckworth

13. Onion Soup

Enter the Sandman

Warning: May contain terror.

A friend of mine, Alex Godfrey emailed me with the following message: “I just went to an odd little thing in a little park called the Clerkenwell Festival. Bands, bouncy castle, dog show, jumble sale. As I was leaving with a friend we came across this very strange and kind of scary little table with a cardboard machine on it, and these two terrifying dolls on the grass in front. Some little kids came along to look at it and the man at the table asked me to pour a bag of sand into the machine…”

What happened next seriously freaked him out. But luckily Alex found a clip online of these dolls in action. Enjoy.

Such a subtle movie trailer

I don’t know about you, but I want to go and see this film right now.

Thanks to @linopolis for this horror. Actually, while you’re all here, you might as well go and see this one too…

Cheers to TheAliciaKraft for this extra horror.

If only Tupac were here now…

This is just so great. A kinda gentle, and (and kinda terrible) Irish rap tribute to Tupac.

Props to Keiran Goddard and Simon Wroe for this gem.

The dance routine to end all dance routines

I was flicking through the stranger TV channels last night, and got glued to this crazy show. It seemed to be coming from a living room somehwere, and involved lots of dancing. Anyway, when this chap came on, I… well, watch it for yourself. And make sure you don’t miss the jump at 1:45.
