The angriest guitarist of all time

Words fail me. I just can’t… I mean…this guy has the worst temper I have ever seen. (Caution: rude words).

Can you even imagine trying to play in a band with this guy?!!

Thanks to @kevinknoxx. Definitely one of my top ten clips ever.

Anatole’s Island: on Channel 4 tonight, 11:35

I’m very excited about this tonight…

Anatole_Island_12_05_Edit_01708

Back in 2009 I got sent a script by a young comedian, Philip O’ Shea. It was for an animation, and since I don’t normally make animation, I was ready to politely reply, ‘Thanks, but I’m not the right guy’, but then I read the first page and was hooked.

It was called ‘Anatole’s Island’. It was silly, charming, very funny, and all about the adventures of a little marmot named Anatole – so what’s not to like?

And 4 years later we’ve made the thing. Genius animation director, Chris Shepherd, came aboard and found a brilliant new animator, Amer Farhi, who started on the character designs. Then the excellent Ruth Fielding of Lupus Films joined, and the rest was history (well, the present to us at the time). Peter Serafinowicz provided all the voices and was his usual brill self, and Justin Spooner composed the soundtrack and did an incredible job. Anyho, it only lasts just over 3 minutes but do try to watch tonight , Channel 4 at 11:35. We want to make lots more. That’s all folks..!

Prancercise: is this the fitness system of the future?

This is lovely. Some of you may remember the amazing Horsebic system of fitness I posted some time back. Well, now there’s a new system in town – Prancercise. So, are you ready to ‘cut the noose and let it loose’?

Thanks to Edwin Stratton.

Definitely the best use of the word ‘Mazeltov’ ever btw. Thanks to James Hart for this horrible horror.

Friday Night Dinner 3 – it’s happening.

friday

Yup. Six more episodes will be coming your way earlyish next year on Channel 4. We’ll be filming in September, and I can’t wait to be working again with my lovely, ridiculously brilliant cast. So far I’ve written 3 shows, and I’m currently writing/struggling with ep 4, as I’m not sure if I should give Dad the ability to levitate, or to turn himself into a talking sheet of aluminium. Hmmm…. Anyway, not to give anything away, but I promise one of the shows will be particularly ‘epic’ in its storyline. Back to the scribbling, and thanks for all the niceness towards the show – it’s really appreciated.

Building a Human

Here’s the new short I made with the genius that is Peter Serafinowicz. We premiered it last week at the fantastic Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland.

All hail our fantastic leader, Arpoovian Shebber-Shenty!
