Ross Lee v Nicholas Lyndhurst

I’ve expressed my love for the amazing Ross Lee on this site many a time. And here’s another reason why my love just increases.

If you still haven’t heard the funniest prank album ever (by Sir Ross) just do it now.

Thanks to Greg Scott for sending me this.

Friday Night Dinner Series 4 is coming…

Jim covered in blood.

I’ve known for many months, but now it can be officially announced. It’s happening, folks!

First off, apologies to all of you lovely people who asked on twitter, ‘Is there going to be a 4th series?’ only to have no reply from me. I wasn’t being rude, I was just not allowed to say until ‘the announcement’.

Anyway, I’m so excited to be writing again for my incredible cast, and to be working with my lovely director, Martin Dennis. And, I know, 2016 is a long way off to wait – a mixture of the cast being so busy on other shows, because they’re so good, and me having had some other writing commitments. So apologies again, but hope you’ll all tune in for more japes next year.

Thanks again for all your support and kind words. Robert :)

Sexual chocolate

As a massive fan of Eddie Murphy’s Coming to America, I just love this 80’s ad for a local hair salon. And that guy is seriously sweaty…

Thanks to @secretgrooves. Great find!

Ross Lee: Dick Dastard Strikes Again

I am beyond excitement: I can finally share with you my favourite ever comedy prank album: Ross Lee: ‘Dick Dastard Strikes Again’.

Between 2001-2003, Ross Lee – armed with a hidden mic – pounded the streets/shops/taxis of Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield and caused comedy havoc. I’ve been listening to these recordings ever since (I basically know them word for word), and now Ross and I have put all the best stunts onto one album.

I have been a huge fan of Ross Lee for many years. I think he’s one of the funniest people on the planet. You may know him from various TV things, including his role as Slimmer of the Year in Look Around You (the one with the Scary Picture). He’s a complete one-off – comedian, artist (he did the cover art), songwriter, and all round sillyman.

So, I do hope you enjoy this album and spread the Ross Lee word…

This wins clip of the millennium

Not one second is wasted. Can you BELIEVE what this German chap gets up to?! How about that foam bath at 4:00, and that weird orange bath he takes afterwards?! Or the deckchair/flask disaster at 5:19? And just what is going on at 10:35. I love his horrified look every time he gets out of whatever he’s fallen into. This is one to share with the grandkids one day…

Thank you, Gregg Barton. What a find! Here’s lots more.
