13 Hottest Anime Guys Who Will Definitely Make You Swoon
Anime is full of mysterious characters, some of which are undeniable heartthrobs. You can’t help but fantasize about them from time to time. But it’s more than just their design that makes them so appealing. Throughout the series, you connect with their tragedies, their joys, their failures and successes, and their relationships.
It’s hard not to fall for such fully developed personalities with looks to make your heart swoon. Not to mention a lot of the hottest anime guys are also ass-kicking machines in the shows.

Karma Akabane looks like the lead singer of a boyband at first glance, but he’s no ordinary high school kid. He attends Koro-sensei’s class 3-E of Kunugigaoka High School, otherwise known as the Assassination Classroom.
Karma is cunning and mischievous but has a soft side. He’s no pushover when it comes to combat or even his studies — he excels in both. Karma has a cool vibe, and with his bright orange eyes and thick red hair that falls into place, he’s certainly a teen heartthrob.

Ban is one of the lead characters in The Seven Deadly Sins anime series. The Seven Deadly Sins are a group of knights from different races who are the strongest warriors the Earth has to offer in the event of a demon uprising.
Ban is the most loyal, sincere, and honorable character you’ll ever come across in anime. What makes Ban fascinating is how contradictory he is to his appearance and the sin he represents, which is stealing. He’s tall, muscular, has roughly hewn spiky gray hair, a cunning smile, sharp teeth, and wears skin-tight ’80s rockstar clothing.
To him, pain is nothing when it comes to his friends or loved ones. He endured over a thousand years of Purgatory (Hell) in order to save his captain and best friend Melodias. Ban is the epitome of passion, endurance, and loyalty — in other words, perfect husband material.

Haku was introduced early in the Naruto series. He’s an incredibly talented shinobi with an extremely tragic and heartbreaking past. Haku possessed a powerful Kekkei Genkai that made him and his family a target in their village that despised shinobi.
Although Zabuza strongly insisted their relationship was without emotion and simply practical, Haku’s loyalty, his softness, and innocence cut deep into Zabuza. Enough to make the demon of the hidden mist cry.
Haku has long straight hair and really delicate feminine features, possibly due to his young age. At first, Naruto mistook him for a lady, even though they were the same age. Despite his limited screen time, he remains one of the most memorable characters in the whole series.

Alucard is the protagonist of Hellsing Ultimate, and the most powerful weapon the Hellsing organization has against the vampires. Despite being a ruthless killing machine, Alucard demonstrates his capacity for woe and even tears, showing he has a good side.
His eyes are bloodshot red and start to glow when his emotions intensify. Thanks to his self-healing capabilities, he is invincible. When Alucard fights, not only does he torment his opponents physically, he also goes after them mentally. Sometimes he’ll fake death, then regenerate, and pay his attackers back tenfold while mocking them.
There’s something about Alucard’s duality that makes him intensely frightening but simultaneously one of the hottest anime guys of all time. It also helps that he’s always dressed to the nines, in formal Victorian-style clothing.

It’s often been said by the fanfiction community that the walls around Eldia were erected to protect the titans from Levi. If you watch Attack on Titan, it’s far from an understatement. Despite his short stature and dashing, gentleman-like looks, Levi is an absolute beast. He carves through titan flesh and bone like it’s butter.
Being humanity’s strongest soldier against titans has repeatedly ended with him losing all his friends and being the last one standing. But Levi pushes on without any respite.
He has a cold, unapproachable demeanor but really cares about his comrades when it counts. The best part about him though is his obsession with cleanliness. Sometimes, he puts his subordinates through rigorous hours of cleaning until they make the place spotless.

Kakashi Hatake is one of the most skilled shinobi in the entire Naruto series. He is renowned throughout the 5 nations for his skills and accomplishments and is respected by some of the most fearsome characters in the series. Kakashi arguably had the darkest backstory of all the anime characters in Naruto, with a past laced with trauma.
He’s a very relaxed and mysterious character with spiky white hair and a scar on his right eye. Kakashi hides half his face behind a mask for most of the series. Although in a special episode, viewers get a glimpse of what he really looks like — and he is as beautiful as he is enigmatic.

Sebastian Michaelis is possibly one of the most vile and heartless anime characters of all time, but still among the hottest nonetheless. If you ever have the time to watch Black Butler, this guy’s the whole playbook for how to court a lady.
He’s tall, handsome, well-groomed, wears a tuxedo with a grey vest, and has the most mesmerizing red eyes. But elegance and looks are just the small-ticket items when it comes to Sebastian. He’s efficient and gets the job done gracefully, without any error. Sebastian’s sophistication is on another level, too bad there’s his demonic side you’d have to contend with as well.

Rin Okumura is no ordinary demon. He is the son of Satan himself. Rin attends the True Cross Academy and is studying to become an Exwire. As a kid, he demonstrated abnormal strength and temper and was referred to as the “Demon Child.” But despite that, Rin grew up to be a compassionate and supportive person.
Rin has scruffy black hair that sweeps down and falls on all sides, framing his blue eyes and beautiful pale skin. In his demon form, he gets two blue-horned flames on his head and flames all over different parts of his body. It’s a little edgy, but Rin pulls it off with his adorableness.

If you’ve had enough of edgelords and the dark brooding type, Yuri is a break from all that. He’s a competitive figure skater and the protagonist of the series Yuri! On Ice.
Yuri is no fighter or tough guy, quite the opposite. Emotionally speaking, he’s as brittle as glass and does not take failure without excessive remorse. But he has a kind heart and shows sensitivity towards others too.
Yuri has a somewhat dorky appearance, with messy black hair, glasses, and brown eyes. He pushes his hair back while skating to look more formal yet ends up looking more dorky, but in a lovable way.

Takashi is the main protagonist of the series High School of the Dead. He’s a second-year student at the Fujimi Academy of survivors, a natural leader, confident, and highly accomplished in melee combat. He doesn’t seem like much because of his skinny build but packs a punch strong enough to take down opponents twice his size.
He has spiky black hair that takes off in all directions, which is a standard requisite for most shonen heroes and playboy protagonists. But Takashi has a more quiet, laidback, and friendly attitude than the typical high school Alpha. He’s selfless, often putting his classmates first. All these qualities make him one of the most eligible anime hubbies of all time.

Because of his stern aversion to demons and respect for rules, his character can be a mood-killer sometimes. But his loyalty, ethical standards, and devoutness to the rules still make him attractive.

Toga Yagari is a top-rank vampire hunter and teacher of the main protagonist of Vampire Knight. Yagari can be taciturn and gruff but he’s soft at the core.

If you’re into the badass seasoned warrior types with delicate and graceful features, Yagari is the man for you. He has a scar on the side of his face, long wavy jet black hair, tall, muscular, and wears a cowboy hat like he invented it.

Kyo is the deuteragonist of the popular Fruit Basket anime. Kyo has a weird but painful curse. Every time he hugs someone of the opposite sex, he turns into an orange cat. Unlike his family members, his transformation isn’t a part of the Zodiac animals so he’s often discriminated against.
His kind-heartedness and affection towards Tohru Honda is awe-inspiring. As is his resilience in the face of the ill-fated curse he must contend with. Sohma isn’t like most of the guys on this list, he’s a lot more charismatic and outgoing, but a little socially awkward, which just makes him cuter.
He’s tall, lean, and has nape-length orange hair that sticks out as soft spikes. The kind of hair you want to keep running your hands through.

A friend of mine (@mjcarp2) sent me a painting I did for an assignment I did back in art school 20 years ago, which he modeled for. I illustrated a short story written by Charles Bukowski. At this point I had only been painting in acrylics for a little over a year and was getting used to the medium. I look at this painting now and it just has that quality of finish that says “student work” to me, and yet I can’t express into words why I think that’s the case. Still happy to see it though, and to see my humble beginnings and how I’ve progressed over the years
