The Kissed by a Dark Prince Book Tour comes to my blog for the final post in the tour, and I’m going to talk a little more about what’s to come after Kissed by a Dark Prince in the Eternal Mates romance series.

So what’s next in the series? What do you all have to look forward to as we venture deeper into this world?
The next book is Claimed by a Demon King and takes us down into the depths of Hell to the Third Realm and King Thorne’s war against the Fifth Realm. Things are heating up down there, with the Fifth King constantly pushing Thorne’s forces to their limit and weakening his numbers. Of course, things will be heating up for another reason when Prince Loren leads his legion of elves to Thorne’s aid and Sable leads her band of mortal hunters from Archangel with him.
Elves and humans aren’t the only ones assisting King Thorne with his war though. The vampires are sending their First Legion of the Preux Chevaliers, led by their fearless commander, Lord Van der Garde, and the werewolves are up for a scrap too, but it remains to be seen whether that’s with Thorne’s enemy or with the vampires in his own castle.
Expect plenty of passion in this one as Thorne fights for his kingdom and his mate, determined to claim the fiery huntress Sable and have her as his forever. He’s not alone in his quest for Sable’s attention though. Thorne has competition in the form of the elf commander, Bleu, and the male isn’t about to just roll over and let the king have his way.
You’ll also get to meet more future heroes and heroines, and new species, such as dragon shifters and bear shifters!
After Claimed by a Demon King, we’re taking a walk on the wild side with one very broken elf prince and a sorceress with a serious problem on her hands. It’s a book that I cannot wait to write and one I know a few readers are already excited about and eagerly anticipating.
Claimed by a Demon King is due for release on February 22nd 2014, and if things go according to schedule, you can expect the third book in the series to follow it on November 29th.

Author Spotlight – Lynda Hilburn introduces us to Crimson Psyche plus giveaway
My guest author this week is the wonderful Lynda Hilburn! She’s here to talk about her latest release, Crimson Psyche, share and excerpt and to give away a copy. I’ll hand things over to her now…
I want to thank Felicity for having me back on her blog! I’m happy to be here to celebrate the release of the third book in my Kismet Knight, Vampire Psychologist series – Crimson Psyche – which is now available in the UK, in both ebook and print form!
It’s so much fun writing about counseling vampires and exploring the undead versions of various psychological diagnoses. A vampire with a fear of blood, suicidal urges or agoraphobia puts a very different spin on those familiar challenges. And a bloodsucker with a sex addiction? Constantly searching for partners can be exhausting. Even for immortals!

Excerpt: A Surprise Visit
The unexpected change in schedule left me feeling disconnected. I hated to admit it, but I’d come to rely on Devereux’s companionship, and when he was off being Master of the Vampires or International Mega-corporate Genius, I missed him.
“You’re pitiful, Kismet. Time to get a life,” I said aloud.
An enticing aroma caressed my nostrils, I heard a familiar pop sound behind me and a velvet voice inches from my ear whispered, “What kind of life would you like? The possibilities are limitless.” Soft lips trailed kisses down my neck and my brain cells scrambled.
Devereux . . .
I began the mental hum, which had become automatic in the presence of vampires. So far, it kept me from getting killer headaches or turning into a lobotomized zombie around powerful bloodsuckers. My breath caught and it took me a couple of tries before I found my voice.
“You’re back. There’s something I wanted to ask you. If I could only remember what it was . . .”
Or why I’d want to use my mouth for talking when it could be put to much better uses.
“Later.” He kissed my jaw and I was undone.
As always when Devereux was near, my body rolled out the hormonal red carpet. I relaxed against his chest and savored his arousing fragrance, and the softness of his hair tickling the side of my face. My heart rate increased and my breath went shallow. Formerly functional knees softened. I was never sure if my reaction to his presence was excitement or fear, or a little of both. I used to wonder if my body responded to him only because of his powers as a master vampire, or if I was simply that attracted to him. After having his mind-muddling effect muted by the elders, it was a relief to know that my feelings – and lust – for him were purely natural.
He couldn’t read my thoughts any more unless I was in the throes of some intense emotion – and I tried to keep myself calm to avoid that – but he’d become very good at interpreting my visible cues.
I closed my eyes and enjoyed the moment. Even though I was no longer unduly influenced by his presence, I still thought there had to be something wrong with how powerfully he affected me. It couldn’t possibly be psychologically healthy for me to think about leaping on him within seconds of his approach or to want to cling to him like a cheap Spandex suit. I’d gotten better at reining in my impulses, but it was still a struggle.
Nobody should have a face that gorgeous. Or eyes so magnetic. Or a body so enticing. It just wasn’t . . . normal.
Right, Kismet. He’s a vampire – as if anything about him could ever be normal.
He slid his hands up and down my arms, then stroked my hips through the soft, form-fitting fabric of my dress and moaned softly. His tongue flicked along my neck and I lifted my chin to give him better access to his favorite pulsing vein – allowing Devereux to drink my blood while we have sex pushes my orgasm into the stratosphere. I shivered, acting like a shameless addict, jonesing for the sharp needle-points of his teeth to pierce my skin and provide the fix I craved.
Instead of biting, he just nibbled gently, then let go.
I groaned in disappointment.
He whispered against my ear, “I love how you desire me. I can feel your need.”
I could feel his . . . need . . . too, pressing against me.
Shouldn’t I be annoyed by his ego, his arrogant assumption that I want him? The fact that it’s true is beside the point, isn’t it? I think I’m going to need to sit down soon. Or maybe lie down. Yeah, lying down would be much better.
“Look at me, Kismet,” he whispered.
Geez. What is it with that voice?
“Look at you? Nope, that’s always trouble. I think I’ll just stay right where I am, rubbing myself against your throbbing manhood, as they used to say in romance novels.”
“My throbbing manhood?”
Something about the way he’d said those words, with his old-fashioned manner of speaking and his European accent, made me laugh – in fact, I laughed so hard that he gasped as I vibrated against his erection. Since he rarely sucked in air on purpose, much less allowed anyone to catch him by surprise, I was intrigued; I simply had to look at him.
I turned, and the view was worth the trip.
He’d tilted his head back, closed his eyes and parted his lips just enough so that the tips of his fangs glistened. His beautiful light blond hair flowed down his chest, soft and touchable. He was dressed in his usual snug black leather pants, and a vibrant blue silk T-shirt clung to his well-toned body, displaying it to perfection.
I studied him, my heart pounding in lustful anticipation. He truly was an unusually beautiful man. He opened his eyes, and I felt myself falling, almost as if the carpet I’d been standing on had liquefied, and I sank into a blue-green universe. I’d never been totally sure what color his eyes were. What’s the difference between turquoise and aqua, anyway? Obviously arousal brought out the best in his devilish orbs, because they sparkled like gemstones. Or maybe it was a vampire thing. He gave a slow blink and a wicked smile quirked his lips. He slid his arms around my waist and pulled me close for a kiss.
Without any more hesitation I looped my arms around his neck, fitted my body tightly against his and kissed him back. His mouth was wonderful; as he teased his tongue through my lips I opened for him, inviting him to take more. Regardless of any doubts I might have about my relationship with Devereux, our sexual chemistry was never in question.
Part of me was lost in the delicious things his tongue was doing, but another part noticed the fact that we were standing in front of the window for all of Denver to see, and as soon as I thought that, I broke the kiss and nodded towards the glass. “Maybe we should take our reunion somewhere more private,” I suggested.
“Yes. Privacy. I totally agree.”

After a childhood filled with invisible friends, sightings of dead relatives and a fascination with the occult, turning to the paranormal was a no-brainer. WIP Wednesday – Claimed by a Demon King (Eternal Mates Paranormal Romance Series Book 2)
I’m bringing WIP Wednesdays back when I’m actively working on a book. At the moment, I’m neck deep in the final edit of Claimed by a Demon King, the next book in the Eternal Mates romance series. It’s coming along really well and I’m around 1/3 done with the book. Hopefully, I’ll have this tied up by Monday and I’ll be happy enough to start sending out advance review copies.
I think you guys will like this one. Not just because it’s longer than Kissed by a Dark Prince or even because it has some twists in it (I really should trademark twists, I do love writing them). It’s hot, intense, and full of spark. Thorne is deliciously growly and possessive, and often confused and clueless. Sable is kick-ass, take-no-prisoners, and sometimes out of her depth. Bleu is just the icing on the cake. I’m beginning to feel some major love for the dark elf commander… but not as much love as I have for Vail, his other prince.
Over the holidays, I was working on the ideas for the next book, which will be Vail’s. I was also working on the plot for Hunger, which is going to be the next book I write and that’s also the next book in the Vampires Realm romance series. I’ll get writing the first draft of that as soon as I’ve wrapped up Claimed by a Demon King.
I’m keeping today’s post short and sweet but I will give you a little teaser snippet to keep you going through these cold and dark winter days…
Sable concentrated on the notes she had scribbled onto her pad. The plan was sound, if not a little dangerous. Luring the enemy to them meant placing many villages at the borders in danger and Thorne would be in danger too. He had made it clear that he and he alone would engage the Fifth King. Apparently, it was the done thing in demonomachies. Only kings fought kings.
She thought it was a stupid tradition and she had no qualms about agreeing to it here and now and breaking the rule later when they were on the battlefield. She was damned if she would let Thorne lose his head because he insisted on fighting solo. He was strong, powerful, and capable, but together they were stronger.
Sable pretended that thought stemmed from her mission and her duty as the commander of the Archangel team. Her heart whispered that it stemmed from her soul though and the feelings that came over her whenever she thought about Thorne fighting his enemy. She wanted to protect him. The incident in the courtyard had made it clear that he, and no doubt every other demon present, thought that a little mortal female throwing herself into battle at his side was quaint and sweet, and stupid, but it wasn’t going to deter her. Every instinct she had said to protect him and she had never denied her instincts. They had saved her too many times.
Her gaze drifted back to Thorne and heat travelled through her, burning up her blood, as their eyes locked. Perhaps there were some instincts better left denied.
Like the one telling her to get up on the table and crawl the length of it to him, and to take his strong square jaw in her palms, tip his head up and gently kiss him until his restraint shattered and hers broke with it.
Thorne growled low, flashing a hint of fang, and his eyes brightened, burning crimson and setting her aflame.
“Perhaps it is time we retire to attend to our men and other business ahead of this evening’s gathering?” the vampire commander said.
Her eyes darted to him, her heart skipping a beat as she realised he had been staring at her the whole time, studying her while she gazed at Thorne, and was now insinuating they needed to be left alone.
“Very well.” Thorne rose from his seat and, damn, his body shifted sensually beneath his white shirt and tight dark mahogany leathers, cranking up her temperature to boiling point.

Pushing away his heavy thoughts, he smiled down into her eyes, attempting to alleviate the worry that was still lingering in them. He had to get his mind off things for a while.
“I keep thinking about Lady Caelestis and Lord Aurorea,” he said.
A smile curved her lips, his words chasing away her concern and leaving her eyes dark and clear.
“History is repeating itself,” she mused and sighed. “But I can’t help worrying that the houses will react as violently as they did that time, too.”
“I have the perfect way to help you sleep and keep your mind off the world.” He watched her face and then pressed a kiss to the soft flesh of her throat.
She arched her back into him, pressing her backside against his hips. “What’s that?”
Turning her in his arms, he crushed her lips with a passionate kiss. He clutched her upper arms tightly, holding her still while his mouth explored hers, his tongue seeking entrance that she all too willingly gave him. He closed his eyes, taking in the fervent way she was kissing him back, and groaned when her fingers wandered over his hips to his waist and raised his jacket up.
He lost control when she brushed her fingers against his stomach and drew back, his eyes narrowing hungrily on hers and the fire inside him being fuelled by the desire he could see in hers. They were dark with need and the scent of her arousal permeated the air.
In one swift movement, he had torn her shirt open, revealing her black lacy bra and taut stomach to his eyes. He extended his claws and smiled at the breathy moan she loosed when he used one of them to cut the strap holding the two cups of her bra together. Pushing both her bra and her shirt off her shoulders, he gathered her up into his arms, lifting her high enough for his lips to latch onto one of her rosy nipples.
She gasped when he tugged on it, using his teeth to tease and torture her. Her fingers twisted into his hair, holding him against her. He held onto her backside tightly when she writhed against him, her moans punctuating the silence of the room and driving him insane with need. He wanted to make her cry out as she had last time, wanted to feel her body surrounding him, and wanted to look into her eyes and see them full of her desire.
“Valentine.” Her voice was faint with need and he couldn’t stop himself from carrying to across to the bed. He threw her onto it, immediately pouncing on top of her and kissing down her chest to her breasts again. Her fingers seared him with their touch as she raked them up his back and dug her nails into his shoulders.
Her hips grazed his and he groaned at the slight contact between them. His groan became a growl that bordered on feral when he ground into her, thrusting his caged erection against her crotch. She flung her head back, her eyes closing and her lips parting to release the sweetest moan he’d ever heard.
When she shifted and looked back at him, he could see how hungry she was and the sight of it heightened his arousal. Her kiss swollen lips beckoned him along with her dark eyes. She stretched her arms out above her, turning her head slightly and luring him in with a smile.
Grabbing hold of her hands, he ground his hips against hers again while his mouth covered hers in a demanding kiss that she matched move for move. She jerked her pelvis up against his and his grip on her hands increased. He forced them against the bed, pinning her there with his body while his lips devoured the smooth milky column of her throat.
The breathy whispers she was making quickly became panting and he had a hard time resisting biting her when her hands found their way to his crotch. She cupped his erection and rubbed it, making his body shudder with need. When he couldn’t bear the feeling of her hand against him any longer, he moved backwards, letting his feet hit the floor. He growled with frustration at his boots when they wouldn’t come off, causing her to giggle. Tossing them across the room, he groaned when he saw that she was toying with her nipples, her fingers tracing them in slow circles that made fire sweep through him.
He undid the top buttons of his jacket and pulled it off over his head and then hurried to remove his trousers.
Her fingers stopped moving when she noticed he was naked.
She mewled.
He growled.
She was already undoing her trousers by the time he reached her. He didn’t wait for her to unzip them. He yanked them off her, removing her knickers at the same time. He pulled her boots off, freeing her feet and then threw them across the room with her trousers and underwear.
She moved backwards so her head was resting just short of the pillows. He watched her raise her knees up and he ran his hands over them, slowly parting her legs and revealing her to his eyes. She bit her lip, the only sign of shyness when the rest of her was screaming for his touch.
The brush of her fingers against his sent a current through him that made his hips jerk forwards greedily. He wanted her to touch there. Damn his hand to Hell. He needed her to touch him.
“Valentine,” she mewled, her eyes half closing when she leaned her head back into the bed and arched.
He frowned at her manoeuvre and crawled up the length of her body.
