Not sure I ever posted the full cover for SEDUCING THE VAMPIRE, due in stores January '11 (which means it'll probably start showing up right around Xmas time).  The cover artist really likes that blood splatter tool, eh?  ;-)

Next I've got copies of WINTER KISSED, which features the short story "A Kiss of Frost" by moi, and "Ice Bound" by the fab, Vivi Anna.  My hero is a version of Jack Frost who really heats up the heroine's life!  To be entered just comment today and tell me: Were you enthralled by the Chilean miners rescue?  Did you watch it?  Does it make you feel awesome just thinking how happy their families must be?

Everyone can enter (worldwide).  I'll draw winners Friday or Saturday, so keep coming back!

Winners and Another Contest!

Winners of GETAWAY GIRL are...

Scott Romanski
Melanie
Linda Henderson

Winners, please send your snail mail address to me at: toastfaery@gmail.com, with Getaway Girl in the subject line.

See how fast this is going to work?  Maybe a contest a day, or every other day.  And trust me, not a lot of people visit my blog, so you have a very good chance of winning something this month if you keep coming back.  Don't worry about entering if you've already won.  Go ahead and enter/comment again.  I'll keep a list of who has won, but if we run out of new names, you go back into the drawing!

Next books I'm giving away are: 5 copies of  MOON KISSED!

Leave some good cheer in the comments to be entered to win!

House Cleaning Contest!

You read that right.  I'm doing some cleaning in the dreaded 'office closet', which houses all kinds of stuff.  Manuscripts, promotional cards, books, envelopes, office supplies, wrapping supplies, and anything else you can imagine.  I need space, but even more, I need less clutter.  So I found a box full of old books that I'm going to give away.  I'll do this for the rest of the month.  No specific days to post, but all the remaining posts this month will be contest only (or else Adam).  I'm not going to make this very difficult either.  All you have to do to qualify to win a book on any given post is leave a comment.  Make it a nice comment, about the weather, or how the day is going for you, or what you're currently reading, what you hope to read soon, anything!  I do believe I can be influenced if you say nice things about me, too.  :-)

So for today's giveaway, I have three copies of GETAWAY GIRL.  Comment away!

Winner's will be announced when I get to it (which is when I remember to do so), and yes, I'm opening this to the world.  Stop back in all month!

Motivation

So I've been reporting weight loss on FB once in a while.  I started a new way of eating at the beginning of August, and am pretty darn surprised that it's actually working and that I'm losing weight.  I'm almost to my halfway point, and I figured I needed some motivation to push to the finish line.  The second part is going to be a longer haul, I'm sure, so I've posted this picture on the corner of my monitor:

These shoes, Christian Louboutin, are so mine, if I can do this.  I've only wanted a pair for maybe about a decade.  Just a plain black pair that I can wear all the time, everywhere, and show off the sexy red soles.  A very good reward, if you ask me.  Now, to figure out my European shoe size!

What you can't really see in the pic is his front legs are propped over my wrist, thus making typing a bit challenging.  Maxwell runs the house.  He sits where he wants, and we let him do so.  But if my next book is late, you know who to blame.  :-)

Fall is here!

And I think it'll stay a few weeks before winter rushes in.  It's already frozen a few days ago.  Though the sun is out today, I suspect it's a chilly air.  I do love this time of year because you can dig out the sweaters and wear them without having to put on a jacket just yet.  Something about a big, loose sweater hugging your shoulders and hips that appeals.  And the crunchy, colorful leaves outside.  It makes for a pretty drive, wherever you go.  But it's sad as well, because I know winter will be here soon and won't leave until around April, so ugg...tucking in for the long haul!

Freezing!

I took my plants in last night, in the nick of time!  There was frost on the ground this morning.  Now to keep the cats from them.  Maxwell always goes for the sharpest, most pin-pricklyest of them. (bottom pic, middle)  I don't understand it.  Think it would be painful to chew on, but there you go.
