Corona Princess Diaries Day 6

Hello, everybody! I hope youre all staying safe and healthy during this difficult time.

Entries from Princess Mia Thermopolis of Genovias diary* have fallen into my hands, and as the princesss royal biographer, its my duty to share them with you!

*Please keep in mind that as with any diary, the princess is only recording her thoughts at the given moment, and has had no copy editing. Also, both the princess and I are aware that this is a serious and rapidly developing crisis.

How to Shelter in Place aka Work from Home in the Age of Corona

Well, 2020 has proven to be quite a year already!

I thought nothing could rival 2019 (or 2018) for craziness, but here we are, stuck in our homes thanks to a deadly virus.

As a writer, staying home is something I already do. You might say that I do it professionally. Ive been doing it for twenty years, and it doesnt actually bother me. Sometimes, when Im very late on a book, I wont leave home for weeks at a time (something Im able to do thanks to delivery services and my husband). I call this...

Happy Holidays! And some news

I can’t believe it’s already that time of year again.

Fall Book Tour!

I can’t believe how fast the summer went by! I went to the beach one time, and then it was over. Now it’s Fall, and I have not one but TWO books coming out (first my adult book, No Judgments, and then in November my middle grade graphic novel with DC Comics, Black Canary Ignite). Then I have another book due–the next installment of the Little Bridge series after No Judgments (cover and title a secret for now)! So I’m not busy AT ALL or doing any stress eating or staying up way too late wa...

9/11

This year is the eighteenth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93.

Every year in remembrance I post this essay about my experience living in Manhattan a few dozen blocks from the World Trade Center on 9/11.  I think it’s important that we don’t allow the memories of those we lost (or the brave acts that so many men and women performed) on that day be forgotten.

So if you have a few extra minutes in your day, please read on. And if you t...
