Holiday Book Gifting 2022

I can’t believe the holidays are here already, but it’s true. Which it means it’s time to talk about holiday gift giving. And what makes a better gift than a tiara book? Look below to see how you can gift the book lover in your life a signed book (or book plate!) by me.

But before I tell you how to get signed copies of my own books, please look at this list of some of the amazing books I read this year that were NOT by me! I cannot recommend them enough for gift giving, and I wish I had room to ...

Princess Diaries 3 Confirmed

We’re going back to Genovia. A new Princess Diaries movie is in the works at Disney.

That’s all I can tell you right now!

Look for a new installment in the Mia Thermopolis book universe, Quarantine Princess Diaries, in March 2023. 10% of my proceeds go to VowForGirls.org, the charity founded by real life Princess Mabel von Orange of the Netherlands!

And just remember…miracles really do happen (once in a while, if you believe)!

More later.

Much love,

Meg

9/11 2022

This year is the twenty-first anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93.

Every year on this day I post an essay about my experience living in Manhattan a few dozen blocks from the World Trade Center on 9/11 (my husband was working in a building across the street from the Twin Towers when the planes hit).

Meg’s 9/11 Diary

9/11/01 started out as one of those super nice fall days where the sky was cloudlessly blue and it was just warm enough, b...

Summer Reading 2022

I can’t believe it’s summer already!

Normally this time of year I would be hard at work doing PR for whatever new book I had coming out.

But for a lot of reasons (fall of civilization as we know it; helped my mom move; Stranger Things 4 came out), my newest book won’t be out until Spring 2023 (title TBA in Fall 2022).

So this summer I’m kicking back and . . .

…unionizing the hoes (i.e. organize the list of names of men to stay away from because they’re rapey) as rights that I grew up with and t...

Happy Galentine’s/Valentine’s Day!

Well, we’ve done it. We made it through the holiday season.

This is a huge accomplishment because this particular holiday season was a little rough, what with omicron and all the various snowstorms and Britney Spears (rightfully) feuding with her sister Jamie Lynn, etc.

Not that things are looking tremendously better now, but at least we’ve put Christmas and New Years behind us and can cautiously move on to what’s really important:

Eating chips and dip while watching amazing athletes compete ...

Holidays 2021

How can it be the holidays already? It feels like it was summer only a few weeks ago!

But there’s no denying it: the snowbirds are flocking back to Key West, there’s a cat warming my toes as I write this (more on that below), and holiday movies are beginning to stream. I’m particularly excited to see YA author Ally Carter‘s rom-com starring Brooke Shields and Cary Elwes, A Castle for Christmas, on Netflix:

Anyway, thank you SO MUCH to everyone who helped make the launch for NO WORDS in October s...

New Pub Date for No Words!

By now you’re probably used to hearing about how “supply chain disruptions” due to Covid are causing delays in getting goods into the hands of us consumers.

Well, now one of those delays has hit the publishing industry!

So my new book for adult readers, No Words, which was supposed to come out on September 28, now won’t be released until October 12.

But this isn’t necessarily a bad thing! It’s kind of a good thing. Why?

Because it means that if you haven’t pre-ordered your signed copy (or signe...

9/11 20th Anniversary

This year on 9/11 is the twentieth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93.

Every year during the week of 9/11 I post a personal essay about my experience living in Manhattan a few dozen blocks from the World Trade Center on 9/11 (my husband was working in a building across the street from the Twin Towers when the planes hit).

I post this essay because it’s important to me that people remember that morning twenty years ago – not the horror...
