Your question has a very simple answer: I have 30 novels in Goodreads and have rated them all, with the following criterion:
a) I gave 5 stars to my four personal favorites among my books.
b) I assigned 4 stars and 3 stars to the remaining books, in a more or less balanced way (actually there are 15 with 4* and 11 with 3*).
But some of my readers strongly disagree with my classification. I hope you will be one of them :-)(less)
