Spin Cycle 222

Today's Saturday. I just realized that. I'm sitting here, eating a peach and peanut butter sandwich, and waiting for hubby's jeans to drip dry enough to toss them in the dryer. I enlisted McBeast to help me wring them out, and I think we did a pretty good job, all things considered, but denim holds water and I'm sweating it a little because the man has to leave for work at 5:30 this evening.

My washing machine kicked the bucket yesterday, which is why we're going through all this. The tub...

Clear the Deck: June Blitz Bliss

Hello, friends. I hope you're all having a fun summer. I've been busy journaling, creating, publishing, and taking workshops to learn some new skills. I have a secret workshop addiction, but we're going to pretend that's not a thing.

Anyway, I'm in the middle of a fun, self-imposed June Creativity Blitz. I was calling it a cover blitz to start with, but I've done more than just revamp book covers so I changed the "intention" title to include the entire spectrum of projects I've been working on...

New, Reissued Backlist Books on Smashwords

Two of my extremely hard to find backlist titles are now available on Smashwords in .epub format. More formats are forthcoming. Both of these short stories were previously made available only for a very limited amount on time through their respective publishers.

About Wicked Desires:

Acolyte Liliana Ashton has one goal in mind, to seduce Serge Dmitriev into selecting her as his lover. In her quest to snare him, she offers her most precious gift of all - her virginity. Will he take the bait...

Home Life Updates & Feral Instinct

Hubz and Mini were going to venture off on a guy-cation next week, but we have been getting hit with storms and a lot of rain pretty much since late May. The whole state currently appears to be under some kind of flood watch. We're in the northern area that doesn't get much flooding, but the weather has still been rainy and humid.

I was going to stay home with the pooh tails (poodles, aka, Cajun poodles, Jake and Sass) and do some crafting, writing, and such, but it seems the guy-cation may e...

Hey, y'all...

"Felt cute, might delete later."
-MintyIt's 3:25 pm and the Snicklebeast just got home from school, so I'm blogging while also boiling hotdogs for the kidlet. It's the end of the school year, and every day, Mini wakes up telling me he doesn't want to go back.

Today he found out the office isn't taking roll for the rest of the week, so it's really not necessary for him to go in tomorrow. I told him he could stay home unless he had an assignment to turn in or he hadn't cleaned out his l...

Creativity Flow

The Acer desktop in the dining room stopped working back in October, so I gave MiniBeast my new Chromebook. I was mainly using it for YouTube anyway, so giving it away didn't feel like a big loss. I've using my MacBook for general web browsing, but it doesn't work on some websites, so around January of 2019, I decided to save up and get a new desktop comp. The hunt took a little longer than I anticipated, but I'm better off for it.

I waited around to get myself a new comp until after taxes, an...

New Computer - Yay!

Yay! I have a new laptop so all is right in the world again. I finished up a workshop not long ago, and I'm still kind of processing everything I learned from it. In the meantime, I'm trying to get a book written before the year is out. *fingers crossed* Rattle some beads and wish me luck!

I'm over on Instagram these days, uploading on occasion, but not daily. Mostly home life stuff, so if you're specifically looking for book news, you probably won't find what you're looking for there.

Also, I...

mid-september check in

geez man, it's hot as balls today. the ac can't seem to keep up with it. I've got my hair up, and I put on shorts and a tank top but it still feels like I'm melting. whew, anyhow, I decided to check in since I got a notice from google a couple of days ago that someone from outside my area tried to log in to my account. *grumble, grumble* so far everything seems to be ok.

back in august, I took a month long workshop, which was very good. I learned a lot from that, and I'm still trying to apply...

full moon and what not

I originally, accidentally typed that title as 'full moan and what not'. Paging dr. freud?

sorry for the many typos in this post, but my comp is dying, and I can't afford to replace her right now. It's the only comp I have that works for updating blogger. Of course, some of the keys don't work, and it seems I can't capitalize certain letters, like d, g, and s. (go figure.)  t, apparently, as well. ah, the joys of windows 10. what more can I say?

I'm currently blogging over at the cora zane...

Happy Father's Day 2018

Happy Father's Day to my wonderful Dad. He was the one who read to me when I was little. The Little Golden book version of The Gingerbread Man was a bedtime favorite. He would change up the story as he was reading to me to see if I would catch on to the silliness. I was a sassy pants from the start, and I would give him the skeptical eye whenever he'd change up the story. And he would totally get a kick out of being caught. Such great memories!
It was moments like this that fostered my love of...
