My favorite reads this March:
To Fire Called by Nathan Lowell, part of a large SF series that I mostly love. 5 out of 5 stars for me, because one scene hit me particularly hard.
The Practice, the Horizon, and the Chain, Nebula-nominated SF novella by Sofia Samatar. Poetic, mythic, tender to its main character, searing allegorical setting. 5 out of 5 stars.
Honorable mention to four books that were 4 1/2 star reads for me. It was a good reading month!
-
The High King's Golden Tongue, Megan Derr, MM fantasy romance; I was smitten by one of the main characters
-
In Ashes Born, Nathan Lowell, the book preceding "To Fire Called" (above) in the Golden Age of the Solar Clipper series
-
Hawk, Steven Brust, book 14 of the Vlad Taltos series, a re-read
-
Demon Daughter, Lois McMaster Bujold, novella in the wonderful Penric and Desdemona series
What did other folks read that you loved?
