Whatis Blue Mind?

I’ve included the term Blue Mind in many of my books. Ioften refer to it as the Blue Water Effect. Dr. Wallace J Nichols, a marinebiologist, popularized the phrase with his book Blue Mind: The SurprisingScience That Shows How Being Near, In, On, or Under Water Can Make You Happier,Healthier, More Connected, and Better at What You Do. Blue Mind is the mildlymeditative state people fall into when they are near, in, under, or on water. Itis peace. It is the feeling of calmness and relaxation from being in or nearthe water and positively affects our mental health.

The ocean is a common source of Blue Mind for me and Jon.That is one of the main reasons we moved to Sayulita, Nayarit ten years ago andnow live in Puerto Vallarta. We look for ways to reach Blue Mind from the PacificOcean, where we live, and other seas when we travel.

The rainy season is due to start in May, maybe early June.This will be the third summer we have owned Minnie Winnie. She hasn't leakedyet, and we want it to stay that way.

Jon is very detailed in his work and has to battle himselfnot to be too much of a perfectionist. Even in this 85-degree humid weather, heput in seven to eight-hour days working on the motorhome's exterior for six days! So much for boogie boarding thisweek.

This is Important in RV Water Heaters, Too! Jon Diagnosing the Problems with the Water Heater

Why did our hot water run out in less than five minutes? Ihate having to rinse the shampoo out of my hair with cold water!

We had hot showers, but only for a few minutes, then thewater turned cool. So, the water heater worked, but not correctly. Jon was on amission to diagnose the problem and repair it. This ten-year-old Calorex waterheater (called a boiler in Mexico) was a good-quality unit, and he did not wantto replace it. Repairing it would save a lot of money, he was sure! It turnedout to be multiple problems, but all were solvable for reasonable prices.
