Laura is a Vancouver Island based author of a middle grade equestrian series and two cozy mystery series. She is also a screenwriter with several options and awards to her credit.

Hesse grew up a back stage brat in music hall theater and credits her mother with her love of dance and song and her father with her love of reading and writing. When she is not writing, she can be found on a beach somewhere or singing at a local jam.

While her horses have all passed over the rainbow, they appear in many of her stories.

Dreadful I really wanted to like this story. It had a great storyline but the characters were flat and two dimensional. The narrative for me was hard to continue reading so I quit half way. That and the character of Ember was truly annoying.
