Big News!

Where does CADERI fit into the timeline?
Well, it takes place a generation or so after the events of the Sunsinger Chronicles, and one generation before the Chorillan Cycle books begin.
In fact, the baby born during TRUE CADERI is Captain Jaklyn, who gets married at the beginning of AZULI EYES. Her daughter, Alexa, is best friends with Kay'li Fieran, the heroine of the Chorillan Cycle books.
Jaklyn is the daughter of Alex, the daughter of Herin, whom you met in the Sunsinger books LEAP SHIPS, ARAMAR, and GEMAR. Herin married Gorgi Cole, who also shows up in HOVEN QUEST with their son -- and their grandson, Nobi, features prominently in the Chorillan Cycle books.
Feel a little more solid in where you are with TRUE CADERI?
*********Going to be in Cincinnati on June 1?
I'll be participating in the booksigning Friday night at the annual Lori Foster and Diane Castell Readers and Authors Get-Together. Stop by!
Check Lori Foster's site or check out her Facebook page for details of the time and place and all the authors who will be participating. It's great fun -- and proceeds every year are raised for good causes, like women's shelters, our troops, animal shelters, etc.I'll be signing print copies of AZULI EYES, SCOUTS' PRIDE, and THE SECOND TIME AROUND, as well as other books in print. You don't even have to make sure you have cash -- I now have a credit card reader and can take payments through my iPad.Ain't technology grand?
Hope to see you there!

Come on over and leave a comment. Let's have some feedback on when/how/where YOUR favorite couples should tie the knot. After all, with 11 books so far in Year One of Tabor Heights, that's a lot of romance in the air, and a lot of couples heading for the altar.
Come on over and let your voice be heard!
Check out my web site and learn about all the Tabor Heights books!
Check out the link for the Samples page -- where you can access a PDF of the first chapter of ALL my current books and get a taste. Take a chance -- you might find something you like!

Into Scriptwriting?

If so, I'll see you there!
The topic for this year is a little different -- Alexandra Sokoloff will be talking on scriptwriting techniques for authors. Sounds like fun, to me! Every new tool in the writer's toolbox is valuable -- you just have to find out how to use the tools in the way that suits you best.

Hope to see you there!
Even if you're not coming for the workshop and to learn something, come by for the booksigning on Saturday afternoon. I would love to see you!

Crazy Love
Quote:
GOD IS LOVE. crazy, relentless all powerful love
Does something deep inside your heart long to break free from the status quo? Are you hungry for an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible, even radical, solutions? God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. Because the answer to religious complacency isn't working harder at a list of do's and don'ts — it's falling in love with God. And once you encounter His love, as Francis describes it, you will never be the same.
Because when you're wildly in love with someone, it changes everything
HOLD ME ACCOUNTABLE.
I just finished reading CRAZY LOVE by Francis Chan.
http://www.crazylovebook.com/
I got it free from Olive Tree software at Easter. It seems to be available everywhere. I'm also reading the next book they offered me by Francis Chan, FORGOTTEN GOD. I hope it affects me as much, if not more, than the first book.
Read it.
Please.
You'll be disturbed -- at least, I hope so.
I hope you feel guilty.
I hope you feel hungry -- for more in your spiritual walk and life.
The truth is, I reek at prayer. I reek at thinking about God more than a "Good morning, Lord. Help me not mess up," in the morning and a fleeting thought of "Thanks, God, for everything that got done," at night.
I should be praying every time I sit down at my computer to write. I should be praying for clients I edit, and for the people who will read the stories I write. I should be praying for the people I encounter when I'm on errands. I should be praying over meals and conferences and book fairs and sports events and just gabbing with friends. I should be praying more often than when a friend or family member faces a crisis.
I should be on a daily, ongoing, never-ending conversation with God.
And somewhere along the way get so used to being tuned in to Him that I actually start to HEAR what He says to me through everything and everyone around me.
Should
Should
Should
When am I -- when are you -- going to break out of the list of "SHOULD" and just start DOING?
So hold me accountable.
Will you be accountable?
Be accountable with me.

It's a Cyber Launch Party -- On a MISSION
Thursday, March 22, we're having a Cyber Launch Party
for THE MISSION, the 11th Tabor Heights novel.
We're almost to the end of Year One of the Tabor Heights books, from Desert Breeze Publishing. The twelfth and final book, ACCIDENTAL HEARTS, will come out in August.
Stop by the Cyber Launch Party blog starting at 10am on Thursday, and we'll talk about Tabor Heights, what has happened in the past "year" and what you can look forward to in Year Two, such as old friends getting married, babies being born, people you've met in previous books finally have romances of their own. Maybe you can offer suggestions of sub-plots you'd like to see or characters you want to have their own story. After all, there might be a YEAR THREE. If I can talk my publisher into it, at least!
Hey! Are YOU going to be at the Romantic Times Convention in Chicago in April this year?
If you are, look for a whole bunch of Desert Breeze Authors. We're going to have all sorts of goodies to give to our loyal readers, PLUS a little contest where you could end up winning a Kindle Flame. We're also going to have a panel on the changing face of Inspirational Romance. Sure to be interesting and informational.
See you there!

Enter the Chorillan Cycle
It's here!
AZULI EYES
Book #1 of the Chorillan Cycle
A Commonwealth Universe series
From OakTara Publishing
I'm delighted to announce that OakTara is now publishing the 5-book SF series, The Chorillan Cycle -- in PRINT and E versions.
Isn't that an incredible cover?
The next book, SCOUTS' PRIDE, is also coming up, to be followed by #3, BY FIRE AND STARS, #4, CHORILLAN, and the conclusion, SILVER AZULI.
Chorillan is a colony world, only a generation away from being a Rim world -- the frontier, rough and dangerous.
Now into the third generation of colonization, problems are showing up, impacting the most valuable possession of the colonists: their children. They call it Phase -- a sudden sensory overload, described by some as an allergy to anything manmade, perhaps to civilization itself.
And for some reason, the colonists of Chorillan aren't asking for help from the authorities in the Commonwealth.
Why?
That's the question that Scout Captain Ian Fieran asks, when a hunt for Gen'gineers brings his elite team to Chorillan. His investigation into Phase and other mysteries on Chorillan -- and the answer to why no one is asking for help -- turns into a quest for truth and to protect the innocent that takes his lifetime, and possibly the lives of the next generation.
So check out OakTara Publishing, the book trailers for the Commonwealth and the Chorillan Cycle on the front page, or my author page.
