What amazing heroes we have in Rob and Michele Reiner, David Geffen and Steve Bing for building the foundation of the most effective fight for equal rights the gay community has received. They have managed to combine money matters with brilliant legal maneuvering. The generous names that have signed onto their campaign are inspiring and surprisingly varied, yes gay and straight! Also, bravo to journalists Adam Nagourney and Brookes Barnes for getting this story on the front page of the New York Times on March 24. Hopefully more power and money will climb aboard this battle train. As Norman Lear puts it, "the right way to go."

Our country was not founded with money - our country was founded with ideals. Today is different. Money is the key to unlatching good causes or bad. We thank the people who are using their wealth to secure equality for all of us.

Wall Photos
One of the men is in the arts and the other is in the entertainment business. They both achieved success in their fields while carefully guarding their private world. Their life together was filled with humor as well as drama. They write of their rise from having no money and little success to one of them having exhibitions in important art galleries and works in museums; and the other going from acting to casting to producing and then becoming President of Warner Brothers Television.

"A love that once dared not speak its name sings freely—and beautifully—in DOUBLE LIFE, a fascinating, frank and page-turning memoir about the life-long love affair of two extraordinary men." —Candace Bushnell, author of Sex and the City
