Last night I started to read Frank Langella'a 'DROPPED NAMES', often linked and sold by Amazon with 'DOUBLE LIFE', a memoir that Norman Sunshine and I wrote.

As I read further into his book, I came to a chapter on Dolores Del Rio that mentioned a production of Anastasia that starred her and that I had been in as an actor. Frank was an apprentice at the Pocono Playhouse, one of the theaters on our summer tour. I had been hired to play opposite Miss Del Rio although I was much younger than she. When I was born, she was already a star of silent movies.

IN ALL MANNER OF SPEAKING:
A LOVE STORY FROM BROADWAY TO HOLLYWOOD

Kent Memorial Library will host a dynamic interview with the co-authors, Alan Shayne and Norman Sunshine, on Saturday, July 14th from 3pm to 5pm. This engrossing, moving and entertaining memoir is now in its 2nd printing and is soon to released in a Chinese version.

"I laughed and gasped at its inside-show-business stories and was intrigued by the cutthroat advertising and art worlds. Brilliantly written, filled with humor—and occasional heartbreak—DOUBLE LIFE follows a fifty-year marriage, revealing its love and warts.”
—Joan Rivers

"I became more immersed in my work than every before. Each morning after my swim and breakfast with Alan, I would head downtown. Hours would disappear as I stood working in front of my easel. Sometimes I would be accompanied by Bach or Mozart coming from my portable speakers, but mostly I preferred to work in silence with the soft, steady murmur of the city outside my open window." Co-Author Norman Sunshine in 'Double Life'
