D.J. MacHale It was definitely not a dream, and I don't believe he was ever in a coma. The powers of Solara are infinite, which is why Press was able to gift all the Travelers with the ability to live the "natural" lives they thought they had been born in to. Press had intended to send all the Travelers back to Solara, until Bobby pointed out how unfair that was. That changed Press' thinking, and gifted the Travelers with the lives they had fought for. Then, once they reached the end of those physical lives, they completed the journey and returned to Solara.
D.J. MacHale I'm often asked if I'd write more Pendragon stories. I'll never say never to anything, but in my mind that story is unique and doesn't necessarily lend itself to further adventures. Though I did bring back Uncle Press in Morpheus Road. He played a critical role in the 3rd book. So there was a definitely cross over of stories there.

D.J. MacHale I believe their paths crossed, but they weren't necessarily friends. The fact that they all live in Stony Brook was done for fun, as opposed to trying to create some kind of crossover narrative.
D.J. MacHale No plans right now. It was optioned once and put into development, but the producers tried to jam all three books into one movie which was a huge mistake and made for lousy screenplays. But I'm always open to trying again.

D.J. MacHale I honestly hadn't thought ahead to what happens to Marshall and Sydney, but they seem like too much of an odd couple to end up getting married.

And, when Marshall returns to the Morpheus Road for good, I have every reason to believe that he'll meet the Watchers, along with everyone else who has the traveled the road. And I imagine he'll follow the road to Solara.
D.J. MacHale (SPOILERS AHEAD) Well, I'm certainly not qualified to comment on whether or not Bobby suffered from PTSD, or any other mental affliction for that matter. But I did try to get into his head and imagine how the years of struggle affected him. As to whether not not a Traveler might suffer any kind of diagnose-able mental issues due to their true nature, the answer is absolutely yes. They were created to be human, and to think like humans. That was a the core of Press' plan. He wanted the Travelers to represent and behave like the inhabitants of each territory. He believed that was the way to defeat Saint Dane. It wasn't a show of might, it was the collective power and will of mankind that had to stop his autocratic rule.
D.J. MacHale Bobby felt as though the battle with Saint Dane was won, and the flumes were no longer needed. He was tired of the battle, had given up on any chance of seeing his family and home again, and decided to live on they idyllic Ibara. That decision alone is a key component to the story because as we flip over to Mark and Courtney's story, we realize that Bobby is totally wrong. Saint Dane was far from done. I wanted the tension and frustration to build up in the reader, knowing that Bobby was totally clueless as to what was really happening. So that moment when he realized he was wrong, and has to make a choice, is one of my favorite moments in the whole series. He's in that cave, looking at the Traveler ring on the ground. I wanted readers to think: "Pick it up...pick it up...PICK UP THE DAMN RING!" Bobby does, puts it on, jumps back into the flume and Hobey ho, off he goes.

D.J. MacHale As Morpheus Road progresses, there are definite tie-ins with the Pendragon mythology. In The Blood, a major Pendragon character plays an important role. As for anything I didn't write about in the Pendragon books, if I didn't write about it, then it didn't happen!

D.J. MacHale I'll never say never to anything, but I have no plans to continue the story. I won't give any spoilers, so I'll say that the answer to your Loor question can be found in The Soldiers of Halla.
D.J. MacHale Well, you're right. It's not my decision. That's up to the publisher. There are foreign editions coming out all the time that have different covers. I don't imagine that the domestic publisher would re-issue the books with a different cover, but you never know.
D.J. MacHale You may already know the answer to this if you've read all the books, but in case you haven't...no spoilers!
D.J. MacHale I'm not sure what you're asking about.

D.J. MacHale You have to read The Soldiers of Halla! That wraps it all up. I've written a few other series as well: Morpheus Road and The SYLO Chronicles. They are like Pendragon in that I wrote them, but different in that...they are not Pendragon.
