Hi, Mr. MacHale. As a kid I read Pendragon and absolutely fell in love with it. Unfortunately I never got around to finishing the series back then but I am now. My question is, are you still considering making a movie series? I feel like Pendragon could rival Harry Potter. Ever since re-reading the series that all I can think about!

D.J. MacHale Right now I'm trying to set it up as a long-form TV series. We'll see if that works.

A ten book series is quite the commitment. As someone who also has the tendency to stay dedicated to one vast fictional universe for a long period of time, I’m curious: how long before you began writing the merchant of death did you have the idea for Pendragon? And did you know how it would end when you began writing? Or did you make it up as you went along?
