I've always been fascinated with witches but never studied the Occult until I started researching for this series. Although I am very well versed in Christianity and religious mythology. My design with my version of wiccans is to create something unique to my world while keeping true to some of the customs of real Wicca. The reason why I do this is because in my books real witches are not human but one of the races of cain. At some point real witches did instruct humans in their ways but over time humans changed the way they pratice the craft loosing alot of power of real wicca.

I read a great book or I start working on another/new story. I find that reading gives me all sorts of ideas. On the other hand writing one story always sparks new ideas for other books. If all else fails surround yourself by like minded writers and pose your story dilemma to them. Sometimes it takes a fresh perspective to find a way around your writers block.

There's always a place to vent all your frustration in a creative healthy way. Instead of telling off the co-worker or family member that upset you, just use that anger and writ something brilliant in your book. It's far more productive then burning bridges.

Read, read and read! Then examine what your favorite authors did well. Then find an idea that takes over your whole life. Write down a quick outline to get you started and then sit down and write till your fingers feel like they'll fall off. Don't revise, don't look back till the whole first draft is down. It's okay if it sucks, just as long as you finish a draft. You'll find that once you've finished one draft that revising, rewrites and beefing up your Manuscript is the easier part.

I'm working on two books at the moment. The first is "The Coven" book three in the Children of Cain series with my darkly flawed yet like-able heroine Gwenevere. The second book is "The Fairies Kiss" A stand alone novel about a girl who finds herself suddenly moved from Manhattan New York to a small town in Ireland after her mother's death. She soon discovers that their are secrets in her parents passed that may change everything she knows about herself. Both are slotted to come out sometime in 2015.

Everything inspires me, but the bulk of my material comes from my own crazy subconscious. At night I become an idea factory. When I wake up I'm always baffled by what gems my sleeping mind left for my waking self to glean. I can stumble onto some awesome ideas while I daydream too, but the best ideas come to me at night.

It developed out of my imagining how I would improve popular urban fantasy books. The moral of the series comes from my observations as a christian. I've noticed that a lot of people do Christ like things because they believe they will be rewarded for these good deeds. where as Jesus always did the right thing simply because it was right, he needed no reward. So I wandered "What if you were damned no matter what you did? No matter if you were a good person or a bad person? Would you still be a good person if there was no reward, no blessing?" That question is at the heart of the conflict in my leading ladies tale. No matter what Gwenevere does more misfortune and bad luck greets her at every turn yet something in her forces her to endure even the worst of circumstances and some how come out a stronger better person. I think that's what makes her so likable and her story so relate-able for readers. She's not just a character but a flesh and blood person thrown into realistic situations, who responds with real emotions and deals with real consequences. I throw in the magical element for added drama.
