I'll give it a try.
A man once found the most powerful Jinn in the world and made a terrible wish to remove all hope.
The Jinn shook his head and with a wave of his hands all the creators disappeared from the world, leaving nothing behind but bleak emptiness where once imagination and potential and inspiration to great things had once burst to life.
I've never been good at horror, but that's pretty terrifying to me ;-)

Oh, that's a tough question, really tough. There are so many I would love to pop into, so many I would probably get my happy ass in trouble in. I would travel to Sandrine Gasq-Dion's Assassin/Shifter world and help them fight toe rogue werewolves. Of course, if I got bit, that would seriously suck because I'd go feral until I gained control of myself which might take a couple decades, but after what they did to Scott and Elijah, and Skylar, and all the others, yup, they need a whuppin'.

LOL I don't have a summer reading list. I have a yearly reading list and it's lllooonnnggg. I picked up Sinner's Gin by Rhys Ford (because I CANNOT read series out of order) and the newest release by Sandrine Gasq-Dion (RIP and Blessed be Dear Alpha) and I'll be reading those first. I picked up a couple new-to-me ebooks by NR Walker, R. Cooper, and several new authors, too many to list, that I'll give a shot to. Most of the stuff coming out seems to be series, and while I have nothing against series, if I don't like the first book I'm very unlikely to read the rest of it. What I also find in existing series is that book 5 sounds really good to me but since I absolutely am OCD about reading them in order, I have to get books 1-4 first and maybe they don't sound as good or they sound good and fall short, which puts me off reading the next one. I will because I REALLY want to get to book 5, but still, I like standalones a lot. Plus, I think some series get out of hand if they're not handled right. Sandrine did a wonderful job with her Assassin/Shifters and Santorno Series, so I didn't mind reading over 20 books at all. The Brac Pack series... don't even get me started, over 30+ books, I think 3 different series, and the same story over and over, I stopped reading it. When I have to jump from series to series to follow the main plot, I'm done. Anyway, like I said, I don't really have a 'summer' list so much as a 'yearly' list ;-)

Well, my first step is to move to a different work-in-progress. Sometimes, my muse just doesn't want to work on what I'm currently looking at and so, switching stories occasionally helps. When it doesn't, I go do something else. I'll read or play video games, or do some loom knitting, or watch movies. Sometimes, I'll get really crazy and even leave the house! LOL

Nothing quite compares to seeing your work in hard-copy. The first time I ever held a book containing one of my stories in my hands was almost as beautiful as the first time I held each one of my sons. It made every tear and every stressful moment I had fade away. Knowing people will read it is great and I hope they will enjoy it, but seeing it, feeling it in my hands, that's amazing.

Don't stop writing. Never let that spark in you go out. Listen to the advice of seasons authors but always do what's best for you the tales you're telling are yours.

I honestly don't work on one thing at a time, so to answer your question, I am currently working on the rest of the BL Entertainment series as well as some standalone pieces for my own imprint, BLE Press. I also have a folder on my computer containing about 350+ works-in-progress. There are days when I am able to focus on one story and days when I will literally work on multiple books at a time. There was one day when I had all four of the remaining books in the BL Entertainment series open and I was working on all of them.

I listen to music a lot and I read voraciously. Sometimes, my ideas come from snippets of dreams or an old fairy tale, or even a what-if question. Sometimes, they even come from a story I'm currently working on which is how the BL Entertainment series turned into a series!

I am sorry it took me so long to respond.
The idea came from a piece of Kpop fan-art I saw online. It was a Halloween piece where one of the members was a vampire. The stark contrast of the lighting, where one half of the piece was completely dark and the other half was the idol's face was lit up. He had a hint of fang and blood at the corner of his mouth and the word 'beware' was repeated in the darkened half, it was really beautiful. Then a Smashing Pumpkins song popped in my head, only instead of 'The world is a Vampire', the phrase was 'My Stan is a Vampire' which was the original working title of Night Kiss. Thankfully, we changed it because the term 'stan' wasn't used correctly and Night Kiss is actually a translation of the words Bam Kiseu.
